I didn't set a daily goal either. I just know where I want to end up by the end of the month. And speaking of, I need to get in gear. I haven't done any work on the ms all day. :oops:

I had to give myself a daily goal, or I'd goof off. :oops: I'm still not going at a pace I'm really happy at, but I did hit my goal again today. 3 pages! Puts me at the half way point of chapter 1.

Two questions, how do you get the pictures with your name, and what's with the 'Master member', 'bronze member', etc? I wanna have a member designation! gg

In your profile you can add an avatar.

And member designations are based on the number of posts you make on the board. Keep posting and you'll work your way up the ranks! :smt024

I don't really have a daily goal...I just figure that if I write 3 1/2 pages a day I can reach the ultimate goal of 100 pages by the end of the month. As long as I hit that 100 pages, I'll be happy!

By the way, that's 100 pages of crap. I'll probably use next month's challenge to de-crapify!

That's the good thing about monthly goals...we can have easy ones, or hard ones! And sometimes de-crapifying is harder than writing. :?

Whoo-hoo! My grades are all imported. Oh, wait, that's the wrong goal.

Actually, my first writer goal for Jan. is complete. I've got my Story Bones for the Ash/Raye story (no title yet) filled out. Working on goal/motivation/conflict statements, then I'll start on my outline. Gotta figure out a way to make sure my spoiled, rather self-centered and opionated heroine is at least partially sympathetic.

Maybe if I just keep repeating the mantra, "Write normal characters, write normal characters . . ."

I am very happy with my progress this weekend. (I don't work Mondays so I consider it part of MY weekend) At the beginning of the weekend I said I was going to finsish THE DEVIL INSIDE if it killed me. Well, I'm not dead...and I didn't finish it.



However, I did write a total of 13 pages! 6 yesterday and 7 today. And these pages are almost finished product!! My cp's need to go over the ms for grammar, and uhm emotinal layering, but I think even they will be proud of how much I've improved since the last ms. Is it arrogant of me to say I've improved? :?



Anyway...I just had to come in here and jump up and down a bit because it's rare for me to get so many good pages done!



I hope everyone else is moving along smoothly.

I was going to pull out my quickpad last night but I got wrapped up in "Seize the Night". I think tonight I'll have to make that my reward for writing.

I just sent an expanded manuscript out. This is for my other publisher and under a pen name. I've been working hard on this thing trying to get it finished-- I've added almost 10,000 words to it. Only thing is, I accidentally left this one out of my goals for the month, so I haven't done a thing for the WORD challenge yet :oops: . I'm going to take tomorrow off, then get started on the futuristic for NCP on which I pledged to write fifty pages this month.

So I've gotten a lot of work done already this month, but alas, nothing for WORD. Feel free to crack those whips in my direction :shock: .

Me too - hi everybody :hello2:

I finished the draft of a new novella aimed at Brava :partyman: Of course, Kate is sitting on three submissions now and soon is going to refuse anything with my name on it or have me arrested for stalking her. I'm editing and cleaning up the manuscript and have gotten to page 46 in that process - so another 70 to go and I'm done for this month!
