I liked the Shadows Stalkers series. Maybe Razor's Edge & Blood and Roses were too short to my taste, but I appreciate Sylvia's synthesis skills.

Thank you so much for the links.  I tried my best to download the link, but I was unsuccessful.  I discovered that the Kindle apps. only apply to the U.S.  Canadian customers are not able access or download more than half of them.  I researched this after trying for the umpteenth time to download that app...sigh! 

 

If you like, I am more than happy to discuss all of the other books.  At this point I am at a loss as to how I would download Blood & Roses.  Maybe Sylvia will take pity on her Canadian fans and have the book printed...please, please...oh pretty please! 

 

 I don't believe it was revealed that Anne was Corrine's shrink. We are all speculating here...and I don't blame anyone...we are all trying to be patient & remain sane ourselves waiting for the darn book to be released.

Did I miss something? Everyone here is talking like Anne was Corinne's doctor. I don't remember that being anything more than speculation. Was that ever confirmed anywhere ??

 

 

I agree with you.  I don't remember it either and I am in the process of rereading.  In the middle of RIY.  I started to reread cause I thought I was missing something.  Will "revise and revisit" when the reread is complete.

It was never confirmed (i.e. out of the mouth of Sylvia herself or written anywhere).  This is all strictly speculation until we get a book in our hands that says that exact same thing.   

 

Thus far, there is absolutely no evidence to suggest that Anne Lucas was Corinne's doctor.

I just wanted to quickly confirm a couple of things:

 

1.  Is Deanna the same character in the Crossfire Series as the same Deanna in the Afterburn/Aftershock series?  Did Sylvia confirm this?

 

2.  Does Deanna know that there is a connection between Eva and Nathan and if she does, then who tipped her off?  Isn't Deanna supposed to be a gossip columnist (correct me if I am wrong)?  Why would she even be interested in Nathan's murder? 

 

If someone could just confirm those two points, it would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks in advance.

Re reading entwined with you for the un numbered amount of times and reading the comments here has got me thinking.

The sex tape is Brett and Eva . Brett cares for Eva he wants her back feels he should get a second chane with her.

Even after she said there was no chance He said "One time inside you and you’ll remember how it is between us.â€

So surely then he isn't stupid enough to think that eva would be happy about a sex tape of them getting out to the public.

That's one way of alienating her completely .

So how dosnt he know about this sex tape ? Is this revenge for Sam Yameria have Six ninths dumped him now they've made it big and signed with Vidal records no longer requiring him.

Which then questions Deanna how did she find out about it, and does she know Sam and is she behind the release of the sex tape? Will she want to see exactly how far Gideon will go to , to protect Eva to in turn see exactly how much Gideon loves Eva .

Oh the questions all toooooo many!!!

I read your posting and I agree.  You bring up so many good questions and those questions lead to more questions.  There are so many unanswered questions:

 

1.  If Deanna met Gideon at a Society Gala that she was supposed to be covering, wouldn't it be a little unprofessional to sleep with one of the people that you are supposed to be reporting about? 

 

2.  How would someone know to contact Deanna to give her the low-down dirt about Gideon and Eva.  It doesn't make sense to me, if someone could explain that would be greatly appreciated. 

 

3.  If Deanna was there as a guest at the Society Fundraiser (where she met Gideon), how deep are her family pockets?  Society functions are very expensive...

 

4.  Brett seemed thrilled about the release for the Golden video.  How could he not tell that Eva was less than thrilled about such a sexually charged video about his past relationship with Eva. 

 

5.  Does Brett know for sure about the sex tape with Eva or is this just speculation?  I haven't gone back to the books yet (in-depth) so I just want to make sure that I haven't confused anything. 

I have been thinking about Christopher Jr for a while.  It hit me the first time Eva approached Gideon's mother and his mother said "Christopher was there too".  I think there is more to this story.  Like Christopher was also abused along with G.  G said that Christopher started acting out at a certain age, which intimidated him. Maybe it was because Christopher was abused too.  Maybe it was Christopher's way of acting out from the abuse he might have gotten. 

 

Then I think about that G said he tried to reason with Christopher many times and in different ways in their adult life.  I think that Christopher may be mad at G because he didn't protect him (as G's little brother) in the past, because he found out who had abused them, because G had already dealt with who had abused them and now Christopher is ###### at G because he never got a chance to confront their abuser before he committed suicide. 

 

I also think Christopher and G were closer than they let on before and after the abuse but after G dealt with the abuser and Christopher had no part in confronting their demons that Christopher is now so confrontational to G about everything, including Corinne, etc.  That explains why Christopher would have anything to do with Corinne (because he was part of G's life and they were still on good standing), because he had a brotherly relationship and they were both dealing with the abuse before G fixed the issue (the suicide).

I read your comments and I think that your theories are just as plausible as everyone else.  We have been hotly debating for many months, whether Christopher Jr. was also abused, or walked in on Gideon's abuse or whether something else entirely different had been going on during that time. 

 

We have been biting fingernails, biding our time, and have been waiting patiently for a snippet or snapshot of the next book..sigh! 

I have dyscalculia (pretty much dyslexia with numbers) sorry if I make mistakes I noticed I've done it twice.

I agree.  I think the most Corinne can do is make Gideon feel bad that she committed suicide.  He does have a conscience and knows he used her to get rid of Nathan.  Anne, however, can reveal Gideon's secrets.  I believe I posted before that it is difficult for men to admit they were abused because the stigma of being raped/abused is much worse for men & boys than girls.  I  can see Anne getting the information from her husband, if she doesn't know already, and making it public.  She won't think before she leaps.  It will be far worse for a doctor to reveal confidential information and she will pay in the long run but it will be embarrassing for Gideon. 

 

If you think about it...before Eva there was a "familiar safety of the lives".  Gideon told Eva there weren't any reports of violence by him.  Now all the one-night-stands see that Gideon is willing to try for more and they are coming out of the woodwork.  Now they have to "fight for a future that suddenly seemed an impossible and hopeless dream".   

 

Gideon is still dealing with the knowledge that he killed a man, even if Nathan was a bad person, that knowledge still triggered Gideon's nighmares.  That is another fight our couple will have to wage to get to their HEA.

You make several interesting points.  You are correct, if Anne ever revealed  that Gideon had been sexually abused in the past, she would in effect be committing career suicide.  One would have to wonder if Gideon never revealed said information to Anne, then how did Anne obtain said information?  What did she think she would have to gain by revealing said information, etc.?

 

Anne's potential actions may have consequences on not only her, but her husband as well (if he revealed confidential patient information to Anne). 

IMO I think the most bitter enemy of all is Anne Lucas...I think Corinne's precarious mental status at the moment will prevent her from doing further damage but her suicide attempt is damaging enough to GidEva and if JFG stays with his wife I would say that "bitter enemy" would be a perfect description for him...

I agree Sscrph.  Other than trying to "guilt" Gideon, I am not sure what else Anne could possibly do...You bring up a good point about Jean Francois, it will be interesting to see what role, if any, he will play in the storyline.

I guess I have a different take on Deanna.  IMO she came after Gideon to get back at him for treating her so badly not because she can't handle a one-night stand.  She wanted to make him pay for treating her like nothing.  Deanna thought she found an ally with Eva because to all looking at the relationship, Gideon dumped her in a very public way.  

 

Deanna accepted Gideon's apology because she believes he was sincere.  I also think she like Eva and therefore let Gideon know that the video was up for grabs.  I'm not saying that Deanna isn't trying to turn Gideon's head, let's face it he's hot and wealthy.  After re-reading this several times, I want to believe that Deanna was giving Gideon more information about the video when Eva found her talking to him at the charity dinner. 

 

It would pay more in the long run if Deanna stays on Gideon's good side.  Gideon could be a good source for a freelance reporter in the future.  IMO Deanna is too smart not to use that connection.  If Deanna hurt Eva in anyway, she would be on Gideon's bad side.  My hope is that Deanna helps Gid/Eva fight the enemies.

You make several good points and I agree with your observations. 

 

You also make several valid observations about Deanna and her future interests.  I get the sense that Gideon is well prepared for Deanna and any antics she may be planning (if infact she is planning any).  A man like Gideon didn't become one of the wealthiest men by not anticipating his enemies moves (i.e. old saying...keep your friends close and your enemies closer).

 

It wouldn't be in Deanna's best interest to cross Gideon (no pun intended), but if she is a complete whack-job she may just commit career suicide...now we wait for the next  book. 

About Gideon and Deanna's past, I think he told Eva the whole truth about his side, which was it had been nothing more than a one-night-stand. Things changed as soon as he found out Deanna was going to try to make Eva collateral damage.  There probably is more going on in the background right now between Gideon and Deanna, new history, not old. New stuff he's trying to hide from Eva because he doesn't want Eva upset? Like maybe Deanna is digging around about Nathan and Gideon knows it? On Deana's side, I think she stayed obsessed the whole time, but what made her become a bunny-boiler was the former fiancée coming back. Even Eva went crazy when Corrine showed up.

I read your comments and your theory is interesting.  It doesn't seem to fit however with Gideon's past history.  Gideon had bump & grind partners, not girlfriends.  He didn't remain attached to anyone sexually.  The only person that he made any attempts with was Corinne.

 

So if Deanna was a good or at least half decent reporter, she would have been privy to that information.  I think Deanna knew the score when she got together with Gideon. 

 

I am not sure how Deanna would have uncovered the whole Nathan thing.  Thus far, there isn't any connection between Eva and Nathan and no one knows to look for a connection between the two characters.  Do you have a theory as to how Deanna would have been tipped off about that connection?
