  1. I like Matt in White Collar but I don't think personally that he is aggressive enough to pull off Gideon.  I am a massive Henry Cavill fan and to see him in the Tudors and Immortals and Cold light of Day with Bruce Willis, he has so many different expressions I think he would be good.

I am not sure about Scarlett Johansson as I would have thought she would be too old to play Eva

I totally agree with you. Matt Bomer is NOT Gideon. He is nowhere near masculine enough for this role. I love Henry, David Gandy, Wentworth Miller for Gideon. Even though Gideon has longish hair in the books. I hope he doesn't in the tv series.

  2. Gideon - the funny thing alot of people who want certain actors to be Gideon also want them to be Christian.   I can't decide.   I know that Ian Somerhalder is not Gideon.

Eva - Brittany Snow (she's been in several movies and tv series) or Candace Accola (Vampire Diaries)

Monica - Somebody mention Nicolette Sheridan but she's not young looking.   Monica is suppose to look young enough to look like Eva's twin but yet old enough to be her mom.

    Stanton - Ted Danson

Brett - Adam Levine - yes - I wish Jon Bonjovi was young enough though

    will check back later.

I agree that Ian Somerhalder would NOT make a good Gideon.

  3. Hi Everyone, I am new to this. I have read both books. Would someone be able to help me out with the scene when Gideon and Eva were at Dr Peterson's office and Gideon pulled Eva in the hallway and gave her a look, what did that look mean? I believe it was at the end of Chapter 8.

Hi! I asked Sylvia the same thing on Twitter and this was her response:  She's a runner, but she told Dr. Petersen that failure wasn't an option. That was huge for both of them & meant a lot to Gideon.

  4. I get the sneaking suspicion that Will (Eva's new co-worker in RIY) will be trouble for Gideon and Eva in EWY. I wonder if he plays a role in Gideon's past, Corinne's disheveled appearance outside the Crossfire,  Any possible scheming Corinne and/or Magdalene will engage in to keep G & E apart, or Nathan's blackmail plot.

  5. I have thought some of the same questions as the ones above. I think Gideon's rapist was definetly a man - Gideon refers to him as male every time. I also think Gideon took revenge on his abuser and that the guy may not be alive or was hurt so bad that he's hiding out somewhere scared. He may even make an appearance in EWY and it becomes Eva's turn to get revenge for Gideon - that would be kinda cool. I think the stage has already been set for Gideon's abuser to either show up or the story of what Gideon did to him to come to light. I don't believe his dreams where Gideon's the aggressor are just fantasy; I think they're real life memories. And now having killed Nathan... what kind of dreams will Gideon start having now! I so can't wait for EWY.

I also wonder who the other doctor was that Gideon's mom took him to see and what was his motivation for lying? Are these doctors Elizabeth knew before hand and they lied about the abuse because they were victims of the ponzi scheme Gideon's father tricked people into? Somehow I get the feeling that Gideon's past is going to be shockingly bad. 10x more than Eva's. Come on May 7th.

I often wondered what happened to Gideon's rapist. Is he still living? How did Gideon get his revenge? I don't know what I'd do if it turned out that Gideon raped his rapist?!?! I also think Gideon's abuse will turn out to be much, much worse than Eva's.

  6. I want to know what Gideon and Corinne were talking about every ###### day?! And why did Gideon hide the fact that he was in constant contact with Corinne from Eva?

I loved RIY, but I would've changed the Brett/Eva kiss at the concert. I would've preferred Eva being honest with Gideon at the concert and told him immediately about her past with Brett. But because she wanted to make him jealous, I would've liked for Gideon & Co. to go backstage and for Eva to walk off with Brett to talk like Gideon did with Corinne. Lol. Lol. Then she should've set up a friendly lunch date with him in front of Gideon. That would've driven him crazy and it would've flowed better within the story. Kissing Brett knowing Gideon was going to see was a little disjointed. It didn't flow naturally with the story. It would've been different had Gideon let Corinne kiss him, but to allow Brett to kiss her because Gideon talks to Corinne and had been engaged to her seemed silly.

  7. Eva - Amber Heard

    Gideon - Henry Cavill

Cary - Alexander Skarsgard with darker hair

    Corinne - Eva Green

    Magdalene - Jessica Alba

    Monica - Michelle Pfeiffer

    Stanton - Aaron Eckheart

Elizabeth - Marion Cotillard - young but ages great with makeup = La Vie En Rose

    Christopher Sr. Phillip Seymour Hoffman

    Christoper Jr. Bradley Cooper

    Ireland - Kristin Steward

    Victor Reyes - George Clooney

    Nathan - Christian Bale

Dr. Lucas - Daniel Day Lewis - His hair is all white now - looks good.

    Parker - Taye Diggs

    Brett Kline - Jared Leto

    Mark - James Fraco

    Steve - Seth Rogen

    Angus - David Caruso

    Megumi - Qing Xu

    Scott - Jude Law

    Tatiana - Brooklyn Decker

    Trey - Josh Harnett

Wow! Those are some really cool casting choices! Mark is African-American so I don't think JF would be a good choice for that role. But I really like your ideas for Dr. Lucas Trey, Corinne, and Scott. I like Amber Heard for Tatiana. Eva is described as short and curvy so I can't see AH playing Eva.

  8. Eva - Candace Accola

    Gideon - David Gandy

Cary - (I haven't found someone to match the picture in my head)

    Monica - Barbara Niven

Stanton - James Read, Ted Danson

Victor - Benjamin Bratt, Mark Consuelos, Antonio Banderas

Mark - Darryl Stephens, Taye Diggs

Steven - Damian Lewis, Kevin Allison

Megumi - Nazanin Boniadi, Kristin Kreuk

    Angus - David Wenham

    Corinne - Olivia Wilde

Magdalene - Megan Fox, Jessica Clark, Francia Raisa

Elizabeth - Famke Janssen, Andie McDowell, Mary Steenburgen

Christopher Sr. - Ted Dansen, John Slattery

Christopher Jr. - Chris Pine, Zac Efron

Ireland - Camilla Belle, Lands Fonseca

    Shawna - Renew Olstead

Parker - Jesse Williams II, Shemar Moore

    Dr. Lucus - Anderson Cooper

    Dr. Peterson - John Slattery

    Trey - Jesse Spencer

Nathan - Garret Hedlund, Matthew Gray

    Brett - Adam Levine

    Scott - Matt Barr

    Tatiana -

    Gideon's receptionist - Danneel Harris

    Arnoldo -

    Will -

    Clancy -

    Detectives -

I like several of you picks! I added a few to my cast list. The Victor and Megumi picks are amazing.

  9. I know there have been questions about how Gideon was abused. I definitely think Gideon was raped and I think his rapist was male.

Gideon: "You're going to know what it feels like... Not so neat and tidy when you're the one getting f*****." pg. 281-282, BTY (paperback edition)

Gideon: "He made me come. Every goddamned time, he wouldn't stop until I came, so he could say I liked it." RIY, pg. 331 (kindle ebook)

Initially, I thought Gideon was raped by his stepfather, then I realized that would be too obvious and Gideon wouldn't leave his sister to be raised by a rapist. I've been wracking my brain trying to figure out who the "...shrink and a doctoral candidate she was supervising" are. Did Gideon tell the shrink? Why was the doctoral candidate allowed to be alone with Gideon after the allegations of sexual abuse arose? How long was Gideon abused? So many questions!

I'm not sure about the doctors and their findings (or lack thereof) on Gideon's sexual abuse. I'm not sure if I think they lied or if the doctors checked before there was penetration or what. We know Dr. Lucas checked Gideon out and claimed he found no signs of sexual abuse, but who was the other doctor who checked Gideon out?

  10. If Gideon could get information about Eva, anyone could. Almost everyone in the book has means to dig up information on Eva. Which means anyone of them could of found out about Nathan and injected him back in Eva's life as a way to break her and Gideon up not really knowing how dangerous he is.

You know Gideon looked that the security cameras and was watching what Corinne was doing that day she was in the building. You know he either knows or has an idea about what Corinne is up to by the time he starts using her a pawn in his plan. I think he just needed to put all the pieces together before he could include Eva in on what was really going on, that or the less she knew the better off she was until it’s all over.

of course, he could of given her a heads up, thrown the girl a bone, something to ease the pain. Eva's a smart girl.

I actually agree with the way Gideon handled the situation. I love my girl Eva, but I think it would've been a colossal mistake to even hint to her what was going on. You see how she reacted when the detective camre to her apartment and questioned her about Nathan. She ###### near had a breakdown. She wasn't ready to have any knowledge of Nathan or his actions. Eva wouldn't have been able to act 'normally' after gaining that knowledge and her reactions needed to be natural in order for this plot to be pulled off. I think Gideon played this one perfectly.

  11. Great insights, ladies!(Dnmouse, Tiffany2, Argodon817,MsGemini)..

Have you read Sylvia Day's New Years Day teaser

http://www.sylviaday...l-teaser-years/ Sooo beautiful to hear Gideon' point of view!

I feel that Gideon is going to have some sort of financial calamity :(...

The New Year's teaser is very intriguing. I, too, loved reading the story from Gideon's perspective:) When Eva says it's dangerous for Gideon to be in her apartment, Is she referring to the investigation into Nathan's death? I don't see how it could be that since the investigation was (supposedly) closed at the end of Reflected. Why do you think Gideon will suffer a financial calamity?

  12. Of course we don't want to believe Gideon or anyone would kill, but I'm not ruling it out. The detective said Nathan was to the point that he was going going through Eva's trash-the point where an obsession is deadly. How many parents say and know in their hearts that they would kill to protect their child. I think Nathan threatened Eva, Gideon or their families and Gideon knew it was a matter of time that in that one moment when Eva or one of them was out of his protective eye, Nathan would harm. Kind of like the saying, "I'm going to kill you." And the other person says, "Not if I kill you first." We'll see. ONLY SYLVIA AND GIDEON KNOW :)

Personally, I don't mind Gideon killing Nathan. I was actually looking forward to it. That monster should've been offed long ago. And Gidoen eliminating the threat to Eva's life and well-being was so intense, so passionate... it was beyond love. Like Gideon said, love isn't the right word for what he feels for her. Gideon's feelings for Eva transcend love.

  13. I never thought of Christopher blaming Gideon. Very well could be. I want Gideon to have another showdown with the rock star and I want a Cross/Lucas showdown. Jeez. I can't wait for the book!!!

Yes! A Gideon/Brett face-off would be amazing! I hope he'll pop back up in Entwined. But I'm on the verge of a nervous breakdown anticipating the Cross/Lucas showdown!! That is going to be EPIC! I just wish Gideon would warm up to his sister:(

  14. Christopher may have been abused too. Remember he was acting up too and the mom sought therapy when she became pregnant for her daughter and all. Eva didn't tell of her abuse. Maybe Christopher, who was younger than Gideon, just didn't tell. I teach six year-olds at a private school of mostly prominent families and this topic hits such a nerve with me. It's my duty to report signs etc. and I've had to. Sickening and heart wrenching.

I agree with you. I think Christopher Jr. was also abused and refused to tell because of the abuser's threats or because he somehow blames Gideon for their abuse. CJ may think that the abuser wouldn't have come if not for Gideon's acting out. And something tells me the stepfather is also to blame.

  15. I'm interested to see if the detective's theory on what happened to Nathan is true! What do you guys think??? Also I'm forward to a showdown b/w Gideon and Christopher, it just seems like there's so much tension between them!

I think the detective's theory is correct and Gideon killed Nathan. I'm also looking foward to the Gideon/Christopher showdown. I think they were both raped by the therapist and Christopher somehow blames Gideon for the abuse.
