Hi - just checked what I wrote to admin when this happened and my issue was resolved the next time I logged in, it was when the forum was being changed to the new style so that that may have been preventing me logging in.

Try clearing cookies and browser history. If that still doesn't work try a different browser - I'm using both Internet Explorer 11 and Microsoft Edge (with Windows 10) and not had problems since I wrote that message.

Being in the UK I can't subscribe but hope it goes on iTunes. Â
Â
I get your bit about the hair (in my mind I don't see Gideon with long hair either, just doesn't seem right although I did see a guy a while back on London's Regent Street who looked very good with mid-brown long hair who was pretty gorgeous and he did look business-like although dressed smart casual).
Â
I liked the short bit we saw of the brothers without their shirts . . . . . . . .Â

Video taster now up on the Passionflix Facebook page.

There's a You Tube video trailer for the Hollywood Dirt movie which is the first output from Passionflix which will give a flavour of how the films will look. If you've read the book the trailer will make sense.

I only know what the author herself has written on her web site:
Lionsgate optioned the rights to the Crossfire saga in 2013 and renewed the option twice. After three years of development, Sylvia declined to option again and she presently retains the adaptation rights. She eventually expects to find the right partner, but for now, the Crossfire series is no longer in development.
I know things in the film and music industry can move slowly but three years just 'developing' without casting and filming of a story that exists seems a long time.
As to similarities between the two stories well of course there are, as there are with a lot of the books of this genre. It can't have been easy to finish the last two books after the full publication of the Fifty Shades books, with the past comments about similarities, and ensuring any idea Sylvia had that ran along the lines of what happened in Fifty were not put into the Crossfire books. I do not like the idea of bdsm (and Christian turning out to be a sadist) so was pleased that despite some early hints that Gideon might have such inclinations, the books didn't turn him into someone who got off on physically punishing the person he loved. Could you see Eva kneeling in submission!!!  -
Jax will be played by Tyler Johnson

Gia by Caitlin Leahy

From the many comments on Facebook some are happy with the actress but not one seems to like the actor. Personally feel they can't be judged until we actually see them in the role rather than just posing for a photograph. Â
If ever Crossfire gets to be filmed I dread the comments that will be made about whoever is chosen to play Gideon, doubt any of us will be happy (no point wishing for Henry Cavill or David Gandy as they are now too old to play the part).

If I have interpreted one of Sylvia's latest tweets correctly the casting will be announced on Tuesday.
-
I guess updates will be on the website, Twitter and Facebook once known.

(Sylvia did confirm she's pretty much finished writing So Close so fingers crossed we get news of that soon).

I remember some discussion over why the fact Mark was leaving would mean Eva would lose her job and we did not come to any conclusion as to why. It wasn't as if Mark's role was redundant, he had been approached by another company so his role still existed so one would have expected him to be replaced and Eva work for his replacement.
-
Re Eva I think we have to wait to find out what she became. The indication seemed to me to be she would be taking on the charitable side of Gideon's world and I would image we will find out when the books about Ireland are written. She knew that Mark was moving to work for Gideon and for whatever reason her job would no longer exist when he left so her quitting wasn't a total surprise.

A facebook user asked if the UK would be able to see the films, she believes so but is checking, also thinks they may go out on DVD. The movie may also be available via Apple TV and Amazon video - she will update via FAQ on her web site so I'll keep an eye on that.
-
They've also signed K Bromberg's Driven series - just hoping there will be a way to see these in the UK at some point as there must be quite a lot of readers here who would love to see their favourite books as movies.
-
Looks like the movie is due in November, so far the site is US only though.

The Hollywood Dirt movie began filming today - link to the author's site for details (admin hope it's okay to post this here, I realise it doesn't relate to Sylvia, but gives information on what Passionflix are doing and our hopes that Afterburn/Aftershock will be filmed and how we will get to see them)
Â

I think it's a 'netflix' type of company, possibly streaming through an app? Just had a look at their Facebook page and they've signed PR people up.
Johann Urb has signed to play Cole in Hollywood Dirt.

One of the Lauren Landish/Willow Winters books - I read a few of them one after the other and realised one I had already read.Â
I think most books I've read have had an HEA - Carnage springs to mind as being one that didn't and was one that definitely made me ugly cry.
-
We've been chatting a little about this in the Afterburn Snippets thread. I believe the author was hoping it would be released next year. The company are currently working on Hollywood Dirt by Alessandra Torre which should be out in September, then a Julie Kenner in October, with the final movie for this year being December. The coming soon then has Afterburn/Aftershock first in the list.

She's in the UK at the moment for some book events, but nothing to promote at the moment as she's still writing So Close.

I use a favourite to reach this page. It does occasionally sign me out, but most sites do that.Â
Â
You are both making me want to re-read the Crossfire series, but I have so much on my tbr list at the moment. I read a book on my iPad the other day and realised towards the end that I'd read it before but couldn't actually remember having done so - yet I can recall quite a lot of the Crossfire books, for some reason they made a big impact on me.

(Gideon ......!!!!!)

This is what the author has to say in the FAQ on her web site.

When will A Taste of Seduction release?
ÂThe release of A Taste of Seduction is on hold at this time, as I’m no longer working with Penguin USA and my other publishers want me to focus on the stories and series I am contracted to develop with them. I’ll work on the conclusion to the Renegade Angels series as soon as time and my commitments allow. I’m very sorry to leave readers in suspense. I appreciate your patience and support.

Will there ever be a Cross Movie? TV, HBO or otherwise?
ÂComments
Sylvia Day I certainly hope so. The biggest hurdle with the Crossfire Series is finding a showrunner--the writer who will oversee the creative development of the series and the pool of writers who will pen the scripts. We've been searching for 4 years now and still haven't found the right person with the right take. But we haven't stopped searching and one day, we'll find the writer who can bring the books to life on the small screen -
On Facebook, in a post about the Jax/Gia movie, someone said they were hoping for Crossfire - Sylvia's response:
Â
Sylvia Day I know. *fingers crossed* that day is coming sooner rather than later!ÂÂWe must live in hope.Further down answering another point about Jax getting on film before Gideon she says:
Â
Don't be disappointed! The more hunky men the merrier. Just because Jax got his way first, doesn't mean Gideon won't grace our screens later on

The only problem I have is that I am not receiving e-mails when someone posts on topics I have subscribed to. And today I could not access the forum using my 'favourite' on my computer but had to come via the web site.Â

Looks like the film will be out next year, the author's posts about it seem positive. She's also confirmed in answers to questions on Facebook that Gideon and Eva will feature in the Blacklist books as all the books are interlinked, and the Ireland books may be a 'few years' before they appear.Â
I think she once said all her books are connected - I've not read the historical or paranormal books but may have to explore those if that is the case.Â
So Close
in The Blacklist Duology
Posted
We get to see the Crossfire characters in the Blacklist books, and then again in those to be written about Ireland.
I think I read a response from the author saying the book was ready for editing (not 100% sure though). We do wait a long time for the books (and I presume the 3 remaining of those mentioned are still to be written) and I am impatient to read them all but would rather wait for them to be ready in due course rather than rushed. I find there's no point comparing the rapidity of one author's output to another as they all work at different rates - some are extremely prolific but with varying levels of how good the content is.
It is understandable that people want to know more about Gideon and Eva - we left them on a happy note which was great and I like the fact Sylvia didn't follow the norm of other writers to add an epilogue about the future - now we know we will hear more about them in future books this may satisfy the multitude of readers who complained about not getting that info (and about Cary etc.) Â (That is, of course, the readers who didn't stamp their feet and throw a 'paddy' saying they'd never buy this author's books again which to me seems a little childish but each to their own).Â
I believe the Afterburn Aftershock movie will also be available to download from iTunes. Being in the UK I couldn't subscribe to Passionflix although in comments on Facebook I've seen that Australia gets the service soon so maybe the UK will, but I shall probably just pick the movies of the books I have really liked and download from iTunes. I think the first movie from Passionflix, Hollywood Dirt, is available from mid to late September.
