I wonder whether Eva thought that her body was her own or whether her body was just a vessel to be with and used by men. From all accounts Eva had an extremely poor self esteem and she used sex in attempts to try and boost her self esteem and get men to like her (most especially Brett during the day...) but in the end Eva always felt used. She mentioned something to that effect in the first book during the club scene when she was in the process of deciding whether to entertain Gideon's suggestion of a se***l arrangement.

I think that Eva started setting limits or making terms about how she would engage in se* as a matter of self-preservation. I think that therapy also helped her to realise that her behaviours were affecting her negatively.

I believe Eva's body was her's and she used it as a tool to try and feel love and connection with men. She had sex with those men on her terms never giving up control. Because she never emotionally connected with these men she felt used and dirty afterwards but in reality she used herself and those men just took advantage of a girl with self esteem issues.

I loved FSOG. Ana had her sassy moments and Christian had his sweet moments. All that being said I LOVE BTY AND RIY and find myself obsessed and worried for Gideon and Eva like they are real ppl. Sylvia's writing and the angst all the characters have suffered through is just and a little more real and relateable to me. While FSOG seems like a fanasty.

It bothers me too. SD is amazing not only for writing BTY and RIY but for also giving us the snippets and snapshots. She has gone above and beyond to help make the wait for EWY more bearable.

It's interesting to me that they threw that up there. I'm wondering how happy SD is with Penguin. She's endured a ###### of a lot of backlash from the book release date being pushed back.  I did see her response to you on FB though about the original picture.

I never blamed SD for the delay but I know she took a lot of H.E.L.L for it. I think Penquin has realized they need to start keeping SD happy and if she is happy we the fans will be happier too.

I think the ring picture was indeed real. I also think SD probably flipped her lid when she realized that was the photo Penquin decided to use ( it is too big of a spoiler) and she demanded that the photo be changed. She obviously didnt have prior approval of countdown pictures because she stated very clearly on her facebook page that Penquin is responsible for all countdown photos. Penquin probably agreed to change the ring pic because they wanted to keep SD happy.

SD answered on Facebook when I asked why the Day 13 was changed and her responce was That Penquin Austraila is responsible for all pictures but she never denied the photo was real. So Penquin changed the picture I guess.

I asked SD on facebook why the orginal countdown photo for day 13 changed. Hopefully she will answer but I kinda have my doubts.

Hi LN I have always thought that Gideon overheard that discussion between Cary and Eva simply because of what Eva stated later that Gideon had been quiet all day starting with when He'd woken up and the ride to work had been made in silence...GidEva most always have a nice chat of some type in the car on the way to work. I think he was just pondering what Eva and Cary said earlier in the morning etc...

I agree I have always thought that as soon as Eva got out of bed Gideon woke and went to find her. Since she was talking to Cary he decided to listen to get her honest feelings and reactions to the previous day's events.

I was thinking the same thing ! They were together for three years! I mean , GidEva ( lol) could have done it in the week she had t , bath, shower lol. Didn't Eva say something , or think it rather, that she hAdnt experienced that part of a relationship also? But in Bared, she said she had gotten further w Gideon ten she had in relationships lasting two years. Confused about that.

what I thought Eva meant was how much she already loved and trusted Gideon far more than any other boyfriend so quickly.

I know what you mean Juile I am beyond obsessed. I am constantly worried for them and have to remind myself they are fictional characters. Sylvia wrote their story so well its just too easy to love them.

How's this for a fantasy of how it unfolds:Gideon answers the door (can't let any strangers/outsiders see Eva's there) but instead of the delivery person, it would be Corrine who barges her way in.He tried to get her to leave immediately, and as a result she gets suspicious/mad.She concludes he's probably up to his old trick of keeping the women he dates and the ones he f*** separate - Magdalene would have told Corrine all about thatSo Corrine marches into his bedroom planning to confront the current "one night stand" -- asserting her (Corrine's) celebrity status as Gideon Cross' current girlfriend/future wife.Goes in there planning to throw the s*** out and so she can then deliver a sexual ultimatum to Gideon -- she demands he make love to her and let her stay the night in his bed and ...... oops .... meets the real future Mrs. Gideon Cross, who has been spending many nights in his bed (as well as making love in lots of other interesting locations.) Yow!!!  Oh we're having fun this evening spinning these fantasies .....

That would amazing. LN I love how your minds works. But I desperately want Corinne to catch GidEva in the act or postcoital so she has to face facts that Gideon doesn't love her(Corinne)

Glad I made you laugh because I laughed as I wrote it mentally picturing it. But you do have a point Corinne would be annouced I hadn't thought of that.

It would be even better if she turned up at Gideon's unannounced & it was Eva who IMMEDIATELY opened the door looking thoroughly f**ked with Gideon behind her. How I would love it to go down like that. Its about time Corinne got a taste of her own medicine!

What would be hilarious is if Gideon and Eva ordered food from some restaurant so they are expecting the delivery guy. Eva opens the door thinking its their dinner and Corinne gets the surpise( not a good one) of her life. Eva would have the biggest "hey paybacks a bi***" smile on her face.

Maybe GidEva are at the same fundraiser dinner. Eva with Cary and Gideon with Corinne. Eva and Gideon end up dancing trying to act nonchalant but they just can't pull it off because anybody with eyes and a brain would be able to tell they are passionately in love.

43 because Eva made a comment in RIY (when Monica,Cary,Eva and Stanton went out on the town) that she (Eva) thought it was amazing that her mother could wear her clothes. She also said she(Monica) didn't look ike she was almost 20 years older than her(Eva) .So I believe Monica got pregnant at 18 and had Eva at 19. Since Eva is 24.

I hope it's not too long. While this sneaking around could be exciting, it can be exhausting too. Plus what charade will they be playing because I DON'T want to deal with the insecurities over Brett and Corrine the whole book. I need more North Carolina time.
