Sylvia Day Posted July 21, 2004 Report Share Posted July 21, 2004 Okay, I just finished Devil Takes a Bride Ms. Foley has a way with description that transported me into the novel. The hero, Devlin, Lord Strathmore, is lucious and tortured and madly in love with the spunky heroine. You root for the couple throughout the entire novel and wish for their happiness. There's a bit of melodrama going on with his tortured past but the love story is so poignant (the hero cries in several scenes and yet remains unquestionably strong) that it makes the entire journey worth it.
