  1. Done, well at least my first tear-through-OMG-rush read, devouring the story. I'm about to go back and start savoring each chapter as well as start listening to the audiobook.

I liked the ending. They don't even know it, but Gideon and Eva are working through the current crisis by doing exactly what Dr. Peterson advised a couple of months ago when they first started couples' counseling. Spending some needed time apart, pulling back on the sex, dating one another. That's what the final scene was. The two of them out on a date.

That's exactly what i thought. The ending just fit so well with everything that was going. They needed to pull back from each other and take it slow. Personally, I think that was the biggest issue with GidEva. How fast everything went for them... There was so much love from both of them that i think they both kind of struggled to keep up with their own relationship as well all the problems being thrown at them.

I felt like this book was more about the development of GidEva's relationship than anything else. How they dealt with problems together instead against each other... in some parts that is. (Mostly Gideon's problems- even if he was stubborn) The other three books to me were more about GidEva dealing with Eva's issues, as well as dealing with all the crap threatening their relationship. In CBY i loved how Sylvia showed Gideon and Eva's relationship, how they worked as a couple, like them both having a good time together with both their friends, and spending quality time together etc. -  and their biggest flaws when they're together. I mean, they still have issues they need to sort through. And I understand Gideon a lot more now because of his POV. Although it hurt so badly seeing Gideon weak, hurting and even lost at some points, i was glad to see that side to him. He's finally cracking after all those years of bottling everything up.

  2. I had a really hard time getting into Gideon's POV. I missed Eva lol.

Yes Same here! I'm so use to seeing things from Eva's pov its going to take some time to to adjust to Gideon's pov. But it was nice reading from his point of view. I've always wondered what Gideon's up to when he's away from Eva and does he actually 'hang-out; with friends. I guess he actually does lol

  3. Hey everyone, I joined last december but never really joined discussion so i guess i can say i'm new here :) I, too, was quite confused by the snippet but after re-reading it over and over again i think i might understand it. I'm guessing it's tear as in rip apart. Judging by what Eva says 'why don't you get that i'm not going anywhere' i think giedon is probaby truly testing how much Eva can handle his 'dark past' or himself etc. SInce they're married now, i sense from that snippet that maybe gideon is starting to feel guilty that he's making Eva go through a of a lot and trying to prove to her that she won't be able to handle whatever skeleton is left to unfold. And Eva's just trying to prove to Gideon that she can handle it and she wants to be there for him, 'So you're going to tear at me to hold on' hmmm... maybe Gideon's probabaly loosing it, snapping unnecessarily or i don't know something along those lines, maybe the past is catching up and the only way he can 'hold on' is let the frustration out but he fears that letting the frustration out is going to make Eva run?

Haha i'm just rambling on right now, but the snippet really gave me a lot to think about. I cannot wait for CBY and i really don't mind how long we have to wait. I just like having something to look forward to instead of having nothing to look forward to when the series is over :( meanwhile I'm keeping myself occuppied by re-reading the books and seeing if i've missed anything important.

Anyway, i hope everyone is having or have had a nice day :)
