From what we've seen so far I seriously doubt Gideon needs Viagra!!!!

You're are right, I was only joking... but who knows in twenty years' time!

but then maybe it's only me needing a soothing pill. :)

I actually emailed E.L James to let her know how I like the series and told her the same thing of wanting the series re-written from CG's POV. She responded that she is tinkering around with that but not to get my hopes up as it might not be published. So fingers crossed it might. To be honest I would absolutely LOVE if SD re-wrote the Crossfire series from Gideon's POV after the original series is complete.

I've heard she's had quite a few requests for his POV.

Thanks LN

Also like you, us in Scotland have different holidays than Julie does in England.

Some holidays are UK spread and some we have in Scotland Julie would not have in England

ST Paddy's day (St Patricks Day in irish) is mainly celebrated in Ireland but here in Scotland we like to join in, any excuse for a party.

In Scotland we have St Andrews Day (Patron Saint of Scotland) at the end of November

In England they have St George's Day - not sure when

We also celebrate Burn's day with Rabbie Burn Supper, usually Haggis which being a true Scot I love.

I love how in this forum no matter what you have gone through in life, these books uplift us and unite us all together as one big happy Crossfire Family LOL xx

Catching up on the posts...about 20 yrs ago I was in Ireland for St. Patty's Day and I was even told then that the US made it into the party holiday.   I was only one wearing green too.

"For those of you worried about the EWY snapshots and how you're going to feel when you get to the end, here are a few snippets of advance reviews:

"This third book was beyond anything I expected, in a good way. Funny, romantic, erotic, inspiring. " - Andrea

"I have only one word for this book- PERFECT!! Just perfect... (Sigh...)" - Aria

"Very romantic. And the best of the series so far..." - Marianne Mathina

There are a lot of pivotal turning points in the book, but I really think you'll love it. At least I hope you do

My theory is that Dr. Petersen prescribed the sleeping pills to see whether they would be enough to Gideon from being able to act out (i.e. turn aggressive) in his sleep, thereby giving the breathing room needed for the therapy to start working on the underlying issues.

The medication didn't work, because Gideon attacked Eva a second time. After that, Dr. Petersen recommended to Gideon that he not sleep in the same bed as Eva, advice that Gideon decided to take.

I think, though, that Gideon might be willing to risk sleeping in the same bed as Eva again once she knows what's behind the nightmares (and so he no longer needs to fear what he might say or do while asleep, fearing something that slips out would drive Eva off.)

Because Eva is not helpless. The only time she's actually used her Krav Maga skills was the second time Gideon attacked her (Cary had intervened the first time.)

If she can convinced Gideon that ....

  • Now that he's shared his deep secrets and knows she's not going to leave, he need no longer fear what he might say in his sleep
  • Because she has the physical skills to defend herself against anything he might do in his sleep, he does not need to fear victimizing her.

.... then I think she can convince him it's safe for him to share a bed with her -- and with that, share a home with her, share a life with her.

I believe Gideon takes a class of drugs for his parasomnia called SSRI's . They are considered antidepressants and are not habit forming. Typical sleeping "pills" are considered controlled substances and are addictive. It would really not be the correct form of drug therapy for his disorder. I think Gideon is probably more comfortable with the idea of taking something non habit forming as most people are. He does need to take the medication on a regular basis once he starts it and if he does discontinue it , it should be done gradually and not abruptly as that could actually trigger nightmares and other side effects. That being said ;with all that has been going on, I wonder if Gideon has been compliant with his meds and his appointments with Dr. Peterson. Even with Eva by his side, his best chance at alleviating the nightmares would be the drug therapy+psycho therapy+Eva...

Where are the others.?

The others are in the main EWY page on Goodreads. You can access it through the link you quoted. Just click on the cover of the book then scroll down and right where you see the community reviews under that you'll see the word sort and change it to newest and that will show you the newest reviews.

Click at your own risk as there are spoilers lurking in those reviews.

Will soon see if he continues with the therapy by himself.

Yes indeed!!!! And more and More i am going to work on that Change.Org petition now that it seems like we will be at the mercy of publishers and not SD in regards to upcoming releases.

idk what you ladies are seeing but i didn't see any "major" spoilers. maybe im looking in the wrong place.. But i can wait 7 more days. :)

I agree with you MrsCrossfire... to me they weren't any "major" spoilers... just hints at what we've already discovered, or read ourself in the snippets or confirmed from Sylvia.

Maybe I was expecting more... like the remaining 20.5 chapters :-)

I took issue with the one major spoiler. We might have theories based on the snippets, picture posts, and snapshots, but they are theories. To spoil the book for people not wanting to know, is just not right. Plus while it might take a little bit of thought she could have posted a spoiler free review. Aria did.
