My son just called me to say that my book cami in the mail, from amazon. I'm in Europe and hoping to be able to so the down load tomorrow morning. I'm flying from Paris to Florence, and would love to read it on the plane. Keeping fingers crossed. This forum has been wonderful waiting for the book to arrive. Can't wait to see what everyone thinks when we are done.

This is what Eva sees when she talks bout his incredible SMOKIN hotness!!
Oh yes! I could look at that all night!
-
Â
When you own the building, how much fun can you have?
Which, oh which building could they be having the fun in. I'm guessing they could have fun in every building he owns!
-
I'm a MONICA HATER also ...
LOL. Love it.
-
I would love to have been a fly on the wall, when Gideon Stanton, and Monica got together.
Could you imagine the conversation.
Wonder what Gideon really thinks of his potential mother in law?
I'm thinking he's not very fond of her. I don't think he is able to be as forgiving as Eva. She is always making excuses for her mother. It's time she stopped the excuses. Eva's guilt over her mothers guilt is ridiculous. Eva shouldn't have to walk on egg shells around her mother because her mother was blind to what was happening for 4 years. I'm ranting. Monica infuriates me.
-
Was that how Angus found her, when she went to lunch with Brett? Or did he automatically follow her taxi?
I'm sure Gideon has Eva's phone tracked. It is so easy to do these days. I'm sure she's figured that out by now also. It will be fantastic if at some point we get a better look into Gideon's mind and thought process.

I almost forgot my homework!! My favourite picks in Chap.15Â are:
Â
1) Cary's "What kind of vitamins does Cross take?"
Â
2) The thing about nightmares was that you couldn't prepare for them.... And they don't always happen when you are sleeping.
Â
3) Ireland's "You didn't see him watching you dance with your dad. his eyes got all shiny. I thought he was going to cry and on the way up here, in the elevator, he tried to play it off, but I could totally tell he was nervous."
Â
4)"Some people are just better off as friends"
"But you said you loved him."
   "That's not always enough."
Â
5) The other night..... seemed like a dream now, as if his visit never really happened. I could almost believe that I'd made it up in a desperate delusion, so hungry for his touch and his love that I couldn't go another minute without giving my mind relief from the madness of wanting and craving.
Â
Great choices. Â Love them all!

Hey maybe you can hook up with Gabri:D And if your hubby forgets the book I think he should have to swim back to Florida to get it! Have a great trip!
Â
Very funny! Â I will have to keep that in mind! Thanks. Â I'm very excited.

I am praying that I'm able to download my pre-order on my iPad. I'll be in Italy on the 4th, on vacation. I will have my husband bring the book copy that I also pre-ordered when he meets up with me in Rome on the 7th. I will have to stay off this website if I can't download the book. Oh, the stress is killing me.

This chapter by far was the saddest so far. Gideon's reaction towards Eva throughout this chapter was heart breaking. I have a feeling he was imaging not having a future with Eva because of everything he has done up to this point. Her broken heart is killing him.

Thank you, Kirsten, for the post. Hopefully someone from this thread will win.

OMG, Julie -- how could I forget?!!!
Â
My own burning spoiler question: what was Gideon's hair color policy when it came to the bedroom (er, hotel room in his case)?
Â
The redheaded Anne Lucas does not count toward official policy, because she was a revenge f*** not Gideon feeling frisky enough to get laid. Soooooo ..... when Gideon fell into a h.o.r.n.y mood, was the rule:
- Only brunettes need apply?
- Brunettes need not apply, I don't want to mix dating and sex like I did with Corrine, so no more brunettes in bed?
- Doesn't really matter - blonde, brunette, redhead. As long as she's willing, available and without expectations of anything more.
Â
I'd like to think it didn't matter one way or another. I'd like to think that the whole brunette thing was a Mommy issue, plain and simple, that Gideon was unconsciously striking back at his trophy wife brunette mother, who chose her rich husband's bribed doctors over her own child. Gideon is getting even with trophy girlfriend brunettes, ones he refuses to become intimate with, because his only attempt to combine both -- Corrine -- ended badly.
Â
If it's true he f*** only brunettes too, well I find that more disturbing, because it does make Corrine along with his mother far more of a sexual fetish issue.
Â
Either way, Eva has broken the Reign of the Brunettes. But I still want to know just how deeply the issue ran with him before he fell in love with an amazing woman who just happened to be blonde.
Could it be possible that the women he saw socially were brunettes only and the women he was involved with se***lly were anything. I would think if he was seen in public with women they were not the women he was taking to the bedroom.

I wonder if Sylvia Day is a fan of the movie "The Wedding Date". The line "I'd rather argue with you, angel, than laugh with anyone else" Is a great line and very similar to one from that movie. I loved it in the movie also.

Cavill quoted in an interview with the director of Man of Steel in the New York Times. "Having finally made “Man of Steel†almost a decade later, Mr. Cavill said he had learned to appreciate a hero who has spent his whole life hearing that he is special, while being told just as often that he must conceal the things that make him unique.
“Perfection without effort is, in itself, not perfection,†he said. “It’s just gifted. Just being right because you exist isn’t interesting. Doing the right thing, through hard work and the right decisions, is a better character.â€
Cavill sounds like the right person to understand and address Mr. C's issues. Not too bad looking either.
Very nice. Sounds more perfect for the role every day!

Â
OK, trying this with another Henry Cavill yummy picture, because it's Friday and we're feeling frisky!
He is so hot and definitely my picture of Gideon!!!!
-
How about "Exposed to You"
-
I never thought of Alex Pettyfer for Cary, but that would be great! I think Henry's movie career will prevent him from taking a tv role, so I now love David Gandy and Wentworth Miller for Gideon.
Â
Â
Has David Gandy ever acted? Â I think he is just a model.
-
Eva was so convinced after seeing Corrine leaving the Crossfire that something had happened between Corrine and Gideon because of Corrine's appearance. I find that interesting because whenever Eva and Gideon were intimate he always made sure she was presentable. He would have never let Eva leave his office looking like they just were just very intimate.
-
Yes when reading the books I picture Henry in the role of Gideon
Yum!!!
-
My question is: why did Angus offer to take Corrine home when he was waiting to take Gideon to a meeting which he was already late for.Â
Good question. Â I guess I read to deeply into the whole thing. Â
-
I like Matt in White Collar but I don't think personally that he is aggressive enough to pull off Gideon. Â I am a massive Henry Cavill fan and to see him in the Tudors and Immortals and Cold light of Day with Bruce Willis, he has so many different expressions I think he would be good.
Â
I am not sure about Scarlett Johansson as I would have thought she would be too old to play Eva
I agree. Â I don't think Matt Bomer can truly pull off Gideon. Â I also think he is to small to pull it off. Â I think Henry Cavill is great. Â I picture him as Gideon whenever I think of someone playing Gideon. Â I don't think his british accent would be a problem. Â There are plenty of actors that play accents that are not their own.
-
When Eva returns from lunch, she sees Gideon's care parked outside the Crossfire building. Â She assumes he just returned from lunch. Â How could he have returned from lunch, when he was still in his office when she was leaving for her lunch. Â He must take the shortest lunches. Â She only has an hour. Â

What's worse about what happened at the Waldorf was it was the second time Gideon stupidly mistreated Eva at a high society event.
Â
Eva was numb the first night she appeared in public with Gideon, but she noticed the second time (the Waldorf) that everyone was staring at them -- staring at Gideon the celebrity, obviously.
Â
So that whole fiasco at the dinner table, from Eva sitting there miserable to Lucas insulting Gideon in sight of everyone there, would have been noticed. In fact, people would have noticed Gideon dragged Eva out of there just before dinner. They'd naturally assume she and Gideon went somewhere to fight. They'd have seen her leave the dinner alone, walking out on Gideon. The prior week, they'd seen Gideon leave alone, walking out on her.
Â
Honestly, in high society circles, Gideon's come across as a total jerk to Eva. No wonder Deanna Johnson believes Gideon was simply using Eva to make Corrine come back.
Â
I don't think people knew who the beautiful brunette was, not that night, not unless someone remembered Corrine from society circles. Gideon had been a nobody years ago when he'd been Corrine's boyfriend and then fiance. And she'd just come back to New York that week after having been overseas for many years.
Â
Fast forward to the media frenzy later that summer when Gideon started taking Corrine out again. From the get-go, the tabloids knew exactly who she was. It's obvious Gideon made sure the info was leaked. The press had to get it right and get it right away -- Nathan was out there in a postal mood, and too much was riding on leaving to chance that it meant nothing Gideon was sitting with some woman other than Eva at a restaurant on a Monday night.
Do we know for a fact that Corrine and Gideon's relationship took place years ago? Also, do we know when Gideon made it big? He may have been very big in the high society while he was still with Corrine.

I have to say that's very HOT!!!

I am excited that the book will finally be out.Â
Has anyone read the Outlander series?  I love the way Diana Gabaldon writes. As much as I love the relationship of Gideon and Eva, the relationship between Claire and Jamie is one I feel I became a part of while reading it. The audiobooks are the best ones I ever heard also. The narrator, Davina Porter is fantastic doing all the voices.Â
