I think its one of the monthly vacations as described in their pre-nup agreement. Somewhere tropical judging by the palm tree. 

I'm wondering if sylvia gives parts of the book in Gideon's pov just to change it up a bit. I really hope they are out by the end of July.

This is what I'm thinking too. There's this teaser plus the one where Gideon is talking to Elizabeth. Where is Eva for these conversations? These must be Gideon's pov! Isn't that so exciting?!?!? Ahhh I can't wait for this book!

I think they'll be able to sleep together once Gideon deals with whatever it is he's blocking out.  I think there is a big "gap" & miscommunications around Gideon's abuse. When Eva confronts Lizzie, Lizzie says Christopher was there & says nothing happened.  Christopher would not have been at (all of) Gideon's psych sessions. Whatever it is, is so traumatic Gideon has blocked it out - hence he does not remember a lot of his nightmares.

 

I keep thinking back to snippets (and possible clues) from the garden party in Bared to You:

- Lizzie is brunette, so is it that surprising that Gideon tended towards brunettes?  Or that he only truly connects emotionally & trusts when he meets a woman that is different (given his feelings for his mother)?  I'm also guessing Magdalene's mother is brunette.  As Lizzie's best friend I'm assuming she would have been at the garden party yet we didn't "meet" her ??  Was she the "come-hither female voice" that calls after Gideon when he chases Eva into the house?  Creeps me out a little, but am putting it out there

- Then there is the comment that Gideon makes to his mother (baring his teeth) "I thought you might like him" referring to Cary and adding that she remember Cary is a friend of Eva's & therefore a friend of Gideon's.  Which I read as a warning to Lizzie.  Why?  What does he think Lizzie would do to or with Cary?

 

Also, when warning Eva to stay away from Christopher in Bared to You, Gideon mentions Christopher is "unstable".  So far we have only witnessed Christopher being a ###### bag. We have not yet learned of what he has done/is capable of.

 

Hmm you raise some very interesting points about Lizzie and Cary. I'd imagine there must be a reason why Gideon gave his mother that warning. 

 

I can't wait to find out why Christopher decided to lie about Gideon's abuse. Or maybe he didn't know? 

 

And this sleeping separate stuff has got to end! It's probably pretty miserable for Eva to be married have to and sleep alone at night. 

I think she is "trying to help" by telling Gideon something awful about Eva. Elizabeth told Eva that she knows about her and Brett so I bet she is warning Gideon that Eva will break his heart. 

   Maybe I am a naive prudish woman from Down Under, but I don't understand the significance of having one's ###### cell phone with them when holed up with Eva. Can someone explain?

I'm thinking Gideon pities the guy because "being holed up with Eva Trammel" is never going to happen.

I was confused by that particular teaser as well. I don't know what "holed up" is supposed to mean, and I'm not sure what that has to do with having a cell phone either. "Teaser" is definitely the right word for these. 

Welcome Nazz and I totally agree with you I am definitely not looking forward to life without GidEva after book 5... .

Hey don't forget about the television series! After book 5, we'll be able to tune in each week to watch GidEva on the silver screen. I really hope it airs on Showtime or HBO so that they can show all the juicy love scenes. However, I did see that Sylvia said on FB that she hasn't heard from the producers in months and that sometimes even though books get licensed for TV that doesn't mean it will actually come to fruition. That made me really nervous when she said that. I hope life after book 5 involves a long lasting TV series that do the books justice because I definitely won't be ready to say goodbye. 

I hope we get some news on Mother's Day!

You're still visiting the website daily I see. Your threats are empty. Look, there is obviously a huge disconnect between what you are writing and what you are trying to convey. Your intentions are definitely not aligned with your impact. You probably don't mean any harm, but the way you write is extremely off-putting. Perhaps your lawyer boyfriend should check your posts more thoroughly.

I am just asking a question if you can,t take what I have writen then don,t say something you can,t keep because you are getting peoples hopes up and that is wrong I have never been abrasive or accusatory or demanding your the one who says there should be date within weeks or it should not take long not me your the one being abrasive and accusatory you are writing nasty thing to me it is really beginning to ###### me off I will no longer visit this websit or look out for your books ho and by the way I get what I write checked so no one can say I am being horrible when I am not

 

 Wow I don't log in for a few days and I'm totally surprised to see that this is the stuff people post when all I'm trying to do is catch up on the latest GidEva info. Did you really just call Sylvia a ho? What is wrong with you? I think you should make good on that threat to "no longer visit this website". You've said it more than once now so just do it.

I agree I saw him in a movie poster a couple of weeks ago and I immediately thought of Gideon... .

OMG Zac Efron is one fine specimen. He is gorgeous but for some reason I don't see him as Gideon. Maybe I just can't get High School Musical out of my head, but Zac comes across as too young. Yes I know Zac is 26, not too far off from Gideon, but I still imagine Gideon differently and more mature in his looks. 

Well said Kristen. I just like talking about GidEva so why don't we start some stimulating discussions in that direction to pass the time; at this time last year we were talking all day not complaining!! .

hi sylvia I am very sorry to say this but I have read thousands of lady's reviews on when the date of captivated by you will be out and they are NOT very happy with you they wish they never brought the crossfire series and they are giving up hope for a date on your last two books and going to other books if captivated is finished your publisher should release it or you will lose a lot of your fans they say they are sick and tired of waiting nearly a year is to much time to wait and I can agree with them I am just writing what the lady's on the websit are saying and you have a right to know

tbidwell, no disrespect meant at all, but I think you are wasting your time with posts like this. Let those other websites house this sort of negative energy, not the FANSITE. Sylvia shouldn't have to come to her fansite to read this kind of stuff. Let's keep this message board a place of POSITIVITY for Sylvia. We all enjoy when she comes to the board and posts, so let's not ruin it. This is where the real fans come, not the ones who are fed up from waiting and threatening to walk out on the series. I mean, don't get me wrong, I feel their pain, I want the book out like YESTERDAY...the wait sucks majorly. However, there are TONS of other things to read, see and do rather than sit around moping and complaining because CBY isn't out yet. If Sylvia "loses" the fans who are tired of waiting, then they weren't worth having int he first place. 

Gandy is hot but he is not G.  He is Ethan Blackstone.  Hayden is gorgeous but not curvy enough and already busy with NASHVILLE.  Wish they would hurry up already.

I've lost count on how many times I read the series. It's either 5 or 6, I'm right there with ya. Agree that this is the best series I've read. The waiting is crazy, not sure what the publisher is gaining from this long wait. 

yes, that is a good theory; but Nathan probably didn't know about Gideon Cross until he saw him with Eva and maybe that prompted him to blackmail Stanton and Gideon for money....also why take the chance to beat up Cary ( he could have gotten caught and put in jail)but then again he probably didn't want anyone with Eva

He had to beat up Cary to prove to Gideon that he was serious and that he wasn't going to take no for an answer. Remember he had to ask Gideon for the cash more than once...the first time he asked for the money he got beat up by Gideon in his office 

What if the mob killed Nathan because Nathan had ties, or because they knew some how G wanted Nathan done (maybe angus). They could have acted like they were doing it as a favor but really using it as something to get something from Gideon.

Something big that can happen is Eva getting kidnapped by the mob. That would be sad but the worst of the worst in my opinion.

No, GIdeon has already confessed to killing Nathan. He told Eva the entire story.

 

Here's my theory on the whole Russian mob thing: I think Nathan is the one who had ties to the mob, and he owed them money. That's why he was trying to get money from Stanton and Gideon. Once he made arrangements to get the money from Gideon (or so he thought), he told the mob guy that he would finally have the money to pay off whatever debt he owed. So the mob guy came to Nathan's hotel to get his money, only to find him dead. He decided to take the only thing that Nathan had of value...his ruby bracelet. Then, for whatever reason, the mob guy was murdered by his own mob partner later. But Gideon has no ties to the mob.

Ahh the anticipation is killing me! I can't wait for those snippets to come out! I've never been this excited over a book before. Crazy I tell ya.

I think it will be early May! Part of me is kinda hoping that is sometime in May since I am in my last semester of college and the last thing I need is a 400 page book I will want to read five times in one week....

I know we all hope CBY comes out as soon as possible, but what do you guys think is the realistic release date?

Although I promised myself that I wouldn't think of dates so that I won't be let down...I'm guessing June 2014. One year between books. This is just a hunch.

Have you guys been on Sylvia's Facebook page lately? My gosh, those people on her wall are brutal. I mean she gets HARASSED on a  daily basis for CBY. She can't post ANYTHING without being hassled about a release date for CBY. I mean she's only done like a gazillion live Q and A sessions and people have the nerve to accuse her of not connecting with fans. Can't please everyone. I feel bad for her. This is where the REAL fans are...patiently waiting. 

Remember when we thought CBY would come out before Aftershock.... lol

bwahahaha! yes I remember when we thought that. Someone said that CBY was her next book to be released and since Aftershock is in March, then that means CBY would be February. Nope! Guess again. :-( 

I have already read all three books at least 5 times each and I would re-read them 5 more times if from Gideon's POV! Oh my gosh that would be such a treat. 

Yes Kristen one of my favorite thoughts of Eva's in EWY is when Gideon notes " you're different..." And Eva muses "the man I loved had killed for me ; a lot of things became inconsequential after that ..." Absolutely...

Well I love that Gideon killed Nathan when he did. What a twist! It's so cool to see it all come together when you re-read the book from that perspective. Also...I can't think of a better way for someone to prove their love for another. I mean he literally killed for her. Just like he said he would. 

 

Wait til you read the first two chapters in EWY...their steamy love-making reunion is sooo special knowing that he made the ultimate sacrifice for her. 

Yes soooooo very frustrating... My new approach to it is ; when it comes out , it comes out and then we will read it !! Sylvia does drop some nice hints in her book chats . Now I'm really curious about what Arnoldo said at dinner because I didn't think that really would be revisited!! Anyway the more I hear her talk about book 5 the more sad I am that their story will be over....I'm really gonna miss GidEva!!

I think the most frustrating part is that Sylvia told us a while ago that there wouldn't be a long wait in between books 3 and 4, yet here we are in February still waiting. If she hadn't said that, then my expectations would've been different and I wouldn't have got my hopes up. When you actually think about it, a year between books is normal for a lot of authors. 

 

But you're right it is so sad to hear her talk about the end of the series. I'm going to miss them too. But don't forget we have the TV show to look forward to! If it's on network TV like HBO or Showtime (which I don't have) I will gladly call up my cable company to get it added just for that show!
