  1. Been away for awhile an just getting back to catching up with everything. Seems we all pretty much love the same books. I am in love with the Gabriel series. May I add a couple to the list

Billionaire Bachelor Series - Melody Ann (There are 7 books in the series follows two families and how each child ends up married)

Across Eternity - Aris Whittier I borrowed this book from a friend and after reading it I bought it so I could have it in my library. Make sure you have tissues for the end.

Looking forward to reading some of the suggested books. Thanks GiGi for compiling the list.

  2. this is something I have been thinking about, sorry if its been discussed before.

In light of Eva finding out that she has been bugged and tracked by Clancy what happened the night she went to the apartment after her talk with Graves.

Gideon admitted that he moved into the apartment next door so that he could get to her quickly if need be. Therefore he would be spending more time there than at the penthouse. Clancy told her he turned off the receiver after confirmation that Nathan was dead.

So my question is this, how did Gideon know to go to the penthouse that night when he found her sitting on the floor because she didn't have a key? How long do you think she would have waited? Did Clancy call him and tell him she was there?

  3. OK-so now I'm in a what if mode.

What if Angus got worried about Gid doing the deed (getting caught) and sought help from Clancy to point police in another direction?

    Come on Book 4!!!

I am not sure if they had anything to do with this. Remember that Gideon said that he was given a get out of jail card and then again said that Raul was back looking into the situation because e wanted to know more before someone came to him for a favor to repay what they did. Does it make any sense then that Angus or Clancy to be the ones involved?

  4. Hi Gigi

I'm going the route of something different for their vows for the second time. The first time was intimate, just for them (and Angus).

They will probably have a big bash if Monica has anything to do with it, but I preferred the first time. Just them. So much more romantic. :)

Been away for awhile so sorry f this sounds repetitive. I think that they will do the traditional society wedding hat everyone expects and that the ceremony on the beach will stay private. They already vowed to each other their most intimate thoughts and they will stay secret. This second wedding is to appease Monica (to plan the wedding she thinks Eva wants) and Victor (the chancw to give away his only daughter)

  5. I think Eva feels bad for Brett and the way she has led him on and yes she needs to nip it in the butt herself and hopefully in SD she can do that with Cary being there, I don't think she should see him alone.  Maybe Gideon will put security detail on her again to keep her safe.

I think the Tableau One was so Gideon knew where they were and that Arnaldo would look out for her in case she needed him and I did not get the impression in the book that Gideon was angry she was going to dinner with Brett and was pleased she picked somewhere he owned to be closer to him and to give him the respect of knowing where she was.

If I remember correctly wasn't Gideon going to take Ireland to dinner also that night until he had to go take care of why Corrine kept calling everyone and heir uncle looking for Gideon.

  6. Excellent point -- I think the best way many of us want to savor the story is nice and slow. Kinda like Gideon makes love to Eva, a nice pace instead of "wham, bam, thank you mam."

But I'm wondering whether certain specialty threads might make sense for people who want to focus on a particular larger subject right away. Mainly to separate topics that cover multiple chapters (like the exes) from the chapter by chapter stuff. Make things easier for people who do want to jump ahead to particular characters versus people who want going over everything with a fine tooth comb.

I figure people will be starting their own threads too, like they have all along -- and which is GREAT, by the way. That's one of the beauties of this site, the ability of each person to start a thread, rather than it being run by moderators.

How about this -- those of us who want to do a chapter a day work together to create a thread for that. I think a second master thread clearly marked SPOILER in all-caps should be started too, to give fair warning to anyone checking it out that they might stumble across all the shockers right on up to the end of the story. So folks who really want to avoid spoilers for the time being can steer clear of that one until they're ready.

Maybe those two threads, then leave it up to individuals who might want to set up individual thread to focus on very specific things, like the murder case, how things unfold with characters like Corrine and Brett, etc ....

If this works, I'll create the two main threads -- chapter a day and SPOILER -- later today to get them ready and label them for what time many of the regulars have agreed to get going tomorrow (9 a.m. Eastern Time U.S. is a popular consensus). Meanwhile, everyone burning to discuss/dish certain characters can get lively discussions going for anyone else who wants to dive in.

I like this plan won't be able to get back on until Noon so I am sure I will have a lot of reading to do to catch up from 9AM Looking forward to it since it is a dreary day here

  7. OK, now I know for sure you want to kill me.

I've been staring at this pic for 10 minutes now and my breathing hasn't steadied yet.

Bring them on, pleeease, 'cause it feels so good!!!!

OMG! I am reading on my tablet and scroll down to each post. So as I scroll down I start with the eyes and work my way to the whole picture. Good Morning to me.....

  8. I really enjoyed looking back at the chapter snapshots and then reading the chapters !  They were spot-on!  and all I can say is Chapter 19 :)

Friday will be a free-for-all with the comments and new theories, reading will be full time job !

    See on Friday :)

I agree with the snapshots, I looked at each snapshot before I read the chapter. Friday cant get here fast enough

  9. What if it's them going out in public for the first time. Maybe another event/fundraiser....Maybe the final scene is them getting ready to step out of the limo, and Gideon says 'Ready Angel?' Eva replies...'Ready Ace'...and they step out to all the flashes from photogs :) They're out! Together! ....Sigh...just my thougths :)

    I like this scenario

  10. I'm going to amuse myself by going back and seeing how many, if any, theories I actually got right. Or even half right.

I'll bet most of mine were wrong. Sylvia's far too clever of a writer. Especially during the dark parts of Reflected, we thought we knew where the story was going and -- bam!

The only thing I know I'd gotten right, back this past winter when I first joined the forum, was the certainty Gideon killed Nathan.

I'll probably have to eat crow, though, on some of my other biggest theories.

I really hope I get an answer to the "brunette" thing, though. We know that prior to Eva, the rule when it came to dating Gideon was "brunettes only need apply." Did the same rule apply (pun intended) to the f*** pad.

LN just look at this as a "revisit and revise" moment.

Your insight into these theories has made the many re-reads so much more intense. Thank you for all of this, enjoy reading all of this since I don't have much time to participate By the time I get on and catch up everyone is way past me and have already expressed my thoughts.

  11. I also think he saw his dad die or found his body. I also wonder if he was murdered, because of his Ponzi scam, as opposed to suicide. Killed by an investor who lost a lot of money.

I still think that CV Sr. had something to do with Gideon's dad before is death. How else would his mom connect with CV so soon after his dad's death. Was he a silent partner who exposed the scheme?

  12. That phone call to Gideon has me in tears every time I read it. I can't even imagine Gideon in that police station having to hear that, and keep himself together. I can't imagine after hearing Eva's voice and her thought to why he was moving on, he had to feel like absolute sh*t about everything. He had to know in that moment that he had "broken" her.

    [/quote

Every time I read this passage I visualize a split screen with the two of them on the phone and seeing the pained expressions on their faces. The look on his face knowing that he can't say anything and she just pouring her heart out to him. Makes me cry.

  13. “Good evening, Miss Tramell.†The doorman accompanied the greeting with a tap of his fingers to the brim of his hat and waited patiently while I swiped my debit card. When I’d finished paying, I accepted his help out of the back of the cab and felt his gaze slide discreetly over my tearstained face.

Smiling as if everything were okay in my world, I rushed into the lobby and headed straight for the elevator, with a brief wave at the front desk staff.

    “Eva!â€

Turning my head, I discovered a svelte brunette in a stylish skirt-and-blouse ensemble rising to her feet in the lobby seating area. Her dark hair fell in thick waves around her shoulders, and her smile graced full lips that were a glossy pink. I frowned, not recognizing her.

“Yes?†I replied, suddenly wary. There was an avid gleam in her dark eyes that got my back up. Despite how battered I felt and probably looked, I squared my shoulders and faced her directly.

“Deanna Johnson,†she said, thrusting out a well-manicured hand. “Freelance reporter

I have a question, I was wondering why the doorman didn't warn Eva that the reporter was waiting for her.. if you remember the security was tight on the building, the reason she was living there. Why would the desk staff allow her to loiter in the lobby not knowing when Eva would be home.
