What also is troubling me big time, the Russian mafia. They have obviously been watching Gideon, they will want to collect, on covering up his crime for him. I smell trouble

I think it is Clancy is behind the bracelet thing.  His brother is FBI and would know how to lure the mob in the right direction.  It is possible that they (FBI) had surveillance on the Russian Mob and Clancy's brother shared knowledge that they couldn’t reveal because the FBI has a bigger fish to fry, so to speak. Clancy told Eva that she was more than a job and he said he would do whatever it takes to protect his family.

I'm hoping this isn’t someone else who wants to harm this couple.  The reason an outsider would help Gideon anonymously would be to shake Gideon down and then they would always have that hanging over their head.  I wouldn’t like that scenario and I don’t think Sylvia would use it.

Is the 10th floor being remodeled for Eva.?

I'm bringing this over Mrs. C. I also thought the 10th floor was being remodeled for Eva. I think maybe for her foundation. I also wouldn't put it past Gideon to try and own a piece of the ad agency.

I hope Clancy gave Gideon  a "free out of jail ticket"! At least it would be a "friend" and not one more problem...

The bracelet was a plot twist I really liked, well done to Sylvia!

Now this is the list of the characters I most hate in order:

1- (most hated)- Elizabeth

2- Lucas

3- Corinne

4- Christopher jr

5- Deanna

Most loved:

1- Eva, Gideon

2- Victor (ok, he should have not slept with Monica, but I think he was overwhelmed...)

3- Cary

4- Angus

5- Clancy

I also think her meeting up with Brett is TROUBLE. I can only hope that Cary is with her, that Dr. Travis helps to enlighten her, and last but not least she remembers she's MARRIED. BTW I loved that picturegate gave us a huge clue as to what would happen. :)

I know! And even though we knew from the review that they would get married I got so excited when i was reading it... as if I never knew it was coming! Lol ahhhhh it was perfect! I told my bf listen youre going to take me away to your Caribbean resort and we're eloping and have only two people there!!!... he just looked at me like I was crazy! hahahaha

LN this is my theory as well. I definitely think Anne helped push Corrine over the edge! I thinks she wants revenge on Gideon for dumping her.

I agree.  I think Anne even knew that Corinne was pregnant.  Anne is a sick chick just like her husband and brother.

It's obvious that Anne is Corrine's therapist..! That B I T C H is trouble all across the board..! When I read the book I read it from the end to the beginning first then I had to read it the right way as I got mixed up on some things, but surely Anne was feeding Corrine those drugs and probably putting ugly thoughts in her head..!

I said before that Monica would sleep with Victor but she's hiding something much bigger than that..!!

I knew graves was not just burning her notes when Eva confirmed she dumped Gideon..! But I also see graves as not out to get Gideon, I think she's keeping a watchful eye on the case helping to keep Gideon in the clear..! As she gave Eva more info at the Karv Maga class..!

Tatiana: I don't know what's her gig but I think she gave Deanna the house number..!

What the H E L L happen to Megumi..? I don't think Michael has anything bad to do with Eva or Gideon as Megumi was working there before Eva even came in the picture but something is fishy about that..!

I truly think Brett knew about the sex tape..! (I mention to someone that he didn't know) I think he is going to blackmail Eva with that very tape.! Eva should have said no to Brett to begin with like Cary said no means no..! She can't tell Gideon to stop talking to Corrine if she's going out to dinner with Brett..!!

Christopher Jr.. Not much to say about him: but if given the opportunity and if he'd had knowledge about the sex tape he'd use that to his advantage..!

Ireland: going to make the best sister, sister in law and aunt..!

Elizabeth: is going to have know choice (like Eva said) but to make amends with her son.!!

Now this son that Hugh left behind... This worries me...!! Because without knowing what his father did he could be out for blood, his uncle (dr Lucas ) could be putting stuff in his head about Gideon that is so far from the truth..! .....

Ok let me think some more...! Lol

Ok. What's Monica up to?

She has something to spill. She was her usual self absorbed character.

there is something that is making her stay for money :)

What Anne is doing is slanderous. Did she know she was asking to Eva at the dinner, when she was talking about Deanna and Gideon.

That is one twisted bi tch!

I found it difficult to believe that Corrine was 4 months pregnant and not showing. How could she not realize she was pregnant. I'll have to defer to our resident gyn Dr. Golfergirl to answer this one.

Well, I was wrong about an important part of my biggest pet theory about what was going to happen with the murder case -- wrong about the part concerning key evidence immediately becoming  inadmissible within the two-week timeframe of Entwined (inadmissible because Detective Graves illegally questioned Eva about the actual break-up.)

I never saw coming the fact that someone would try to frame a gangster, a now conveniently-dead gangster. Well played, Sylvia -- well played indeed.

I was right about the fact Graves and her partner have NOT dropped the case. And I also was right about the fact the cops do have Eva under some sort of surveillance. Graves knew Gideon took Eva out of the country for a weekend (boy, that must have freaked out Graves if she is, in fact, still trying to build a case against Gideon.) And Eva was smart enough to figure Graves and her partner had been watching for her (Eva) to arrive home from work that day they approached her about the dead gangster.

So the huge question now is -- who did frame the gangster? My thought is Clancy. We know now he had Nathan under surveillance. Clancy likely knew the history of that bracelet Nathan always wore and which turned up on the gangster's corpse.) And Clancy has possible access to insider information about international crime gangs, because Clancy does have a brother in the FBI, an agency that handles organized crime.

For our international regulars, the Federal Bureau of Investigation is the U.S.'s national police agency, and it handles only very specific types of crimes that cross state lines, including national and international "organized crime" like the Russia Mafia. The vast majority of criminal cases, included murders, are investigated not by the "Feds" but rather by the states in which the crimes are committed, where local and/or state police departments will handle the investigation. Gideon's murder case is a matter for the state of New York, and because the killing happened in New York City, the city's police department (NYPD) is investigating.

Because I don't buy for an instant there was any sort of actual connection between Nathan and a supposed sex trafficker. That sicko considered Eva to be his own sexual property and never would have stood for other men being allowed to use her body.

As things now stand, the murder case has gone "cold" -- which is NOT the same thing as closed. It's still "unsolved." To close it, the police would need to "solve" it by definitively pinning the crime on someone -- even if that person is dead. Solving a case means arresting someone, but it's not possible to arrest a dead murder. It is, possible, however to rule "the dead guy definitely did it" and that is the equivalent of an arrest. Graves still (correctly) views the dead gangster as some sort of loose end -- not THE end. Not yet.

Someone has inside knowledge about what Gideon did that night. Someone entered that room after Gideon left and removed the bracelet from the corpse. Until Gideon finds out who did -- and more importantly whether that person is friend or foe -- he's still in some sort of danger. Because a foe with inside knowledge is capable of turning state's evidence against Gideon, and if that foe could provide concrete evidence against Gideon (like eyewitness testimony) it might still be possible to attempt to get a conviction against Gideon at a trial.

If the person is "friend" and will keep quiet, then as things now stand, there's no way a prosecutor could get a conviction. The fact that it's clearly possible someone else committed the killing (the gangster) sheds doubt on the fact Gideon had done it. Solid "reasonable doubt" is all the defense needs for a slam-dunk acquittal. And under the U.S. Constitution, if Gideon were acquitted, never, ever again could he be charged with the murder. If the prosecution loses a trial, the case if over forever. The government isn't allowed to keep going after a defendant in order to try to win a trial a second time. So if there is a very real possibility the prosecution would lose, they won't dare go to trial. They'd rather sit tight and wait for new evidence that could turn the tide and make it possible for them to win. There's no expiration on a murder investigation.

Is Graves still trying to nail Gideon? That I'm not so sure of anymore. All I do feel certain of is that Graves hasn't yet let the matter drop. So just like we hopefully will find out whoever tampered with evidence (the bracelet) is friend or foe, we'll find out whether Graves too is friend or foe.

I think Graves will move on. I mean the NYPD have so many cases there is no way she could keep her focus on this one case for too long if there is no new evidence. And now it looks like the Russian mob was involved, as far as the police are concerned.

I don't feel uncomfortable about Gideon taking Deanna for a drink. I understood why it was done, but obviously with her behavior at the gala, she is going to do her best to get back into Mr. Cross' bed.

As far as Anne goes I took the info as her trying to play on Eva's insecurities. Gideon would have no reason to lie about his past relationship with Deanna.

Yeah I agree here, Gideon has said to Eva he would not lie to her and I don't think he would, he would know she would never trust him again if he did.  I think Gideon took Deanna out to try and smooth the way and I can't see her trying to get inbetween them if he is offering her a lucrative scoop for the wedding, if she went against him she would be sorry as he would probably make it that she did not work again

Anne Lucas makes me really uneasy as a very real threat to Eva. I think it was Anne who pushed Corrine over the edge -- someone had been prescribing psychiatric drugs to Corrine, drugs she was having a bad reaction to -- drugs that were making the already bad situation with Corrine a lot worse. Anne is a psychiatrist -- a medical doctor, not simply a therapist. A doctor who can prescribe drugs. A specialist who prescribes psychiatric drugs.

Dr. Terry Lucas saw Corrine with Gideon the night Corrine crashed back into his (Gideon's) life. Corrine already was in crisis by then  -- had left her husband, moved to New York, was desperately chasing Gideon. The Lucases moved in the same social circles as Gideon's family, Corrine's family -- what if Anne Lucas immediately latched on to Corrine to "help" Corrine deal with the fact Corrine's life was in crisis, all along with the agenda to destroy Corrine in order to hurt Gideon.

Not that I'm letting Corrine off the hook by any means. She already was manipulating Gideon even while she still lived in Europe -- so she bears responsibility for trying to "use" him as a "friend" in order to get access to him. And she opened herself up to being used by Gideon. The bad drugs didn't create the situation -- the drugs simply escalated stuff that already had been wrong to begin with, including things that Corrine clearly was at fault about.

Yes, Corrine was desperate -- but she wasn't psychotic. She would have been clear-minded enough to know what suicide would have done to Gideon. A part of me wonders whether the suicide attempt was simply an "attempt"  -- a desperate last ditch effort to get Gideon back, not an actual plan to end her life.

I agree Anne Lucas makes me crazy and I think she latched onto Corinne too.  I think Eva is thinking the same thing.

There is no way that I will give Corinne a pass I still HATE her and Sylvia will have to go a long way to make me like her in the slightest.  In fact, I'm not sure I ever will.  I feel so bad for Gideon that he is taking all this on himself and feeling cursed.

I really have to go to work now.

I think all of the theories about Clancy handling the "Nathan" situation are correct. I think he felt like he screwed up by not protecting Cary so he was probably thinking of taking care of Nathan himself.

Eva is being kind of a hypocrite here with the whole Brett situation. She told Gideon to cut Corinne loose yet she's still latching on to Brett. I think it was LN who said that she might be subconsciously trying to get back at Gideon. This may be so and if it is then she needs to cut him loose. I have a feeling when they go to San Diego its not going to end well.

I don't think Eva will cheat on Gideon. Especially now that they are married. In fact i think when she see's Brett she will tell him she's engaged and hopefully he will take a hint. Plus it's not fair for her to try and be friends with him.

I'm sorry she had to know. You can start feeling movement, flutters at 4months. She must have been delusional not too. She was probably regretting being pregnant, going back to her husband being her only choice or being a single mother.

I get why monica is so worried about money... I grew up in a house that wasnt very stable financially and I know that i wouldn't marry someone who isnt smart with money. They dont have to be a millionaire but financial stability is so important to me that they must at least be very very very smart with their finances. I know how difficult it is and the hostility it creates in a home so maybe she just experienced the same. Idk I dont want to speculate because while reading I realized ALL of my theories were way off lol

I want to add about Anne... WTF is up with her try to get to Cary. I understand the why, but what kind of marriage do her and Dr. Terry have? Who would accept this type of behavior from their spouse? Why stay together?

Who is Michael? Why is Megumi suddenly "sick"

Hi Paulatim!

I think the reason Brett is still in the picture is subconsciously, Eva is punishing Gideon for Corrine.

When Corrine had come back, she clearly was in love with Gideon and had an agenda -- getting back together with him. But Gideon thought (idiot!) is was possible for him to simply stay friends. Eva told Gideon, the night she met Corrine, that Gideon needed to nip Corrine's hopes in the bud and start weaning Corrine off, because it wasn't appropriate for Corrine to be involved with Gideon under the circumstances.

So what's Eva doing now -- idiot herself right now? Trying to prove she can be "just friends" with an ex (Brett) who clearly is in love with her and clearly has an agenda to get her back. Simply having contact with Brett is sending the poor guy mixed messages -- the exact same thing Gideon was guilty of with Corrine.

And what's the deal with taking Brett to Tableau One for dinner? That part of the story infuriated me, because it clearly was "payback time" for Gideon's first "date" with the Corrine weeks before.

I say "infuriate" in a good way -- I thought it was an excellent plot twist. The characters are supposed to make me feel different emotions, including anger. And there were so many different psychological levels going on. Sylvia did an outstanding job, I think, by keeping Brett in the story.

I think Eva feels bad for Brett and the way she has led him on and yes she needs to nip it in the butt herself and hopefully in SD she can do that with Cary being there, I don't think she should see him alone.  Maybe Gideon will put security detail on her again to keep her safe.

I think the Tableau One was so Gideon knew where they were and that Arnaldo would look out for her in case she needed him and I did not get the impression in the book that Gideon was angry she was going to dinner with Brett and was pleased she picked somewhere he owned to be closer to him and to give him the respect of knowing where she was.

I'm hoping Gideon goes with them to to keep an eye on Brett , or at very least send Angus to chaperone Eva.

I am hoping she doesn't cheat. Honestly her kissing Brett in RIY was hard enough for me to stomach. I understand she is unconsciously doing all of this with Brett, but enough is enough already. I don't think Brett is going to give up. She has told him point blank that she loves Gideon and he doesn't care. She really should have no loyalty to Brett. Why she felt she needed to support him is beyond me. She has had no contact with him for how many years... why pick up now?

I don't for one moment believe Corrine didn't know she was pregnant..! Especially at 4 months..!. At that point some women can feel movement..! So that's straight up B U L L S H I T I think she knew but she didn't want to be with her husband and was trying to find away to make Gideon sleep with her so she could blame it on him and when that wasn't working and she saw time was ticking she O.D knowing that she would miscarry..!

If Anne is her therapist I don't think she knew Corrine was pregnant it was just the point of keeping Corrine from Gideon
