  1. Hey girl, don't judge the book by the cover lol....

Check it out the books, they are really good. Before that, check the order of the books tho, because all of them are series and if you read without the order, it goes a little confusing because you end up knowing the end of another book. So the series that I read and just love it are the Elite Ops series: order of the books are Wild Card, Maverick, heat seeker, black jack, renegade and live wire. Also, the temping seals series and all of them pretty much you can find at the iBook store if you have an iPad...check them out...

Darn, just checked it out at Goodreads and the cover is a letdown. But it says it is Book Two of the Tempting Seals series?

  2. Thanks for telling me, but I have read all of it. Wild Card it's the first one of the Elite Ops series. You are totally right, it has the Navy Seals Series that is the story of Reno, Ian and all the others. Have you read the Callahan's Series? There will be 4 books, 3 is out already, the first one is Midnight Sins, then Deadly Sins, then Secret Sins and the last one that will come out is Ultimate Sins, just don't have a release date yet for that one. Those books are amazing....thanks again

Teresa, that is a great book. It's actually one of five. There is a trilogy before that one that introduces some of the characters such as Ian and Kira and what they did before hand. Those books in order are: dangerous games, hidden agendas, and killer secrets. Stop reading wild card, and read those three first, they are just as good and just as hot. You'll enjoy them!

  3. I think it make lots of sense. Has a part on the book that Angus tells Eva that Gideon have a lot in his mind. So I do think that Angus knows about Nathan, and knows that Gideon is planning something, maybe knows about killing, but kept the distance because Gideon asked for and he respect Gideon.

Oh my, can't wait for EWY....

I like your Angus theory that he may have been the only person under the Vidal roof who believed Gideon, thus earning Gideon's absolute trust. This makes sense that Gideon kept him in his life even after he became independent of his family. And remember, Angus isn't simply Gideon's chief driver - he's also Gideon's bodyguard.

As soon as Nathan showed up in the background, Gideon quietly started having Eva protected without her knowledge, especially by Angus. I'm sure at some point Gideon confided in Angus about Nathan, maybe as soon as Gideon learned Nathan had come to New York. Almost certainly once Gideon found out Nathan had beaten Cary half to death (and so Gideon now knew Eva's life was in danger.)

If there was anyone Gideon could trust, it would be Angus, and I think with the stakes so high, he would have told Angus the truth.

  4. Have you thought about reading other things? That's what I am doing....check it out Wild Card by Lora Leigh, it's pretty good....

    Hi everyone,

I agree with LN Cronan. June 4, 2013 should the firm release date. I checked with Amazon, Barnes & Noble, etc. and they have that date listed as the release date. Now all I have to do is figure out what I am going to do with myself until then. Thus far, I have made a huge batch of Greek Stuffed Peppers and am working on Russian Tea Cookies. Now if I can prevent myself from eating all this food, I hopefully won't gain 100 pounds and will be able to dash right out and get my latest copy of the next book! :)

  5. I totally agree with you. I think Angus had no idea what happen to Gideon until Gideon told his mother, the I think Angus was the only one that believed Gideon and with that go the most absolute trust from Gideon. I don't believe Angus had anything to do with Nathan... Gideon wouldn't want to involve anyone.

    Hi everyone,

I have been thinking about the points that you all have been making and most of them make sense. The one thing I struggle with is the theory that Angus knew Gideon was being sexually abused. Somehow I don't buy that. Just think about it for a minute, could you as a human being, sit back and watch a child be repeatedly raped. My respect for Angus would go straight into the toilet. Now I could potentially buy that scenario if Gideon confessed the abuse to Angus and the "unknown abuser" wound up underneath the Bentley's front tires.....you know something along the line of .."I am so sorry I ran over the therapist/Grad Student/Psychologist.....(the yet to be named abuser) Mrs. Vidal. I really have to get the brakes checked. I have no idea how they possibly could have failed...(wink, wink)." But Sylvia did not play the story out that way. I guess we will have to wait and see.

I also don't think, as strange as it may seem, that Gideon would involve Angus. Seeing as that Angus is the family chauffeur, his car would be well known and recognizable and as such Angus couldn't just come and go as he pleased. He too, would have to have an alibi. This entire scenario rests upon the fact that Angus, was parked directly out in front of the Kingman Vodka Party, would have have been seen by the other Chauffeurs and wouldn't have any unaccounted mileage on the limo. If Gideon had requested Angus's services then Angus would have to account for the mileage on the speedometer and his absence from being out front of the party scene. If Gideon did this...if...he would have done it alone. If he got help it wouldn't have been cut and dry. Nothing ever is in these books. Way to go Sylvia! What does everyone else think?

  6. I think that because of the abuse he suffered, he became a control "freak" and the way he sees Eva or anyone else will be as a submissive, so I think he just wants clear it out that he is in charge and Eva will end up doing whatever he wants, and if we pay attention well, she kind of is a submissive, she fights back, but ends up doing what he wants....just my humble opinion.

Was re reading and came across that part of the book (Bared to You) when Gideon brought Eva back to his apartment from the party at his parents' house. Where he said "I finally get what is holding us back" and he said that Eva just has to accept the fact that she is submissive and accept his control. WHAT was THAT all about? I don't see where that was coming from at all, anyone care to elaborate on this?

  7. I think that Gideon had total control and was capable of a single stab in the heart. He already had punch Nathan in his office (the blood in his shirt) and he could risk do anything else because of the timeline and he could risk leave behind anything that could be traced back to him.

  8. I don't think Monica and victor will have an affair or anything like it. When they meet at Eva's apartment, you can tell that they care about each other and might even love still, but both of them are comfortable with their places in life and might be happy. Stanton is good for Monica and cares for her and Eva, and victor was starting to date someone....maybe they will talk about all the things from the past and even confess each other their love, but I think will be just that. Also, I don't think victor will know about the rape, I think the father-daughter relationship is too good to be broke, victor will be very hurt to know that Eva didn't trust him..

    Just my thoughts.

  9. Gigi, I don't think the videos Nayhan made of Eva is from the rape. I think that throughout the years, Nathan followed Eva and got videos of her during her bad time, before she started therapy. Eva says that she had a time that she was really behaving really bad, so I think that was it and then Nathan always followed her.

    Just a thought

  10. Wow....it feels like I just read the whole book again..lol...

tells him not when he doesn't talk to her.

    - Gideon has Raul and Angus ride together so he can drive with Eva and talk. They talk about his abuse and Eva tells him she is going to marry him. He tries to explain why they are apart. Says that he had an opportunity and took it and this time apart is the price that needs to be paid. Tells her his silence is the lesser of two evils. Feels like whether he explains or not he'll drive her away. But explaining carries the greatest risk. He is obviously referring to killing Nathan. This makes me believe in the end

that when he is on his knees before Eva he is really not sure what her reaction is going to be to the fact that he killed Nathan.

    - Gideon tells a stunned Eva in the car that he loves her, not once but twice.

    - This is where he tells her the night she had the nightmare and he had just gotten back to her place after cleaning out his " Pad" at the hotel.

    - Eva picks up sparkling apple cider on the way home and her and Cary have an action movie marathon while eating pizza with chopsticks and Chinese food with their fingers.

    Wednesday:

    -Eva goes to Krav Maga.

    - Detective Graves sees her there and tells Eva her theory.

-Admits that Gideon was in the police station when Eva called that Saturday and broke up with him.

    - Eva goes to Gideon's and waits for him and then tells him Detective Graves says they are dropping the case.

    The End.

  11. I think Nathan hated it Eva since childhood. She was the daughter of the stepmom, or she had a mother and Nathan didn't, or Nathan's father wasn't around much and when he was gave Eva and her mother more attention. So, I think the jealousy became hate, and then it lead to the abuse. Of course that that doesn't make Nathan less sick than he is, but it could be reasons for the hate. Then, Eva told her mother what was going on, Nathan lost the father that he didn't have, so he needed to blame someone, and Eva was the one to blame, so he followed her, got pic and videos of her misbehaving and use to blackmail her mother, but he was going to hate Eva either way, his father was happy when he died, so he didn't care much about Nathan. I do believe that he did have pic, and trash of Eva in this apt and was planning to hurt her more.

I wondered about that myself & I wondered about the possibility that maybe Gideon/Staton staged Nathan's room with all the photos, schedule, garbage, etc. with the intent to paint Nathan out to be more than just a violent sexual predator who made attempts to blackmail rich people. Not that I am justifying people's behaviors, but someone can be a violent sexual predator, a total parasite of society but that doesn't mean they would necessarily kill someone.

I should add that I’m sooo glad that Nathan’s DEAD! I just don’t want to see Gideon going to prison for it in the next book or any other book for that matter.

  12. I think Monica knows about the break up and just keep to herself. Cary could have talked to her before her arrival and ask her to no say anything?

I just think it’s weird that Eva and Monica don' t once have a conversation about her current status with Gideon. She had or has to know that they aren't together when they have spa day at Eva's house. Cary tells Eva that a new hair cut isn't a good decision to make after a breakup.

  13. You are so right about that. Monica seems the kind of mother that would want to know why they are not together anymore, but then again, Eva doesn't give an opportunity for Monica or Cary to say much, and I think they respected her choice of not talking about, specially on the spa day, since Eva was getting relaxed and having fun. Also, maybe Monica thought that Nathan was back because of Gideon, and maybe she blamed him of Nathan return, and was glad that they were broken up.

Did anyone notice that Monica never once discuss with Eva how she was feeling now that Eva and Gideon were no longer together or communicating once they were at Eva's apartment for the spa day?

Monica never missed an opportunity to talk to Eva about Gideon or how to handle herself with a man like Gideon, and then all of a sudden, silence from Monica.

I wonder if Monica knew or had an idea about what Gideon was up to and was biting her tongue not to say anything to Eva, since it looks like his plan was working?
