Hello Sylvia! I am a huge fan of your books, and I can't wait to read more! So, a question has been on my mind while I read your books, that you probably get all the time, but I don't know if you do, so, Where Do You Get Your Inspiration? Your books are clever and very original, and I have seen some authors with unoriginal ideas. Thank you for writing great books!

Everywhere. I've always been told that I have an active imagination. But usually the deciding factor for me in starting a book are these questions: "Have you read a book like this before?" and/or "Have you seen this character before?" If the answer is no, I know that's a story I want to tell. There's no point (for me) in trying to rewrite a story or character that has already been portrayed very well elsewhere. What would make a reader buy my story over a veteran author's story if they were similar? So I write what I hope are slightly unusual tales that readers can still relate to. I give a lot of credit to my editors, who let me take the risks I do.
