  1. Excellent point -- I think the best way many of us want to savor the story is nice and slow. Kinda like Gideon makes love to Eva, a nice pace instead of "wham, bam, thank you mam."

But I'm wondering whether certain specialty threads might make sense for people who want to focus on a particular larger subject right away. Mainly to separate topics that cover multiple chapters (like the exes) from the chapter by chapter stuff. Make things easier for people who do want to jump ahead to particular characters versus people who want going over everything with a fine tooth comb.

I figure people will be starting their own threads too, like they have all along -- and which is GREAT, by the way. That's one of the beauties of this site, the ability of each person to start a thread, rather than it being run by moderators.

How about this -- those of us who want to do a chapter a day work together to create a thread for that. I think a second master thread clearly marked SPOILER in all-caps should be started too, to give fair warning to anyone checking it out that they might stumble across all the shockers right on up to the end of the story. So folks who really want to avoid spoilers for the time being can steer clear of that one until they're ready.

Maybe those two threads, then leave it up to individuals who might want to set up individual thread to focus on very specific things, like the murder case, how things unfold with characters like Corrine and Brett, etc ....

If this works, I'll create the two main threads -- chapter a day and SPOILER -- later today to get them ready and label them for what time many of the regulars have agreed to get going tomorrow (9 a.m. Eastern Time U.S. is a popular consensus). Meanwhile, everyone burning to discuss/dish certain characters can get lively discussions going for anyone else who wants to dive in.

Sounds great to me.  It's the best of both worlds.

  2. Thank you to the lucky ladies on this forum, who have found themselves with a copy, and have not posted spoilers. I am in New Jersey and have many Wal Mart and Sam's within 30 miles of me. I drop off the kids  at school at 8:45, and will go to as many locations as I can before my 1:00 meeting. Otherwise, midnight is only 26 hours away.

  3. I need to vent and I know you ladies will understand.  I, like most of you, preordered my copy of EWY last year, and I want to be happy for those of you who find yourself with a copy early.  But, I am sooo jealous! I feel like my best friend beat me for class president.  Sad that I lost, but happy that it was someone I know.

I have been reading everything that you all have posted, and feel like I know you all.  We are passionate about the same thing.  None of my friends are willing to read these books.  A bunch of us read FSOG, and none of them think anything will top that series.  HAH!!!

Thank you for sharing your insight, theories, laughs and sorrow with me. I look forward to receiving my signed copy in the mail from Barnes and noble and I will cross my fingers that at just past midnight Tuesday, I will have my Kindle copy to read.

  4. 1. Brett will "out" Eva publicly as the muse for "Golden."  Christopher will eat it up, and/or he stages the whole thing (Times Square concert).

    2. Victor will find out about Eva's abuse and confront Monica and Stanton.  It will be a huge fight and Monica will need to seek medical help (Dr. Peterson will send her away for a short time) for her guilt.

    3. Gideon will be "in the clear" from the police due to some error they made or with the help of Victor.

Can't wait to hear more theories and find out if any of us are correct.  Midnight Tuesday won't get here fast enough.

  5. After reading this chapter for the third or fourth time, one scene in particular made me think of "Pretty Woman" with Julia Roberts. Does anyone else think that Gideon, like Julia Roberts' character, has not "kissed" any of is f#&k partners? Gideon says Eva's kisses mean everything to him, and she says his kisses are gifts.  Julia Roberts doesn't kiss the men she's "with" because it makes the act of having sex "too personal" and provides a connection.  Gideon kisses Eva with all he has, especially in this chapter.  It makes me wonder, did he ever kiss anyone else?

  6. These countdown photos are killing me. All the theories making me anxious.  Good thing there are just a few days left until the release. Thankfully, my husband is taking me with him to a convention in Atlantic City on release day and my mother is staying with my kids at home.  I have 3 days of Gideon while sitting by the pool.  Can't wait to come back to this forum on the 7th and see what we all got right, or wrong.

  7. If anyone listens to the audio book, I need a little help clarifying something. Chapter 5, when Eva gets the call from her dad, the narrator says, "my mom had been going through a rough patch with husband number three."  The kindle ebook version says "husband number two."  Which is it? Not sure if it really matters, but it may make a difference latter in the story.

  8. How about this crazy idea...what if Gideon is arrested and put on trial for Nathan's murder early on in EWY.  The book could include the trial and how Gideon is found not guilty (reason of insanity, or self defense, whatever the case may be).  I bring this up because I'm having a hard time believing that if there's no trial and no finding Gideon innocent, Eva and Gideon will always have this hanging over them.  It's been said before, there's no statute of limitations on murder. Gideon could be arrested years later.  Sylvia has said repeatedly that Eva and Gideon will have their happily ever after.  How can they be happy if they're always looking over their shoulder? What are your thoughts?

  9. Yes I totally agree I just love that song...

hey, it is me again.  Another Pink song would be fitting is:  "Just Give Me A Reason"!!

we are not broken but bent

Every time I hear that song I think of Eva and Gideon. Perfect!
