  1. Here's a theory from left field that may be completely wrong. It says in the book that Gideon's father killed himself but it doesn't say how. Then it was mentioned by Gideon that someone in the Russian mob was looking out for him. Aka Nathan's bracelet on a dead mobster. What if that person is Gideon's father? Think about it, his father commits suicide but it's not mentioned how, nor was it mentioned about his going to a funeral, or his mother. It could be possible that he faked his death, changed his identity while keeping tabs on Gideon through the media and other sources. Like I said, I am probably 100% wrong in this case! but it's been eating at me for a while.

  2. It was brought up in another forum I've been to that the person was curious as to whether or not the doctoral candidate that abused Gideon was the therapist Eva had out in California. Think about it, most of the time therapists have only PhDs and are psychologists, where as shrinks are psychiatrists with medical degrees. More than likely though, I am WAY off. Usually are in these posts.

  3. Jo- I, too at one point thought that Ireland was actually his daughter, but that opinion was ruthlessly loathed by a lot of people in another forum I went to regarding these books. It was in the other forum where someone brought up an interesting point. They thought that the Doctoral candidate that came to see Gideon was the therapist Eva's dad sent her to in California. Psychologists, can be doctors, just not MDs, they can be PhDs though. Psychiatrists are the MDs. Just some thoughts to chew on, but, more than likely, I am wrong again. Sorry if there are any typos or if this doesn't make any sense, it's very early in the morning where I am.

  4. Teresa, that is a great book. It's actually one of five. There is a trilogy before that one that introduces some of the characters such as Ian and Kira and what they did before hand. Those books in order are: dangerous games, hidden agendas, and killer secrets. Stop reading wild card, and read those three first, they are just as good and just as hot. You'll enjoy them!

  5. In the first book the cuff links are significant because when she first meets Gideon, he is in a three piece suit, and she notices the cuff links that he wears which makes her think how rich he must be, and the second book cover, it's not dog tags, it's a key fob, with his initials on it, and remember, she went to a store at one time to run an errand in reflected in you, but it didn't say what it was, and then later, she gives him back the key to her apartment. I don't know much about that UK covers, but that's what I am getting from the US covers.
