Looks like Amazon changed the date for paperback too. I emailed them a couple of days ago to see if the paperback was releasing later and this is what I got in reply:

As per your concern, I've checked and found that the book had some formatting errors so the publisher of the book "Cosmo Red Hot Reads from Harlequin" delayed the delivery of the book from November 12 to March 11, 2014. I apologize for the inconvenience caused.

Further, I've also escalated this issue to our kindle publishing team and I can assure you that this issue will be corrected soon.

One of our aims at Amazon.com is to provide a convenient and efficient service; in this case, we haven't met that standard. I'm truly sorry, and I hope you'll give us another chance in the future.

I realize this experience hasn't been as positive as you'd hoped, but I hope you'll consider this an isolated incident and give us another chance in the future.

I love Amazon. Their customer service is always great. Obviously it's not their fault the book is delayed.

I tried emailing Cosmo also, but I got an auto response, generic, that they are so backed up w emails that they couldn't respond. Nice, huh? I tired Cosmo and Harlequin. Auto reply from both.

I have emailed cosmos and they have emailed me back they told me that the department who deals I the e books will get back to me and explain what has gone on if their was something wrong with the books then you would think they would pick up on that months ago on wait until the book is due to go out that is so stupid what is really going on with this book

Ok, so the book next book was coming out Nov. 12 2013. Amazon you can preorder afterburn/aftershock in paperback for 10.49 and get Nov. 12,2013. For Aftershock by itself for kindle you have to wait until March 11,2014.

Hi lady's I know a lot of you are not very happy at the mo with the back date of aftershock I am one of them not happy at all if you go to the front of your afterburn book you will get the address web site address to write emails to them I think it is very unfair for them to say aftershock would be out on the 12th nov and we the readers have been waiting months for this book then put a new release date for the march 14 they are not thing how we the readers will be upset by what they are doing to sylvia herself and her fans

Well, according to Amazon the new release date is March,11th 2014

 

When I saw it i thought they're were kidding, that it was a bad joke. Such a short book (or novella) and we have half in August 2013 and the other half in March 2014? Seriously???

 

I really really think the publisher is playing games with readers (this is their customers) and everybody knows that when a "customers service" plays games once and another at the end they lose their clientele.

 

I've already done the  pre-order for this book (I did months ago), but this is my last. I'm not going to buy any other book from Penguin or Harlequim till the complete series is released, if I do. Business is business, it can take a time to say "this the release date", but once it's said, changing it has to be the exception, not normality.

 

I'm so sorry for you, Sylvia, but it looks like your publishers don't care about your books at all and they don't care about the readers. Not working, not fair.

I totally agree with you I think sylvia should change her publisher they are rubbish they can,t keep changing the date on books

They done to entwined with you which is not fair aftershock was going to be a early Christmas present for me now I can,t have it until March they have changed all the dates on Amazon now which is really bad I feel sorry for Sylvia ,s readers because her publishers keep doing this to her then people will be put buying them I have been waiting years for dream guardians some one should email her publishers and a complaint bout what they are doing there are a lot of upset people out their

Really sorry to read that, and also fustrated, yes. I do not know what's up with your publishers, but really not helping your carrier as this is something that's just not happening with other authors and their publishers. Not fair to us and not fair to you.

No need to be sorry I just think once they give a date for a book to come out they should keep to that date and not keep putting the date back it not write sylvia goes a fab job at writting her book they are brill and I love the crossfire books it,s like I have been waiting years for the dream guardians 3 rd book to come out if you won't to read them it starts with. The pleasure of the night then heat of the night they are written by Sylvia day have you read after burn that,s another good book aftershock should of come out on 12th nov but of course the publisher put it back until next year

I am new here and am loving this place     

 

After reading i felt i had to post, as the way i see it, is like this;

I am watching my favorite series on TV, its the final episode and i am so sucked in, but then it ends, excited , upset and left wanting more, suddenly i am  aware, I, will have to wait 6 to 12 months before its back on my screen. I know that it will be totally worth the wait. but need more, so i buy the series and watch again to see if i missed something, and to enjoy it all over again. I would not want the writers to rush and mess up the story line just for demand. This would spoil the magic and the hole story line.

I think this must be such a hard time for Sylvia and her team, so much demand for this amazing love story to show its next stage, i understand the need for the next books, but i also really feel for Sylvia as this must be so much pressure on her, I for one am happy to wait as i know the next two books will not disappoint and will have not been rushed through. I know i do say at times "I cant wait" but i can, and i believe it will be, SO worth the wait, the best things in life are   (lol, so excited !!! he he)      .

 

Sorry if i upset anyone by this  , But, I Love Sylvia Day's work, and appreciate the stress she must

be under, its her baby and she wants it right.

I just read what you written and the thing is sylvia has finished. This book and the cover is done and waiting to be released it is the publisher who is keeping it away from us which is not fair at all if the publishers keep going this readers will get pi...ed off Sylvia said captivated by you would be out by the ene of this year I doubt that now she normally does snippets before it come out but we have none

Don't know if it's about the publisher's profits or not, but if the dates tbidwell is giving are correct, we have to expect CBY around Christmas and book 5 by june, a new book every half a year (if all works properly).  Another thing is what we would like, not waiting a minute between books.

Reflected in you October 23 2013 , entwined with you 4 June 2013 I can,t Waite anymore for these book to come out I have got audio,paperback,and Ebook in every book I have reread theses books and listened to it over 10times now read karin tabke books very good .

In the first three books of the Crossfire series we have been introduced to the mothers of the main characters.  Both women had to deal with the sexual abuse of their children.  How they dealt with that abuse has helped to shape the adults at the center of this series.

 

Neither Eva nor Gideon had their biological fathers with them during their ordeal.  The absence of each man probably had an impact on what happened to their children and events in their lives afterwards.

 

Sylvia told us today old wounds, insecurities, and enemies are going to significantly effect the relationship between Eva and Gideon in the fourth book "Captivated by You".

 

Now would be a good time to discuss the parents.  We can talk about what they did or did not do, should or should not have done and in the case of the fathers could or could not do.

Hi Mrs C, Welcome back

 

There is something serious going on with Jax I am sure of it and I think it has to do with his family especially his father but Ian feels a bit slimy to me like he is holding something over Jax dad, I don't know just a gut feeling.  I think Jax does not like how his family is and tried to distance himself but keeps getting dragged back in but there is definitely something there that he does not want Gia involved in, I find him a bit like Gideon in that he wants to keep Gia separate from his family and to keep her safe but he is also hiding lots of secrets.

 

I think Ian secretly wants Lei back and he is trying to do thing to make her need him, he to me sounds a bit possessive

 

I just hope the next book is a bit longer so we can get to the bottom of it without it being rushed.
