Sorry I hit post but wasn't done writing. What I was saying is after so long a witness most likely won't remember at exactly what time they saw Gideon because it isn't important to their everyday life. So even though a murder investigation never closes, it will be much harder to prosecute Gideon on only witness statements.

The longer Gideon and Eva wait to get back together publically the better. Because if the cops don't have any physical evidence againist him and they only were able to break his alibi based on eye witness accounts, over time witnesses forget little details and only remember things like Gideon being there.

Omg!!! Now that we know for sure Gideon killed Nathan personally the only way I can think he got away from Corinne long enough was to tell her he was going to talk to the fire fighters or the manager of the hotel. Talk to them just long enough to establish he actually talked to them then snuck out. Here lies another problem if Corinne starts to figure out that she's being used as a ruse and figures out what Gideon did for Eva. Will she remain a loyal friend to Gideon or will the expression He** hath no fury like a woman scorn become Corinne. Because I can easily her not ratting Gideon out but no longer helping him.

I gotta agree when I first read the book I thought why would Cary record them having sex it is creepy I understand him recording Christopher's and Magdelene's conversation since it was about Eva and Gideon but the sex part is weird.Also I would like to know whats on the rest of the video after Eva's phone died maybe there's more talking.

By the way one of the definitions of proverbial is a person who is the embodiment or representation of a some quality or idea. Which could mean Gideon still as blood on his hands because he was the mastermind of the murder . But legally he would be charged with conspiracy to commit murder while morally he is a murderer.

Ok so here is my theory about what some others are saying in regards Corinne killed Nathan. I don't buy that for a second. 1st of all we have no reason whatsoever to believe they ever met other than the fact they were both in the Crossfire the same day. And if Nathan was in Gideon's fighting him its most likely security was called at some point and he was escorted out of the building. While Gideon didn't know Corinne was in the building why because she never made it past the lobby for all we know she was "manhandled" by a security gaurd when she refused to leave. Seeing Eva coming back from lunch she just decided to play along with mussed up looks to try and play on Eva's insecurities. The more I think about it the more I lean towards Angus as the actual killer with Gideon playing puppet master. I believe Gideon informed Stanton to make sure that Stanton and Monica had alibis for all of Thrusday night but didn't give Stanton specific details. What makes me think this is the Monday after Cary is attacked Monica and Gideon talked while Eva was with Cary. Then Monica told Eva that Gideon was going to marry her when Eva asked why she said that Monica replies because he's taking care of everything. I don't think Gideon would tell Monica anything specific other than when Eva is heart broken just play along its all apart of a plan to get rid of Nathan. Monica was probably a bit confused at first until Nathan turns up dead. I also believe if. Detective Graves is so he** bound to break Gideon's alibi because she didn't believe the whole Corinne cover story that she repeatably visit the hotel to interview employees she would have definitely interviewed Corinne because as Gideon's date she would have supposedly been with him all night and as much as Corinne wants Gideon she wouldn't have let him out of her sight the 30 minutes it took to get to and from Nathan's hotel(15 minutes walking each way) Even though Angus is an employee he and Gideon have a strong bond since Gideon's childhood so if Gideon were to trust anyone with protecting Eva through the extreme of murder its Angus. Gideon isn't stupid enough to hire a hit man he knew the cops would records of financials. Thrusday night Eva states Angus drops her off at Dr. Petersen at a quater til six but never mentions anything about how she got home. I think Sylvia left that tidbit out on purpose. Also in the excerpt eva says Gideon has proverbial blood on his hands which I found to be interesting wording why add the proverbial.

What if, when his mother first found out Gideon may be being abused, that there were no physical signs yet. That it was still at the initial stage where the abuser was showing Gideon how to touch himself. From what Gideon told Eva, that's how it began. The abuser said he needed to touch himself to relieve stress, and he manipulated Gideon into thinking he'd been doing it "wrong."

Hand jobs aren't going to leave marks on him. What if based solely on an exam at that stage, which would fail to turn up signs of any physical trauma, Elizabeth decided he was lying and allowed the abuser to continue to see Gideon. Now the guy knows the coast is clear, because no one believes the kid. Nor had anyone been watching anyway; they'd left Gideon alone with him a lot. Now the abuser has free reign to do whatever he wants. Gideon's nightmares expressing "it hurts" coupled with his hang-ups about anal play both point to forcible penetration being done to him at some point,

Very true LN Cronan. Poor Eva has everyone keeping secrets from her the only one she has is not telling her dad about Nathan but I think her dad will investigate now because how Eva reacted hearing his name. I think secrets are still going to be a heavy theme in EWY, but with a little bit of a shift. Like you said Eva and Gideon are showing trust and honesty with each other but now I believe they are to start keeping secrets from everyone else including the fact that they are together.

I am not 100% sure Gideon killed Nathan personally( have no doubts what so ever that he was involved in the planning and cover up) 1st of all if Gideon was with Corinne as we know at the Kingsman Vodka party it would be pretty hard for him to get away from her for the 30 minutes it took ( if he walked 15 minutes each way.) If Detective Graves was so bent on breaking Gideon's alibi that she repeatably went to the hotel to interview employees its only logical she would have interviewed his date the one person who should supposidly be with him all night and there is no way he told Corinne anything. Especially considering Detective Graves implied she never believed Gideon was really back together with Corinne. Graves knew about Eva dumping Gideon Saturday morning even though the press was reporting Gideon broke up with Eva for Corinne on Monday. I personally believe Angus or Clancey did the actual deed while Gideon, Monica and Stanton planned everything out. They had to make sure they all had a alibi for the murder. Mr. Barker I don't think had anything to do with Nathan's murder he was probably not happy but relieved by his death though.
