SPOILERS: Entwined with You Overall Discussion
Fayeth replied to LN Cronan's topic in The Crossfire Saga
I really hope that this doesn't come across wrong, but I am really tired of the teasers of teasers. I can't even worry about what she is teasing because I don't even know when we are going to get it.  I know that building anticipation is part of keeping fans on their toes and interested, but all the build up of anticipation seems to defeat the purpose. Phew.... -
Books as good as the Crossfire series

I would like to correct the information above. First I would like to say that I am a HUGE fan of Raine Miller's and enjoyed reading the Blackstone Affair books so much, that I went and read her historical pieces (or prequels, as they are mentioned above) which I also loved, even though historical pieces are not typically my favorites.  The 4th book in the Blackstone Affair is actually a standalone book and it is NOT The Muse. The 4th book is about Brynne and Ethan, but can be read by itself (meaning without having read the first three, which I still recommend to read so that you know the characters).  The Muse is actually the first of a two part series. In the Blackstone Affair we meet Ethan's cousin Ivan and Brynne's roommate Gabrielle. The Muse is a historical piece about Ivan's family the Rothvale's and then the next book (I do not believe it is titled yet) will be a modern piece about Ivan and Gabrielle.  I hope that helps clear up any confusion. Again though I STRONGLY recommend reading Raine's five books that are for sale. I would start with the Blackstone Affair (Naked, All In and Eyes Wide Open) and then read His Perfect Passion and The Undoing of Libertine. -

Thanks, that does sound really good, I think that I will have to order it. Is it a solo book or is there a previous book or a sequel? -

Julie,  I loved this book, I was late on the take to read this book too. I hope that you will read Jo's story, "Down London Road" and then Ellie's "Until Fountain Bridge." Ellie's story (I believe) was not released on paper, but it is really good. It is more or less a trip down memory lane, but it is still good. I am glad that you too decided to read Samantha Young's books. -

Insideofclouds,  I have heard a lot of people talk about the book Gone Girl, but no one has told me about the book or what kind of book it is or anthing. I don't want to ask you to give me a book report (unless you want to) but would love to hear a little about the book or at least what kind of book (romance, mystery, sci-fi, etc.) this book is. I have one friend who read it and all she would tell me is that it is nothing like FSOG, which really tells me nothing. I would love some info, thanks. -

Have a great vacation and get-a-away. It will give your brain a little bit of extra perspective when you pick the books up again and maybe you will find the answers to the many questions we all have.  Enjoy and relax -

I wanted comment on this, because I have been told by many that I am a very detail oriented person and reading is included in my detail orientedness. With that said I live, was born and raised in Portland, Oregon proper and have been to Seattle (and Vancouver), Washington more times than I can count.  I feel like E.L. did a really good job of accurately portraying and talking/writing about the pacific NW and to think that she had never been here prior to writing the books. There was only one geographical mistake that I picked up in the 4 times I read and at least that many times I listened to the audio book.  I will not comment on the writing because that is subjective. -

Sharon,  I previously had that problem and called them, they gave me a really easy solution and it has never been an issue since. Archive the pre-order and then Un-archive it. Either turn the Nook off (and then back on) when it is archived or right after you un-archive it and voila.  It is the same that you are supposed to do with your Kindle, my friend has a Kindle and they are supposed to fo something similar. Which Nook do you have?  I believe the downloading of the App is on the new ones, but not positive. -

Gigi and Sheens,  I saw the pictures, that I think, you are talking about. Sylvia was in a maxi-dress or so it looked and posing with other authors. What did people say to her? I feel like I am missing something. -

Tomorrow is my birthday and I am REALLY hoping that I get a new Nook. I have the original Nook Color and with the price drop of the 9 in Nook, I asked for it. I know that everyone feels strongly about whether to get a Nook, Kindle, Ipad or other e-reader, I think that they all have great features and most are all very similar. However since I already have a Nook, I wanted to be able to read all the books I already have so it seemed silly to get something different. Another thing I learned is that since the Nook takes part in Google Play (I think that is what it is called) you can download the Kindle app on the Nook, but Amazon doesn't allow you to download the Nook app from your Kindle.  Make the best choice for YOU. -

Sarah,  I agree no one knows where her formative years were spent or if it was only one place, I think we can all point to parts in the book where it sounds like it wasn't either NY or CA. The actual location is not that big of a deal, however what I am more interested in knowing is whether the reason we don't have answers. Is it because it really doesn't matter to their story and so Sylvia never included this background information because it was not important OR do we not know because it is so important and we just have not learned it because it plays an important role? -

Nathalia,  I posed this question a while ago and thought I would re-pose it now.  -Where was Eva born and raised? For some reason I always thought it was NY however she talks about being in NY and it being her adopted home. So if she was not born and raised in NY I would assume it would be CA, which is where her parents met. Although she doesn't talk much about her childhood it is made to sound like Victor was not around often and I am assuming it they lived in CA then she would have had a closer relationship with her Dad, including but not limited to when Nathan was raping her. So the question again is where was she raised and will we ever learn more about her childhood and relationships with her parents in her formative years?  Victor, after finding out about what Nathan did to Eva, in EWY even talks about how he should have fought harder to keep Eva with him. Again which makes us think that she was not in CA. -

I have NEVER read any fanfiction. Where/how do you find it? Is it anything worth reading? I am honestly not even sure I really know what it is, someone tried to explain it to me, but they made it sound like most were really bad. -

SME...  Thank you again for bringing up The Blackstone Affair, we have discussed it multiple times on here and I still cannot convince enough people how great Raine did with these books. So a funny story to share, I have a friend who is a Mom of 3 boys and far more "adventurous" than I am. She however has never read romance novels, I too am a newer reader to this genre, I started with FSOG last March and have been addicted since. Anyway I am always telling my friend about these books and so finally I convinced her to download the Nook app on her smart phone so that I could lend her some books. The first two books were Naked and All is (the first two in The Blackstone Affair) and she told me that she has never blushed as much as she did reading the books. I guess my "adventurous" friend might be so much after all. -

Gigi,  As always thank you for your response. I think that Martin is a good guy and I hope that I am not wrong. I am concerned about who this Michael guy is. You are right about Daphne too, although I had not thought about that. She could be making this all up. I hope that Lacey and Megumi are not both in trouble, being sick is not that big of a deal, however not returning the calls is what I think has everyone's detective skills working hard. -

You should read On Dublin Street.  I really liked it, but maybe it is because I read all three books by Samantha Young in the order they were released. Typically in series like hers where it starts with one set of characters in the first book and each subsequent book is about different charcters we were previously introduced to, I typically like the first set the best and want to read more about them, but that could just be a quirk of mine.  -

I do not neccesarily think that Monica would say anything if the cheating with Victor was truly a one time thing, which I REALLY hope that it was. I think for her it was a temporary lapse in judgement, which I really hate that happened.  I think that something like that, their marriage could survive. I am not sure if their marriage (or my heart) could handle if it happened again. -

I have seen a few posts in the past few days about Martin (Marty) and Michael and wondering if the two are one in the same. I think it is pretty safe to say that they are not.  However the question that I want to ask is...do you think that Michael is a new character in the book or do you think that he is something that we have previously been introduced to, as either someone nameless or someone we have been introduced to as a different name?  There is one character that we know very little about and I would be interested in learning more about and that is Gideon's assistant Scott. He seems like a really great person and assistant, but I feel like I would like to know more about him.  Also, are we all convinced that something "bad" has happened to Megumi and that she is not sick? If so, are we convinced that it is of Michael's doing? -
