  1. Hurt your feelings. Hey, I've experienced it, and have been on the giving end of it as well. The RTB "scandal" hasn't been about the PTB of the blog hub hiding their identities, because most of the visitors have expressed their nonchalance with the entire situation, myself included. The reason why its so fired up? Because a friend got their feelings hurt in the process of concealment. So, what does one do when someone they thought was their friend hurts them? Is that friendship over, irreparable? Is there a tacit truce, yet the burgeoning friendship has halted? Does even more deception and concealment occur for the sake of masking the pain and the root of it? What happens next? Has this situation happened to you? What did you do about it, or what would you do about it?
  2. ...that is the question. Whether it is nobler to write a synopsis and three chapters of a manuscript you're positive is concrete in what's going to happen all the way to the end, or to complete it and then send out one's query letters. (This pertains to the working author who has established some sort of relationship with agents and/or editors who've rejected their previous works).
  3. Everyone keeps talking about this movie! I just know that Will Smith and Eva Mendes are in it and that he is some sort of male wedding planner or something. Someone review the movie for me. :D
  4. Not just from friends and family due to the nature of our work, but sometimes from writer friends, etc because of the shaky medium of the internet(which causes problems alot because one isn't able to hear a person's tone of voice), but also because some authors may come into the game viewing every else as competition? Are we in competition, in truth? If Author A and Author B know each other online, and both have same genre books coming out within the same month, aren't they competitors in a sense? Does anyone feel that this subconcious thing keeps writers somewhat divided, or if not divided, hesitant to make friends with other people? Does the online writing community sometimes feel like high school, or have your experiences been 100% positive? Fess up!
  5. Think of this series as Buffy meets Alicia Keys mixed with a bit more religion and a vampire male protagonist to die for. While the language gets a bit hectic(not just the cursing, but the slang lingo), Banks has created a very sexy and very spectacular take on the Buffy-esque genre that you don't want to miss. Minion is the first book, followed by The Awakening, The Hunted, & The Bitten. The Forbidden is book 5, which is coming out this July.
  6. I'm working on an Edwardian set romance and in the planning stages of a supernatural/paranormal mystery series featuring a kick-Arse lawyer heroine. Love the new message board!
  7. I'm still thinking, but here's a few off the top of my head:(BTW, what's WORD? Can anyone join it? It sounds fantastic.) Narrow my time frame for each manuscript to four months each. Live with the internet, not in it. Learn how to properly balance my time. Learn how to fence, knit and drive a car. Read more books outside of romance genre. Take plunges when needed and hold myself back when needed.
