I think Peachies, she does not know him well enough to make a decision on him but I think she is a bit put off that he seems to be in awe of his wife and son and does not have the balls to rock the boat with Chris Jnr

OMG I can't help but think of Gideon and Eva whenever I hear that Bruno Mars Gorilla song! I think at least part of it should make it in the soundtrack. Its so them!

Sylvia posted something on FB that is a quote from a famous author.  Cannot bring it over.  Anyway, the quote was something like 10 years from now no one will remember how long that waited for the book to come out, but how good it was when it did.  Maybe someone can bring it but I kind of thought she was telling us just be patient.  Easy for her to say.  She knows how it goes.  ;-)

There is no doubt in my mind that Tat is lying! I think she's doing that in hopes that Cary will choose her. Which I hope he wont. 

 

I don't think that Gideon spoke to Cary. If he did though I can see why Cary would be upset at her for not telling him about their relationship first.

 

Hopefully there will be a baby in the epilogue or something. I love to read books where the couple we followed has had a kid or two and they seem to have a happily ever after. It's like we've seen their love and now we see their family progression. When I read Fallen Too Far I loved how the baby was in like the last ten chapters or so.

Maybe one baby? Just one? In an epilogue "5 years later" at the end of book 5 or in a novella to add to the Crossfire Series? Of course, Eva's and Gideon's baby!

With all that hot "nookie" that Gideon and Eva have been having, I am surprised that Eva isn't pregnant already. 

 

 I admit, I don't feel comfortable talking about this topic on this site, but since we 've opened the can of worms so to speak, the latest actors up for the role of CG are Jamie Dornan, Theo James & Christian Cooke. We'll see where this goes. Also, apparently the script is a mess so they've hired an Academy award nominated writer to fix things...i'm getting the feeling that this project may be trashed...too many problems.

 

 

this is news to me....haven't heard of those actors except for maybe Theo James....isn't he supposed to be in the movie "Divergent" out next year?  It is probably hard to get a screenplay written since alot of the dialog was typed thru e-mail between the two.

We have to have something to talk about.....just waiting for some news from  Sylvia!!  but she is busy in Olso, Norway  (lucky woman)

 

 

I don't know what is taking that project so long.  The books were written and released over 2 years ago.  At this point, I am not sure the excitement is what it could have been.  Too much time.  Too many issues finding CG.  Now script issues?  I thought they were gonna start filming in November.  I so hope CROSSFIRE goes more smoothly.  We love this story too much for it to be f ucked up.

I think you ladies may be on to something.  I think that if the movie snafu's continue to occur (hiring & firing), people may eventually lose interest in the story (although it is very good).  The erotic romance genre is hot right now and I think that there are many good authors and great characters that are ready and able to take up the interest of the fans...can anyone say Crossfire?

I was watching Entertainment Tonight this evening and the whole FSOF was mentioned.  The screen writing was apparently fired as well as CH leaving.  I really don't think that this was a matter of people not liking CH for the role.  I can't see a movie studio firing an actor simply because of a few "fan opinions".

 

Every day that they are not writing or filming is costing the movie studio money.  Several of the ladies had mentioned that they had seen CH in several programs and that he is a good actor, so acting abilities aside, maybe what seemed like really good chemistry didn't quite pan out.

 

BDSM is a really intimate subject.  I would think that performing in one of those scenes might be beyond uncomfortable for someone who doesn't live that lifestyle.  I don't know that kind of life can be faked or acted.  It is not like acting in a regular love scene.  Either a person is into that scene or they aren't.  I can see how that kind of discomfort could potentially be apparent during filming.  

 

If Ryan Gossling is being considered, he might make a good alternative CG.  I can't see him in that role because of his physical stature or his aesthetic look, but muscles can be added and hair can be dyed.  He certainly is a good actor, but at the end of the day, who knows what the agenda is for a movie studio. Those were just my thoughts on the subject. What do you think?  What does everyone think?

I've come to the conclusion that we love these characters too much to kill them.  The others went down quickly but this core group won't give up the ghost.

My thoughts on the "learning from mistakes line" have to do with their actions at this function compared to the past functions they attended together. At this function Eva stayed with Gideon when get was talking business instead of "running off". Also Gideon stayed with Eva when she was with her bosses. Then they danced together. No disappearing or searching for each other. And they communicated with each other when they did leave the other for something.

You make many good points.  Eva and Gideon have come a long way since they first met.  Each person is learning to deal with their emotional triggers and is learning to communicate with one another.

I was watching a TV program and it was reported that Matt Bomer is now the front runner for the role of Christian Grey.  I hope he gets the role.  He seems to have very good acting skills and may have more of the aesthetic look for CG role. 

I think that may be an initial reaction, but Cary is observant and I bet he will have noticed or will notice the positive changes in the relationship and interactions between Gideon and Eva. Also Cary has said he will support Eva's choices as long as she is happy.

Plus Cary l-o-v-e-s to be in on a secret, especially with his best friend

Charlie wasn't my choice for CG, but I think he can act and I was getting used to the idea of him as Christian. I'm not sure I buy the excuse the studio is trying to sell. I will admit to being anxious for the FSoG movie, but I am even more anxious to have Gideon on my TV once a week!

just some thoughts.....on page 348 of EWY....G and E are dancing at the function, and Eva is watching Cary dancing with the redhead...(wouldn't Gideon have recognized the girl if it was Anne)   then....he says "look at me" to Eva  she replies  "hi ace"  then he says "crossfire"   and she says " we are learning from our mistakes".  G replies "you read my mind"  ok.....what mistakes are they learning from? ( I have too much time on my hands from rereading the series)

 

then on page 355  it states that Gideon ended up on the phone....bet that is when he is making plans on going to San Diego with them....

 

any thoughts?

 

surprising that Charlie Hunan got out of FSOG....(didn't he have to sign a contract ?)  personally I was growing used to him playing the part and doing a good job

 

 

I was growing used to Charlie also.  I am way past FSOG because of CROSSFIRE, Gabriel books, and the THIS MAN series.

CH leaving the series may have had more to do with chemistry than fan opinion.  I would think that it would be one thing to go in and do a reading and then another thing altogether when they actually got into a BDSM scene.  There have been many movies that have had cast changes due to chemistry issues or because when said and done, the actors weren't convincing in their roles. 

 

Jmhope is correct that contracts are signed when a person accepts a role.  I could see "out-clauses" in said contracts if the actors were not able to fulfill a role or the studio didn't like the direction that the storyline was going in.
