This is what I believe. 

 

I think Lucas has looked for ways to get back at Gideon since the day he dumped Anne but Gideon's sexual relationships were so secretive because Gideon didn't date.  Eva was the first person that Lucas could use to find the dirt on Gideon.  I believe that Deanna is related to, or a friend of Anne and/or the doctor.  I'll bet she is part of a plan put in motion long before the current expose  she is writing.  If Gideon tells women up front, like he did with Eva, that there is no hope of commitment it is just a roll in the hay, Deanna really couldn't use that against him and, to be honest, it wouldn't make much of a story.  The fact that the world believes Gideon dumped Eva for Corinne is a story that reads like a soap opera and will be easier to sell.  It is also a story that will shine a negative light on this rich, philanthropic hottie.

I don't know who I dislike more---Lucas or Christopher Jr.!! Gideon and Eva cannot deal with all of this s*** alone!! WHO can help them??

Before FSOG I had never read any erotica except some of the classic stuff like O and Nin, etc. in college. Also tried Sleeping Beauty but couldn't stand it. I liked Fifty enough that I wanted something else like it and someone suggested BTY and RIY. After I read (and re re re read ) those, I couldn't get into FSOG again. Wish I could - to help me get through the wait!

The control issue obviously comes from the abuse they both suffered through. Eva needs control and loves to be on top but by her own admission she loves when Gideon is on top. Lets say Eva had never been raped she would never had these issues with sex. I think she finds it refreshing to trust someone enough to let Gideon take control and knows Gideon will take care of her. Its like she said that Gideon is erasing Nathan's touch and giving her back her body. But she loves Gideon so she wants to willingly give her body Gideon and be his completely. Before Gideon Eva's body was her own and she allowed men to have sex with on her terms. Gideon issue with control is he needs Eva to trust him enough to give herself over to him completely and in return he makes sure she is satisfied and isn't selfish.I think Gideon's problem with the limo even though he was extremely turned on was that Eva wasn't submitting to him and viewed that as though she didn't trust him. I don't think Gideon will ever get over his need for control even with therapy because of his abuse he probably feels emasculated when he isn't able to control the situation. I think the times Eva is on top are to give her comfort and sometimes to give him piece of mind that she still wants him but he's always topping from the bottom.

In chapter 17, Eva doesn't seem to be totally satisfied when she tops/dominates Gideon.... I feel that is why she woke up ###### in the middle of the night, she had the need to be submissive sexually/the need to be dominated sexually...

This chapter was heartbreaking. I cried for both Eva and Gideon. The hurt they were both going through, was indescribable. Eva knowing that Gideon had seen the photos of her abuse. Gideon knowing that he had to use her love for him against her. I have never got emotional over a book before. The whole two books are emotional. I'm expecting book three to also be tough on the tissues.
