I am praying that I'm able to download my pre-order on my iPad. I'll be in Italy on the 4th, on vacation. I will have my husband bring the book copy that I also pre-ordered when he meets up with me in Rome on the 7th. I will have to stay off this website if I can't download the book. Oh, the stress is killing me.

Not with this particular reporter, Deanna, no. Seems like this reporter is jealous of women who actually get anywhere with Gideon instead of getting f***** and then forgotten, like she had.

 

Even though Gideon (in this woman's warped mind) simply used Eva, Eva managed to get a piece of Gideon that Deanna never did.  Deanna probably believes Gideon was incredibly sexually hot for Eva (which he was -- still is.) Gideon actually took Eva out in public, something he'd never done with women like Deanna. Too, judging by the photos online, Eva lasted several weeks. Deanna probably lasted, at best, a couple of nights. Maybe only one.

 

So this Deanna is probably sexually jealous of Eva and even more jealous of Corrine, firmly convinced that Corrine is the one who will get the grand prize: Mrs. Gideon Cross.

 

I think Dr. Lucas started stirring things up the night he saw Gideon with Corrine at the fundraiser -- and once Gideon and Corrine "got back together" switched things into high gear, choosing Deanna as his (Lucas') weapon to destroy Gideon and Corrine, like Lucas tried to destroy Gideon and Eva.

 

Oh if the evil doctor only knew the truth .............

How do you think Dr.L picked up on the fact that Deanna slept w/Gideon?

Maybe Christopher Jr is behind it he surely knows about what happened at the concert by now...Deanna may even be sleeping with him...

Throwing out some theories on stuff Deanna Johnson says:

 

Some of her words: "I can keep your name out of it, Eva. I won’t use anything that identifies you. This is your chance to get a bit of your own back .... His money doesn’t give him the right to do whatever the ###### he wants ... pretty soon you’re going to figure out that Gideon Cross was using you to get Corinne Giroux jealous enough to come back to him .... That man has a dark side.â€

 

My theories:

• This reporter is working on a story about Gideon's own dark past, not Eva's.
• I think Dr. Terry Lucas is her source, and she's vowed to protect him as an unnamed source.
• As for dark past, the story may be about Gideon's mental instability as a boy/young teen-ager.
• Lucas' motive: Gideon got back the woman he's wanted to marry for years, and Lucas wants to destroy Gideon's shot at marrying Corrine. Lucas wants revenge for Gideon having ruthlessly damaged Lucas' own marriage by sexually using Lucas' wife, Anne.
• Based on what Lucas (and a huge society crowd) witnessed the night Corrine crashed that event, Lucas probably figures Eva immediately went onto the reject pile that very night.
• Lucas was the one who tipped off Johnson that Eva would want to get even too.

 

Additional:

• I definitely think Eva's gut instinct is right here -- Gideon f****** Johnson and then rejected her.
• Eva really has kept her head in the sand for weeks now. The media is running rampant with the news Gideon won back the girl who had gotten away all those years ago.
• Corrine is probably encouraging those rumors, knowing full well that Gideon won't bother trying to correct any wild speculation or even lies. Just like Corrine manipulated Eva, Corrine is now manipulating reporters.
• When Brett gave that interview four days earlier (four days prior to the start of Entwined) he actually identified Eva by name. That's how Johnson knows about him and Eva. This explains, too, why Gideon was so freaked out he took the dangerous risk of approaching Eva on Monday -- he had to beg her to wait, knowing Brett was coming back to New York later that week.
• Eva's Dad is right - reporters can get all sorts of info, even info buried deeply into confidential records. There are NO laws in the United States that forbid publishing the names of sexual assault victims and/or juvenile victims. Some tabloids are unscrupulous enough to do it, even though the mainstream media voluntarily -- voluntarily -- does not publish sex assault victims' names unless the victims actually want their names used and specifically ask the news organizations to do it. Trust me on this one as a former reporter who's also had formal education about media laws in the United States.

I think she has been watching the relationship for a while and the way Eva was with Gideon and how he acted differently with her, she could also be the reporter that was putting a lot of the pictures on the web and the articles if she is freelance, she could be a stalker of Gideon.............

I forgot to mention this, I was on FB and saw a post it said it was an exclusive from SD, and in the snippet Cary was Getting out of the shower to his ringing phone, he smiled at the name and answered, the voice on the other end said can we meet to come up with a plan, Cary then says You mean something that's going to get your BROTHER and my best Friend back together and Ireland says yes..! Not sure how true it was but I meant to mention it. I'm going to see if I can find it again.!

That may explain that whole Vidal Records-Times Square deal. But is it really such a good idea? Even though Cary and Ireland don't know about Gid's involvement.

I hate to bring up the 'C' word-does anyone think Corinne has anything to do with this reporter coming around-I don't know-like they're in cahoots with each other? (Did I just say 'cahoots'?!?!)

I think it would be pretty difficult for her to get that story. Because it happened when she was underage.

But what is it that she thinks she could tell Eva about Gideon being Dark? I'm sure at this point there is nothing ANYONE can say that would make Eva turn away from him.!

 

But she would help as far as leaking the Brett story to help Eva and Gideon to their advantage.!

 

 I'm hoping she doesn't find out about the Nathan story she would probably blackmail Gideon and it could her clothes in Snapshot 13..

Well, well, I just presumed he was speaking of the doctoral candidate. Now you've got my mind going in another direction.

i haven't seen this discussed, yet (maybe i overlooked - apologies if that is the case), but i'm of the mind that gideon's prefernce for brunettes is not because of corinne, but because of his mother.  i'm sure freud would agree?  she denied him what he needed from a mother, and he's subconsciously seeking it from her in his affairs. 

 

it's also crossed my mind that eva was right in the begining, that his mother did love him "too much", and that ireland might possibly be his daughter.  the math with the ages, and his statements thus far, do not support that theory, but he's been so cryptic it's hard to say anything is impossible. 

 

the truth is that eva draws conclusions based on the crumbs of information gideon and others offer, and she's not always right.  i think that elizabeth's responce to eva's accusations seemed earnest, as through eva was way off base.  similarly with the doctor.  "you're wrong" and "you're clueless" are not how a person would react when faced with truth, especially when eva would have had the possibility to be informed by gideon, himself.  if she were right they would have responded with questions about why gideon told her, or why she was bringing it up, or attempts at defending themselves, or walking away. 

 

gideon said his mom didn't believe him, but not about the abuse, per se.  elizabeth said she had him examined by 2 different doctors and found nothing, and that christopher was there as well, but is it possible that she was assuming eva to be speaking of another instance altogether?  perhaps those 2 doctors she speaks of are the ones that came to the house?  gideon never specifies who abused him, or even if it was that doctoral candidate that many assume, just that it was a "him".  the "him"s available in his life (that we know of) would include the doctoral candidate, christopher, vidal, and angus.

 

i'm rambling, but my point is that we are getting this story from eva's pov, so we only have access to her truth.  i'm wary to accept anything she thinks or assumes, when she is obviously not well informed.

On page 320 of RIY you'll find that Gideon is telling Eva about the person who abused him at that point in his life. The mom was pregnant w/Ireland and it was a difficult pregnancy, so the psychiatrist was spending most of the time with his mother. He says he was left alone with the doctoral candidate more and more frequently.

Also, when they are in N.Car. he tells Eva that the mom didn't believe him and Eva asks, "You told her what happened to you? You told her and she didn't believe you?" Page197

Hope that helps a little bit.

I think more guys should read these books and see how the men 'take care' of their women....

WOW! LN I didn't even think about how his answering his phone @ the station would appear. Now I definitely think they're being set up. Why wouldn't the police tell Gideon and the Stantons they were dropping the case?

mrsm-now that I'm thinking about this, I don't think the second time Nathan was there it was to see Gideon. I'm going with Eva. Everyone seems to go to

lunch at the ad agency at 12:00. He probably couldn't get in and she wasn't there, plus she was with Megumi-the receptionist. Later that night she asks Gideon to review the tapes from outside the building because something frightened her mom. I think when Gideon does he sees it was Nathan and the wheels start turning-maybe he starts to formulate a plan. I don't know-so much surmising-so little time-wait-we've got a lot of time! Until June 4th!!!!!
