The time Gideon saw Nathan was when Eva was coming back from lunch with Megumi, and Corinne came out of the Crossfire building looking dishevelled. Eva confronted Gideon in his office resulting in a "fight" when Eva lost the plot. That was Thursday. Eva went to lunch with Monica and Megumi on the Monday, that's when Monica saw Nathan lurking outside the building. Intimidating, blackmailing Gideon into paying money for the photos.

I would have thought that Nathan went out the back door with a security escort, making sure Eva wouldn't come face to face with him. I'm sure Nathan would have gone empty handed. Couldn't see Gideon giving them back, even if they were just copies.

You could be right. I think I smell a rat? They could be putting on a show for Deanna, manipulating the story, helping their alibi's that Gideon dumped Eva over her dalliance with Brett. The press would salivate at this story. This might strengthen Gideons alibi, thus getting the cops to finally drop the case, through lack of evidence. Oh the theories are endless. :)

I agree with you. I wonder if the Vidal family know about this? Is Chris Vidal jnr up to mischief? I'm just wondering why Eva would go to it, if there' s a possibility she could bump into Brett. Who gave her the invite? I know she would go for Carys career. But do you think it is a publicity stunt?

i agree with some of this. First and foremost, this is a romance story. It has dark undertones, one or two of characters have been badly damaged, so much so, that their mental health is in serious question. A deed has been done which took a dark road. I think to able to live without looking over their shoulder for the rest of their lives, it needs resolving properly. If it means a court case so be it. This burden needs lifting. Those shoulders can only take so much cr*p. A HEA will come but probably after a lot more heartache and agony.

Good theory. Eva won't be happy. Gideon will be apoplectic, unable to do a thing. Poetic justice, some might say.

I agree Gideon started out as one character, an arrogant d**che but morphed into a damaged loving hero. God! I just want to hug him and tell him he will be ok. :)

I think Gideon will need closure on this Nathan business, to aid his recovery. He has enough baggage, his shoulders are sagging under the weight. Poor chap. The way the book is being marketed, with snippets, snapshots, and clues is brilliant, the suspense is gripping, but my nerves are frayed!! So many scenarios keep running through my little brain!! Some of them not good.

Favourite lines today."I missed you" he said softly, his lips pressing to my brow. "So d*mn much. And not just for this." Gideon loves his girl so much. It oozes from his pores. :)

Hi Sheens I have to do catch up over my cornflakes, because the USA and Canada chat all night. Lol This hole is getting deeper and deeper if feel. Shaking my head here. I have a horrible feeling Gideon will be arrested at some point. Call it gut instinct. :(

If Victor finds out what Gideon has done, it will put him in a difficult position. As a cop, he should do his job and arrest him. But help him to get the best plea. Knowing that his actions were to save Eva, will go a long way with Victor. Victor knowing that his daughter loves Gideon, and vice versa will want to help him. As a father, he would probably want to shake Gideons hand or alternately have eliminated Nathan himself. Hopefully book 4 will reveal all.

On the night of the dinner, they were both vying for Eva's affections, but because of Gideons behaviour Eva wasn't prepared to give him the opportunity. I think Victor will find out about Eva's abuse. I'm sure Graves will let it slip. Eva said that Gideon didn't look at her nearly the entire evening he was there, but I'm sure Victor kept his eye on him, trying to read him.

What sort of mischief do you think they might cause and for what reason?

Most definitely. Monica's mothering skills, were probably due to how she was raised. Also being a single mother, with no family support, and young herself. Eva is more grounded. She wanted to start her career at the bottom of the ladder, and work her way up on her own merits. Not trading on Stanton's name. She wants Gideon for love, not for his money, like Monica did with her husbands. Eva will be fine, once she and Gideon are in the right places.

LN Cronan If your theory is correct , of conflict and resolution. Snapshot 9 was the club, snapshot 10 was the diamond watch. Whatever resulted in conflict in the club, perhaps some sort of confrontation or somebody making a play for Eva, the watch is the resolution? Your theory of the watch symbolising an engagement ring? Gideon makes a big decision to put a ring on it? How do you feel about that? Or am I way off base? This is like doing a 10,000 piece jigsaw! You keep going till a bit fits. :)

I don't think for a minute that Eva and Gideon would approach Deanna, unless they wanted to manipulate her with a story. Eva knows the score regarding keeping a low profile, she is a cops daughter. Yes they will be creeping around, but they can have some time to themselves, which will be good for their relationship. Other people in their lives complicate matters. That's when those darn demon twins rear their ugly heads. Cary will be good, hopefully. :)
