 I had those exact thoughts last night when I was reading again (for the umpteenth time).

 I agree-it did seem like she was calling some of the shots desperately trying to move the relationship to get down the aisle.  p.s. I don't think I've ever met a man who had to be talked into getting a blow job

 I was thinking Deanna was looking for revenge. Let's hope Gid's apology and the promise of wedding exclusives makes her back down and GO AWAY. At least we might be able to get rid of one crazed woman!

  I've been trying to remain calm with the whole Megumi situation. I'm going with maybe Michael cared for her more than he wanted to admit to himself and then when she broke up with him he decided to take her away and profess his love. No phones etc. Kind of like Gid did with Eva in the Outer Banks.

Well, I've convinced myself that Clancy definitely had something to do with the Russian Mob guy. Towards the end of Chapt.17, after Eva had her 'meet & greet' with Giroux and she's getting into the car to go to lunch with her mom, she has a short conversation with Clancy. When he asks how she is she says, "Hanging in there." He says, "You'll be all right." She felt he sounded pretty confident about that. Those words made me feel like he was telling her that he took care of things and not to worry. We'll see............
