For a clever man, he was way off base. Poor Eva, its a wonder if she knows whether she's coming or going. When you consider how long they have been a couple, I think a lot of women would have thrown in the towel, unable to carry on with this level of treachery. Eva has broken the brunette spell, that Gideon was put under. For whatever the reasons of his fetish, that spell has gone. Hope we find out soon. :)

They're using each other as a crutch. Thinking about it, all the main characters-Monica Gideon Eva Cary Corinne Magdalena-all have these issues. Dr Petersen is going to be one busy chap with this lot. Eva and Cary, while is great that they know each others issues, and are great friends, they need to be more independent of each other. It's just not healthy.

Sometimes you think he's got it, then other times you want to slap him! Yes he/Corinne were responsible for Eva's nightmare, but his care afterwards towards Eva, was so touching.

Totally agree with you. Cary is in desperate need of therapy, not just the occasional chat with Dr Travis. He has the same demons as Gideon and Eva. I think Gideon will pay for treatment/rehab for Cary, hopefully getting Cary back on side. Gideon knows if Cary is in a good place, Eva will be happy. Just a thought. In "Friends" Joey was the third person in Monica and Chandlers marriage. I can see the same happening with Eva and Gideon, with Cary. Eva mentioned to Gideon that Cary was for life. He just needs support, love and someone to point him in the right direction. Helping him stand on his own two feet, to be independent. He got worried when Eva mentioned going to Las Vegas, he thought she was going to tell him she was moving in with Gideon. He has to realise, this will happen one day.

Gideon did mention, when Eva approached him on the plane in his office, that he wasn't happy that he had woken without her that morning(no s*x), and was having to spend the entire weekend apart(no s*x). Eva asked him why he was grumpy. She accused him of having PMS!

You got to give the guy credit. He won't physically hurt Eva, in any shape or form. Only emotionally, which we know why he did it. He is a big guy but her comfort is paramount.

But she didn't read him very well when they first started dating. She never really knew him. In all that time together, she didn't even scrap the surface of who Gideon was. Seems like the communication problem isn't knew to Eva. Corinne had it then. Gideons always had it. Mind you, Corinne has made up for it now!! Very vocal to Eva.

Since you mention this. I maintain that he saw his dad kill himself or found him after he committed suicide. Perhaps he has got a hang up about blood. Considering periods had never cropped up in his s*x life before, I would say he was a bit out of his comfort zone(again) with this little problem.

Further to a post I made a while back. I do think Brett may have dumped a girl, hoping to get back with Eva. When she asked him at lunch if he was seeing anyone, he said "not now." I could be misinterpreting this comment. Yet another person being sucked into the vortex?
