    Hi Golfergirl, 

    I had a quick question please.  Would Corinne taking psychiatric meds be responsible for her miscarriage or would the intervention treatment (administered by the emergency department) be responsible for Corinne's miscarriage?  Your help with this question is greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

    Appropriately dosed psychiatric meds are fine throughout pregnancy,,there are certainly some that we don't give during pregnancy, and usually women who are on those and then find out early that they are pregnant are fine, we switch them over and there is no sequelae,,,however, OD'ing on meds (who knows what she took) to make you unconscious doesn't sound like regular anti-depression meds and if it was enough to make her unconscious with low blood pressure then yes the lack of oxygen perfusion to the placenta and fetus can cause a miscarriage...my take is that she purposely tried to kill herself and the baby (ive always thought she knew she was pregnant) once JFG told her Gideon was engaged and her ply wouldnt work...

    I do ;)

     

    Not for an instant am I suggesting Corrine's dirty trick would work. It was never going to work anyway, because Gideon wasn't ever going to sleep with her ever again.

     

    I'm just suggesting that she suddenly found herself with an unplanned pregnancy smack dab in the middle of her already having started the process of divorcing Jean-Francois and already was emotionally manipulating Gideon via guilt trips over the phone. All of a sudden, she was in a bind -- and she cooked up some crazy scheme to use the pregnancy to trap Gideon.

     

    I don't think she planned to carry the pregnancy to term anyway -- she was going to terminate and lie to him about miscarrying. But let's say she did go through with it, and because the baby was born "too soon" Gideon would know it wasn't his, and a test would prove it ....

     

    .... well Crazy Corrine was probably banking on the fact that by then, she already would be married to Gideon, and Gideon would stay with her, becoming the child's stepfather.

     

    The whole goal was to get Gideon to the altar before he could find out the truth there's no way he was the one who impregnated Corrine. Kah-ray-zee lady.

    I'd love it if Angus was the one who actually arranged the bracelet, either on his own or in cooperation with Clancy. I'm certain it has to be one of them on his own or them cooperating together. There has to be a reason why Sylvia inserted into the story that Angus is former British foreign intelligence and Clancy has a brother in the FBI. Makes it possible that either one of them or both might have inside knowledge about the Russian Mafia.

     

    I really hope T.w.a.t. is lying about being pregnant. Because she and Cary are doomed to fail, but he'll never be free of her if she has a baby and he's the baby-papa.

    I hate being the nosy ob gyn here but you know we often do paternity testing....

    Here are my theories

     At the dinner Gideon told Deanna, hang tight, I will give you something by Saturday at the latest that you will appreciate. 

    Book 4  I have 22 chapters and I know I missed a lot but I'm at work and had to do this on my break.  I'll think about it more when I get home.

     

    1. Gideon & Eva sex Friday morning.
    2. Gideon & Eva talk about everything that happened at the dinner including Anne, Monica & Liz.  Gideon explains his concerns about the video and Deanna.  He explains that he is going to send Deanna to the Caribbean to investigate a recent marriage.  He tells Eva that he will not wait until next June to let everyone know that she is his wife.   Eva is good with the decision but asks that she have enough time to talk to Victor and Monica before the pictures are published.
    3. Eva & Cary leave (on a commercial flight) for SD with an angry Gideon left behind.  Victor picks them up at the airport and Eva tells him about the recent events in her life. Gideon follows in his private plane because he knows Brett is going to be there.  A little argument where he admits he trusts Eva but he is worried about the video.  Sex in SD.
    4. Eva meets with Dr. Travis and they talk about Gideon & Brett.   Eva tells Dr. T about the sex video and he reminds her that Brett wasn’t a good relationship for her.  She understands after their talk that Brett won’t settle for being friends.  Cary’s talk with Dr. T. who helps him evaluate the situation he is in and the person he really loves.  Cary realizes that he is intentionally sabotaging his relationship with Trey and agrees that it is time to tell Trey everything past & present.  Victor, Gideon, Eva & Cary have a dinner that is more pleasant than the last dinner they had together.
    5. Brett sees the wedding pictures on Sunday and is angry that Eva didn’t give him a second chance.  He comes at her because he wants her to feel him “one more time inside herâ€.  Eva takes him down with her Krav Maga skills just as Gideon walks (breaks) in.  Eva tells him to never contact her again. 
    6. Eva & Gideon get the sex tape and burn it.  Sex, really hot victory sex.
    7. Return to NY together on Gideon’s plane.  Eva asks Gideon for help setting up her foundation.  Cary is worried about his talk with Trey and Tat.  Let’s not forget more plane sex.  (Love it.)  Cary, Eva & Gideon decide on the changes to the penthouse & finalize the plans. 
    8. Lots of congrats at work for Eva.  Gideon & Eva send notes back and forth. Mark & Eva have a lunch.  Mark and Eva have a new Crossfire account to work on.  Gideon & Eva go back to couples therapy.
    9. Chris Jr. is angry & tries to sabotage Gideon.  Chris Jr. has a major screaming match with Gideon/Eva & Liz because he thought he was going to get the sex tape and embarrass Gideon & Eva. 
    10. Chris Jr. is the trigger that starts Gideon & Eva & Liz talking about the abuse.  Elizabeth is devastated and admits she was too into her own issues and chose to believe what the doctors said instead of seeing what was right in front of her eyes in her son’s hurt and anguish.  There are still bad feelings but they agree to get together for a dinner at Eva’s one night next week.
    11. Elizabeth seeks help from Dr. Demented and Gideon finds out.  Gideon& Eva meet with Deanne to set her on a path to expose the Dr. D and her crazy behavior.
    12. Gideon has a bad nightmare.  Eva is there to comfort him.  They talk about the past more and Gideon tells Eva what Angus did for him.  The next day they go to Tableau One for dinner.  Paparazzi are all over them. 
    13. With Deanna’s help Gideon finds out what Dr. Demented did to Corinne and Dr. D. now treating his mother.  Gideon vows to strike back.  Eva & Gideon talk more about his past.  (Comfort sex follows)
    14. Gideon & Jean Francois join forces and take Dr. D. on. JFG realizes that it was Lucas who was behind Corinne’s drastic personality change not Gideon.  Gideon & JFG hit both doctors with multiple malpractice suits. 
    15. Working with JFG helps Gideon get over his guilt about using Corinne.  Corinne sees how much her husband loves her and wants to work on their marriage.  While not really friends the Giroux’s acknowledge Gideon’s help and leave on a jet plane to France and begin again.
    16. Cary tells Trey about the baby.  Trey tells Cary that he will help him raise his child. Cary has lunch with Eva to talk about his life with Trey.  He invites Trey to live with him at the new apartment.  Gideon/Eva & Martin & Lacey double date at one of Gideon's clubs.  (Obviously sex here.)
    17. Cary confronts Tat and tells her he will support his child but he is cutting it off with her.  Tat tells Cary it was a false alarm and she isn’t pregnant.  She does something to hurt Gideon & Eva but I’m not sure what yet.  Shower sex after the confrontation.
    18. Eva finds out from Megumi that Michael is an abuser and beats her.  Eva asks Gideon for help but Michael shows up one day when Eva and Megumi are off to lunch.  Krav Maga to the rescue.  Angus jumps out of the car & Gideon races out to help them.
    19. Gideon finds out that Clancy & his brother gave him the get out of free card.  He has questions but they have to wait until book 5.
    20. Boss at W L & F want to promote Eva over Mark.  She is angry and talks to Gideon.  Mark and Eva go to work for Gideon.  In the new positions Mark is still in advertising & Eva is in crisis management but they will still work together on some accounts.
    21. Gideon / Eva organize a benefit for Eva’s new foundation.  Cary is put to work on the project and they develop and shoot ads.  Cary hires Trey as photographer.
    22. Sex in Eva’s new office.  Then more sex at home.  Graves makes another appearance at Parker’s studio.  More discussion of Nathan’s death (to be continued in book 5.)  Eva asks Monica’s again about her past issues but she still won’t talk about them.  Gideon tells Eva what he found and they decide to discuss what to do after they have their end of book sex. 

     

    • I only have 22 chapters but I was doing this between my real  job.
    • The outstanding Vidal issues will be resolved in book 5 before the HEA.

    This will move into Book 5.  I loved this project.  I know I'm way off but hey it was fun.

    OMG Sylvia should hire you as an assistant writer...I don't have time to read this carefully but man you are good, I'll save it for later!!!!!!

    I'm trying to build a case for Corrine's unplanned pregnancy being the thing that made her suddenly desperate to get Gideon back, so desperate she practically decided in the middle of the night to get to New York ASAP. So a blood test would be needed in order to determine how far along she was, but the home test would be accurate that she was "in the family way."

     

    How did she end up pregnant anyway if she and Jean-Francois were getting a divorce? My theory is: A last ditch effort on his part to try to stop the divorce from moving forward turned into Corrine gaving him a mercy f***

     

    Maybe by doing the math of when was the last time she had sex with JFG coupled with having just missed her second menstrual period in a row might have made her count on her fingers and figure out she was in her second month?

    You know as I was first reading Entwined it never entered my mind that that's why Corrine booked it to NYC very fast...I think this is a very good theory...but clearly she needed to get Gideon in the sack very very fast...

     

    truth be told I think with our accurate dating by ultrasound she couldnt have pulled it for long...I have a wheel that dates day of conception pretty accurately,,,she'd still be 5-6 weeks off,,,

     

    and I agree I think it was a last ditch at saving the marriage, likely provoked by JFG rather than Corrine...

    I took a pregnancy test at 4 weeks pregnant at about 4am in the morning and it showed positive straight away (I couldn't sleep for peeing and I thought that could be why I was right!! :) ) so it is possible.

    Also whoever said about Ann Lucas and doing a test on corrine it is possible she could have determined how far along she was. In Britain we have clear blue tests that displays how far along you are, only up until 6/7 weeks but it could be a part of the story!

    I dont know too many psychiatrists that get pregnancy tests on patients...they tell you to go to your ob/gyn...certainly we have different psychiatric meds we use in pregnancy that's why its important for pts on meds to know early on if they are pregnant...

    Question, resident ob/gyn expert golfergirl: If Corrine took a home pregnancy test at around 3 a.m., would that be too early in the morning to get an accurate result? Would around 5-6 weeks be too early to get a positive result, period.

     

    The night Corrine called Gideon "in crisis" to suddenly announce she was moving back to New York, and had even booked a flight -- would Gideon be on hand at when she arrived to help her settle in ....

     

    • She called him from France on a Saturday night, catching him while he was at the advocacy center fundraiser/first date with Eva.
    • Gideon definitely picked up Eva at 7 p.m. -- earlier in the day, he told her to be ready at that time.
    • I'm guessing the dinner itself started at 8 p.m. Gideon gave the dinner speech.
    • I'm guessing Corrine's call came in around 9 p.m.
    • Based on the fact Corrine was in her fourth month at the end of Entwined, I'm making a conservative guess of 5-6 weeks when she called Gideon -- right on schedule for having missed a second period in a row.
    • 9 p.m. New York time is 3 a.m. in France.

     

    Something made Corrine suddenly start chasing Gideon in person, and that was not Eva -- Corrine didn't even know about Eva's existence when she booked her flight and called Gideon. It wasn't until after Gideon bailed out on Eva and left so that he could talk to Corrine at length did Corrine find out about Eva.

     

    Home pregnancy test positive result = get on the next plane to New York in order to get Gideon into bed ASAP so that she can pass off the baby as his long enough to ensure he would marry her the instant her already-filed divorce became final?

    No the urine pregnancy tests are very accurate;;;you don't need much pregnancy hormone to have it be positive,,,but it doesnt tell you how far along you are or if the pregnancy is working out or not

     

    for that we usually first do blood numbers (called Beta hCG) and if there is a question that its too low or not rising appropriately we get a sonogram which is the most accurate in terms of dating and/or if its working out (you can still have a positive urine pregnancy test and have the pregnancy not working out)

     

    so getting back to our corrine question, if she was 5-6 weeks pregnant there in France a urine pregnancy test would be positive immediately then and there...time for her to head into the trap Gideon plan...

    Well I just re read the last chapter.

    Anne Lucas, Deanna Johnson, and the SD trip are going to be a problem. You know my thoughts on Anne Lucas, from this mornings posts, Deanna wants in Gideons boxers, and Brett's in SD, wanting in Eva's panties. These will fill up book 4 on their own. Oh yeah! There's the police too! Phew!

    OK I'm ready,,,let Sylvia let it rip...

    Im afraid that after the mega success of superman our favorite Gideon is out of the running....can't imagine he'll do a TV series with 2 or 3 more superman movies to go...ok ladies who is our backup actors,,,although we will always still love Henry best and thanks for all the pics,,,makes my day better,,,hot hot hot

    where were you when I was 19 and diagnosed with severe endometriosis so much so I had to have full hysorectomy, I could have asked your advice LOL :)

    A lot is going to depend on just how huge a hit Man of Steel becomes. The film opened nationwide in the United States today, and the most important numbers will be the first weekend box office receipts (i.e. how much money does it rake in for ticket sales opening weekend.) 

     

    If it turns out to be THE blockbuster movie of the summer, Henry Cavill's star power will rise considerably, and thus competition for his next project will be fierce. Lionsgate might end up having to fight other film/TV studios over him, and certainly he'll be a lot more expensive to sign.

     

    P.S. I'm going to see the film on Sunday. SQUEEEEEEEEEEEE

     

    SO far its predicted to be a huge hit here and my  (young n male) office guy says that they are already in talks for part 2 of man of steel, (he went to the 1215 am screening and said it was crowded)  so I bet Henry will be way booked...boo hoo
