  1. One thing that has always gnawed at me. Gideon sent Eva a note card or as Eva read it, a dear Jane card, stating, "thank you, Eva. For everything" yours , G. With her apartment keys. A brush off as I read it, so did she.

In the next chapter, when they were talking, he kept saying they never broke up for those four days. Why did he phrase that card so badly?

I've though about this after re-reading this over and over. Considering the fact that he put a key to his place on her key ring, I believe in his mind he was sincerely thanking her for coming into his life. His mistake was to not see how it would have been perceived by Eva and not having any contact with her until the party at his parents. I came to this conclusion when he mentioned to her that he had a key made to her place and told her about the key to his. Seriously, how often do you look at the keys on your key ring?

  2. Here is a funny scenario, the case is dropped. Graves knows who the real killer and since she cant do anything about it, she resigns from the force. She then moves to California and hooks up with Victor and finally gets to go to Disneyland (where she has wanted to go since she was a kid) Everyone gets their HEA.

    Just something to laugh about

It doesn't have to be graves badge.

We're chapter 14 now with the snap shots.

Could it be possible for Victor to be promoted to detective and transferred to New York to be near Eva ?

  3. GiGi, I was responding to LN's post #1471. I guess her quote didn't copy to my comment. If there was some sort of non verbal sign between Angus and Gideon to get Eva away from the fight.

    Hi Rcmcap,

I am sorry I don't understand.  Could you please explain further?  It would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks. :)

  4. However Gideon conveyed to Angus to get Eva the h*** out of there immediately, Eva she didn't notice whatever Gideon did, verbally or non-verbally, to convey the order. But I don't think Angus would have decided on his own to leave then and there, not with Gideon in the middle of a serious physical fight with some guy who was a match for him. Angus was not just Gideon's driver - he was an armed bodyguard too. I believe he had to have been ordered by Gideon to leave.

When Eva refused to get into the car voluntarily, Angus turned to Arnoldo for help. Arnoldo bodily picked up Eva and put her into the limo.

That would explain the comment that Angus made about Gideon knowing when to stop. Angus was so in tuned to Gideon after all of these year's so he would more than recognize any look that Gideon would have made.

  5. I can only imagine how shocked Eva must have felt when she realized that Gideon had taken her to his 'f*** pad outfitted with everything he'd need to have a good time with the women that served that purpose in his life.'!!!!

It's a pity she left the room so hurriedly.... she could have said one thing or two to Gedeon. At least, I would.

I still don't understand what happened that night. At one moment he is creating a photo op giving her a passionate kiss for the paparazzi then later in the evening when he found her in the restaurant after she ran he said they had to leave because he couldn't be seen out. That's when they went to his place.. what was he afraid

    of?

  6. KiMa, I agree with you. I am doing double duty. I am reading my chapter a day but like everyone can't put it down so reading through. Reading RIY now looking for new clues from our discussions from BIY. Each time I read find new revelations

Waiting for June 4, oh well so much for an Anniversary celebration. Hubby will have to wait till I'm done.

So many questions I am left with indeed. The more I read over both books, the more questions I am left with.

  7. Ok, I have to ask a stupid question. I have read RIY too many times to count and am I missing clues to G meeting with his security team the Tuesday after they returned from NC? I know that we know he did not go to his apt with the Dr. that might. Can anyone help me out.

I like your theory. It helps explain a lot!

  8. OK, informal poll here --- what's the best time for me to post a daily "Reader's Guide" to the chapter we're reading each day.

Should I post the guide for each chapter the same day we're all reading it -- (i.e. today is Chapter Two, so I post the Chapter Two guide today)?

    OR

Should I wait until the day after? Post Chapter Two tomorrow, after we hopefully have all finished reading and have already moved onto Chapter Three?

If you want an example of what I'm talking about, go to page three of this discussion thread. That's where I posted the Chapter One guide yesterday. I did it around this time of the day. Was it OK to post it then, even though some people might be still re-reading? or should I have waited until today to post yesterday's "cheat sheet" of sorts.

    I vote for day after

  9. Hi - Sylvia recently posted that we must read RIY very carefully before reading EWY. Which of course means there are so many clues and scenes we must remember to make sense in EWY. (which just lends to how smart and clever Sylvia is..seriously, sooo smart)

anyways, Ive read the book several times and plan on reading it again right before June 4th, however, it would be helpful if anyone out there had an outline of events, going by day....does anyone have this? I am such a loser, but I want to print it out and have it as a companion guide when Im reading.Just to get all the events straight in my head.

    PS

I am WAY too into this!

I would be interested in a timeline also. I am reading them on my reader which makes it hard sometimes to go back to check things out.

Question is the person who is on the audio good? I sometimes have a hard time with the voice because it sounds so phony

I am re reading again, so don't worry about being too into it..

  10. LN Cronan

That's why I'm almost certain that Gideon had controlling interest in the record company, so at some point in the future, when Ireland is out of the house, he will pull the plug. He owes them nothing.

I'm still convinced Chris Vidal Snr was an investor in the Ponzi scheme though.

Thinking along those lines, did you ever wonder how Elizabeth ended up with Vidal? Wonder if maybe Vidal was a silent partner in the scheme and they were already secretly together.....

  11. Hi everyone,

Is it just me or has anyone ever had the experience that they read the book, but then when they go back to reread the book, they completely miss something? I can't tell you the number of times I have read something, then I have to go back into the book to get a reference and then I reread the passage and I find that I missed some extra detail from that passage in the book.

Sometimes I gobble up the book in one bite instead of savouring it. :) What does everyone think? Does anyone do that too? :)

I totally understand. I read both books twice before joining this group and because everything I am reading here I have re read them

a few more times to see what I missed.

  12. Aside from the fact I'm a bit of a fan (who, me?) I'm actually a natural speed reader. With novels, I usually read at a rate of 75 pages an hour. Entwined is supposed to be somewhere in the neighborhood of 330 pages (same length as Bared and Reflected.) So it'd take me less than five hours.

I read Bared in chunks of around an hour and a half each spread over several evenings. I read Reflected cover to cover on a Sunday afternoon.

Can't wait for June 4th but not so sure what my husband will think when I spend my Anniversary spending the day with Gideon and not him. Oh well after 37 year's he'll get over it. Plan on reading BIY and RIY the weekend before the release

  13. Hi!  Here's a question from BARED TO YOU, chapter nine.

When Eva suggested to Gideon that they go "someplace close" after their gym  workout to have sex and he said there is a hotel

    near by, his fxxx pad,

where do you think he would have taken Eva to hook up if she hadn't suggested that to him?  Do you think that he would have suggested his apartment then or suggested her apartment with Cary there?

    What do you think?

Here are a couple of questions I have about that night. On the way to the hotel after the gym, Gideon went out of his way to make sure a photographer took their picture. First, how did he know there was a photographer, was he following him or was he planted? Second, when Eva ran and ended up in the little bistro and he found her, why did he say he couldn't be seen in public at that time and took her back to the apartment?

  14. The more I think about it, GiGi, the more I'm convinced that as far as the blackmail was concerned, Gideon was working with Stanton and Monica on that, probably taking the lead (given his resources, including lots of security experts) in tracking down the originals.

As I re read RIY for the third time I believe that the three of them were working together. Why else would Gideon leave a message for Monica and Stanton that he was taking Eva away for the weekend?

  15. Read pages32-39 and visually imagine the time laspse between Eva returning from lunch, Corrine leaving the building as Eva was across the street, Nathan leaving Gideon's office (and he randomly appeared there as well I think as Gideon won't dare invite him that close to Eva) after the fight, Eva walking into the office.

I think Angus offered Corrine a ride purposely to warn her potentially.

    KiMa

Where does this scene start? My Nook reader does not match with those page.
