Well ladies! It's brunette weekend. Our favourite lady( cough, she ain't no lady), makes her appearance tonight. What did she do as soon as Eva was introduced to her, she whisked Gideon away to meet someone. How rude! Oh Gideon Gideon Gideon, when will you learn. Shaking head here.! Magdalene became Eva's ally tonight, apologising for ambushing her at the advocacy dinner. Corrine went in for the killer punch on Eva, blindsiding her, with her subtle comments. Cowbag!

So keen this morning I posted on the wrong thread. Heyho!

Well ladies It's brunette weekend!

Just re read chapter one again! The snapshot of a mans hand (Gideons) grasping the sheets is in chapter 2 at the end when they are making love. :)

I can live with that theory. But Monica will probably do her woe is me impression. She is all about image. Then Eva will find out and feel guilty some more. Poor girl can she ever escape?

Just realised reading through the snippets again, that snippet 3 appeared in the first half of chapter 2. "Honestly, Gideon Cross had been designed to f* ck a woman right out of her mind"

This murder was premeditated. Although it didn't quite go according to plan, eh Gideon! Going on his behaviour towards Eva, and dare I say it, Corrine. IT SUCKED BIG TIME! I suppose you could argue, he only had hours to put it in motion, commencing that Monday. Every character in this book was being hurt somehow, because of some deranged SOB. Eva's pain being the greatest along with Gideons. They truly are mirror images.

He probably died a little more inside, knowing that the hurt he was inflicting on Eva, he was feeling himself. Thinking can this get any worse?

From Gideons pov. The last line said he would treasure her until his last breath. He has to believe in himself, understand that what they have is precious, and he is deserving of her love. Entrusting himself to her will take their love to a whole new level for him.

I'm sure that snippet 4 referring to him micromanaging her, for her own safety and his self preservation and sanity will come up in this chapter as part of their talk. Everything needs to be aired, to allow them to move on. No more secrets.

Would it be safer for Eva to go to Gideons place? Surely he can smuggle her in somehow. Is it possible the cops would put a tail on her, cause I'm sure Gideon still has one on Eva for her protection.

Perhaps a four hour gym session first!

Well for a start, Eva's going to be walking around with a big grin on her face after her s* xy time with Gideon! But she has reservations. She has to learn to trust him again. I think she will throw herself into her work, and have a carefully worded chat with Cary, about Deanna. Cary needs to know that she approached Eva. I've forgotten what day of the week we are on. If its Wednesday, it's normally lunch with Mark and Steven. They will lift her spirits. :)

Perhaps we should move on from this. She's probably sick to the back teeth oh it all! Wished I'd never made the stupid joke now. :(

Eva said to Gideon after the Corrine dinner debacle, that women thought of him as the ultimate prize. I think this is how he views Eva. There is no one better than her. She is his ultimate prize.

Bless her, her hands were tied. Probably the less said about it the better.

They love us. We love Sylvia for giving us Gideon and Eva. Just hoping Penquin let's her come to England, she would be treated like royalty by her fans. Got to give it to them, apart from their blunder over the dates, their promoting of the book is brilliant. Sylvia's Facebook page, these pages, have kept us going, the publicity, and we will do it all again, waiting patiently for book 4 & 5 Actually I now know Gideon meant, when he said he felt like he was under siege and can't concentrate, I think we all feel the same. Every spare minute lately I think of these two.

I wonder if Angus worked for Vidal as bodyguard/ chauffeur before he married Elizabeth? How much could he have told Gideon about Vidal?

You thought the same as me. This will only play out though if Victor is told about Eva's rape. Then as a cop events will fall into place. This waiting is mental cruelty, can we sue the publishers? Lol

Eva seriously needs to tell Cary something, only from the point that it will put their friendship in peril if he spills the beans about Gideon, thus hurting Eva. She doesn't want to become piggy in the middle. She loves both these guys. It would devastate her, to have to make a choice.

We have assumed Angus's role to Gideon is a father figure as well as a confidante, and bodyguard. Gideons trust in Angus is obvious, but how much has Gideon told him about his nightmares I wonder?

This chapter was heartbreaking. I will admit to shedding a tear. I could feel his pain and sorrow, his anger at hurting Eva. This strong, dominant , wilful force of nature as Eva referred to him, reduced to a desolate wreck, for doing something which is out of his control, being unconscious. They are so passionate about each other, that they commit acts that are normally alien to them. When Eva slapped his face, now she had witnessed his anger. ." This time I answered him the way I couldn't before. Let's forget," I breathed into his mouth" make us forget" He took me back down to the floor, where he buried his face in my throat and cried till dawn. So sad.

I hope, although Victor has always been there for Eva, he will understand without actually being told. Surely the oath he took as a cop would put him in a compromising situation? Surely Eva could drip feed Cary info, stating that Corrine is history, that they are going to give it another go, but not tell anyone, lying low for now with no public outings. She has to tell cary something if Gideon and her are sneaking around each others apartments.
