I agree, to some extent. This is a tough one. Its almost like a grieving process. anger, devastation, healing. Eva would be mortified that her dad knows, as she is still his little girl. Im thinking if they did go back, and Gideon definitely needs to carry on therapy, the good doctor might just twig what Gideon did. He was very good at picking up on clues, that's what makes him a good doctor. Although sharing his past with Eva, might help to some extent, he still needs medical help.

Gideon knew he had to be guided by Eva's reactions to him being there. After all he had put her through, destroying all that trust, using her love against her. Was he scared also that he could have triggered her in some way, regarding Nathan's death? He knew he had to give up some control, to make her realise he was not a threat to her, that he would never hurt or harm her again.
