  1. Hi Everyone,

I have been not been around for a while, patiently waiting for the release of Captivated By You. Like many of you I am not sure how I feel. I have to say that usually I put the book down with a strong sense of the charAchters and where they are in the story.

I feel there was enormous growth in Gideon but there just seemed to be more added to the story, we don't really have any closure with any of the villains as of yet. Book five seems like it is going to have a massive climax with many differnt people and while Gedeon and Eva are only building their relationship again it is a bit scary.

  2. Hey ladies

From what I have read in reviews the intention was for these to be short and really make up one final book when put together.

I liked the story, loved how feisty Gia was.

I think in the past Jax also loved Gia but didn't fully realise she felt the same (hence the photos). He broke up with her to both protect himself from heartbreak and her from the secrets of his family. He is scared if he is in love the same fate that happened to his mother who married his dad for love would happen to them or her?

Just my thoughts, am probably completely wrong :)

  3. Hi Ladies,

Have you ladies ever read a book (or series of books) and found the storyline so compelling that any other book which might have a similar format doesn't quite measure up?  Basically I am asking; once you ladies read a great book(s), do you ever find yourselves comparing said book to the one(s) you absolutely love?  What does everyone think?

    Hi GiGi

Yes I do compare. Especially if I am left feeling deflated at the end or there is an aspect of the story that I think if not included/went in a different direction could have made for a much stronger storyline. Then I think back to stories that I love and know it is in a different league.

At present I have only found a few authors that match up to the fluid and thoughtful style of SD. Some come close, but aspects of their story make me turn away. I like drama in a romance, but at times there is only so much a couple can take or a person can forgive.

I am finding as the genre has become really popular there are some book sellers promoting books as being rated no1 or better than... And then when I read them I can see there is a very big difference between them and the ones I love.

    I hope this makes sense.

  4. Hi Everyone,

Another forum member suggested these books so I thought that I might add them here:

    • Sylvain Reynard:  Gabriel Series
    • Gabriel’s Inferno
    • Gabriel’s Rapture
    • Gabriel’s Redemption

    Hi GiGi

I just finished the first two books from the Gabriel Series last night. Really enjoyed the story. The third is not out yet and there is no date announced.

I havn't read or watched the movie of the twilight series, but I have read that this series also came about via fan fiction like FSOG.

  5. I have been reading this forum for the past few months and have loved everyone's comments and thoughts, but this is my first time posting myself. I really love SD's historical books and of course the crossfire series.

    I read books so quickly that I have had to look around for my romance fix and have found the following contemporary romance/erotic novels to be pretty good and keep me entertained;

This Man (trilogy and all released) Jodi Ellen Malpas

Blackstone Affair (trilogy and all released) Raine Miller

Knight and play/stay ( two books both released) Kitty French

Stark Trilogy ( 2 released final out on 30 July) J Kenner

I love the writing of SD and can see the differences between a great writer like Sylvia and the thoughtful stories she writes compared to some of the other books out there.

Hope you are all well and cannot wait for my next Eva and Gideon fix
