I am sorry Tbidwell but what you said was aggressive, I as a member of this site find your tone to Sylvia aggressive and very disrespectful she is the author, she writes the books we all love and we have to wait for her to finish the series and be happy with it, regardless of how frustrated we all get as we love these characters, it takes time and let's face it no one wants the book to come out and have a naff ending do we.

 

We all say what was said a few weeks back and I hate to remind you but you said a while back you were not writing anything more on this site again.

 

Why don't we just let Sylvia get on with her book.  I for one can't wait to meet her this year when she comes to my home country for the Edinburgh Author Event, that will be one of the highlights of my year

just some thoughts.....on page 348 of EWY....G and E are dancing at the function, and Eva is watching Cary dancing with the redhead...(wouldn't Gideon have recognized the girl if it was Anne)   then....he says "look at me" to Eva  she replies  "hi ace"  then he says "crossfire"   and she says " we are learning from our mistakes".  G replies "you read my mind"  ok.....what mistakes are they learning from? ( I have too much time on my hands from rereading the series)

 

then on page 355  it states that Gideon ended up on the phone....bet that is when he is making plans on going to San Diego with them....

 

any thoughts?

 

surprising that Charlie Hunan got out of FSOG....(didn't he have to sign a contract ?)  personally I was growing used to him playing the part and doing a good job

The mistakes they are talking about is the jeleousy and the insecurities they have had with each other being around other people.  Gideon did not see the Red Head as he only had eyes for his wife.

 

He could go to San Diego with them we will not know until the next book

BTW, I agree with  Nathalia and dgcafffeine, a baby right now would not be a good idea. Too many issues to work with, Eva's career to develope... but 5 years later, still loving the idea of a baby Cross.

I think we would all love a baby Cross in the epilogue, yes these two have too many things to work through just now before they can even think of having a family together

For some reason I had the impression Eva was undecided on Chris Sr.

I think Peachies, she does not know him well enough to make a decision on him but I think she is a bit put off that he seems to be in awe of his wife and son and does not have the balls to rock the boat with Chris Jnr

I can see Chris Sr. not wanting to take sides against his sons. He already knows that Jr has jealousy issues when it comes to Gideon and he probably didn't want to feed that fire. As for being involved, I'd say he let Elizabeth handle a lot of the issues with the children while he was busy being music industry mogul. I do not think that is unusual and so far he has not given us a reason to dislike him.. Eva seemed to like him. And he clearly respects Gideon's business acumen.

I am sure that Lionsgate will do a good job with the series.  I never had any doubt...Wait...there's one doubt; how long will we have to wait before we the "general public", get to see this mini-series?  Will we have to wait for years while endless casting decisions are made?  We may actually end up losing great actors while they continue to "age" waiting for a decision. 

I know what you are saying here GiGi, I hope it is not as long as waiting for the books to come out LOL

FYI

In April, 2013 New York put forth legislation to remove statute of limitations on time victims of childhood sexual abuse have to file civil and/or criminal charges. Would be nice if Sylvia could work the outcome, if it is good, into the HEA.

LN & Kirsten already informed us of this way back when she was on the forum, we had very heated discussions about Abuse and Statute of Limitiations and as someone who studied Law LN informed us of this and Kirsten also who is qualified in Law informed us of the changes in legislation but thank you for reminding us.

    I didn't think anything about six ninths getting signed with Vidal.  If you remember before Gideon Eva kept a low profile not even participating in any social medium.  She didn't want Nathan to find her.  Six Ninths has talent and won the contract like you said.  After Gideon and Eva became public all the snakes came out from under the rock to cause them trouble.  Christopher and Sam what's his name decided to see how they can use Eva to make money.

This is a lovely song but maybe best in the Music Thread not in this thread

Since Crossfire not only is a wonderful love story but a presentation on the effect of childhood sexual abuse, perhaps Lionsgate could include a public service announcement. Gideon spoke of the statute of limitations preventing him from getting justice against Hugh but now the New York legislature and those in several other states have or are seeking to make it easier for victims to pursue justice as adults.

I really don't think a production company will do a PSA before a series starts, there are lots of drama series and films out there just now that covers this abuse and violence without a PSA.  Lionsgate are a reputable company and have dealt with all sorts of films and TV Drama's to know what is the best way to incorporate these issues with taste.  

 

I trust that they will not only make an amazing series but will also do it tastefully
