Hi Everyone,  Can someone help me understand in Chapter 2 where Eva is talking to Christine Leaman, she is thinking "I winced inwardly. Of course she'd think I would recommend my employer to my boyfriend, because she'd assume Gideon and I had been dating at least long enough to make an engagement plausible. Telling her I had been with Waters Field & Leaman longer than I'd been with Gideon, when I had been employed there only a couple of months, would open up speculation I didn't want floating around."  I feel stupid for asking but I am kind of confuse as to what she is saying, can someone help me out? and Thanks!

I wonder if the reveal is that Chapter 1 is from Gideon's POV. That would be sooo awesome!

Would anyone be able to explain in Chapter 17 what is meant when Eva and Gideon are discussing the D/S aspect of their relationship in the room he had made for her and this exchange takes place: Â The edginess and sharpened focus I'd detected not long ago abruptly made sense to me-he wasn't restraining his force of will anymore. The tremendous power coiled inside him was now directed at me like a blast of heat. Â "I've told you before, " he said huskily. "I'll take you however I can get you." Â "Whatever. Don't think I don't know you're topping from the bottom." Â I try to understand and make sense of it but I don't want to read into it the wrong way. Can someone help me understand? I would appreciate it

Hi Everyone, I am new to this. I have read both books. Would someone be able to help me out with the scene when Gideon and Eva were at Dr Peterson's office and Gideon pulled Eva in the hallway and gave her a look, what did that look mean? I believe it was at the end of Chapter 8.
