This was a question by someone on Facebook and I thought it was quite relevant  We have no background on Monicas family, I think there are reasons she never shared with Eva for her total lack of explanation, Monica and Eva are almost russian blonde in looks, even Gideon has stated sometimes Eva was like an Ice Princess...I believe that Monica kept her child against her families expectations because she wanted Victors child...but Victor already had plans to be a cop, or was in police academy.....I think Monicas family has ties to Russian Mob...Monica grew up secured with wealth, when she was disowned, she did what she could to secure safety for herself and Eva....stayed clear of Victor even tho she wanted him....she reconized Victor was a GOOD guy, knew she by association could hurt him, took great pains to keep herself clear, then there is always the possibility Monicas family threatened Victor, sooo again Monica established a safety net of wealth for herself and Eva so that she could combat them if they TRIED later to threaten herself, or her daughter. She has married wealthy men, all with protection, and made Evas protection an obession....of course the Nathan thing gave her more cause to become obessed...so she did. But this is just my speculation.

I hope so too but I think it will take a lot of talking and I don't think she will accept what has happened to Gideon easily

I could see this as Gideon, getting in and out of Eva's building up until Entwined came out and how he would look getting to Nathan Â

I know but we shall just have to wait until book 4 which is frustrating, hopefully we shall get snippets soon which may help or confuse us even more LOL

yes he does and I think it will make all the difference to him knowing that Ireland loves him unconditionally

I am hoping the Mafia issue like you said will be dealt with in a couple of paragraphs or at least half of a chapter so it does not go on and on and I am sure that in book 4 Gideon will deal with lots of his issues to get to that HEA which I think will be the end of book 5, I would love the wedding in book 4 but something makes me feel it will be nearer the end of the last book.Â

it was the way SD described him with the Latin looks and hotness, and Benjamin Bratt to me is Hot for an older gentleman and such a good actor and he has done police rolls so I thought he would be ideal.Â

I agree, you think you have it sussed then Sylvia puts something else in and you get moved around with your thoughts LOL.. Â The mob thing made me wonder as well but I have this funny feeling that it is not going to be as drastic as we are thinking, I think we will be right about Clancy or Clancy/Angus together and not such a big deal. Â I personally don't think anyone will get shot, if you go down that road you could end up with 7 books as SD has said that book 4 is going to deal with a lot of Gideon issues so I am thinking the Mob/mafia thing will not be a bid deal and the case will be closed for good, end of that story. Â I could be wrong I am known to be LOL

I agree, Ireland adores Gideon and I think you are right, I thinks he will show Gideon how much she loves him by sticking by him and helping him realise he is loved and hopefully that will start the ball rolling with the rest of the family, if not I think Ireland will still stick with her brother no matter what happens.

I think it is pride and denial actually and the fact that she thinks that if she does admit to this it is like admitting she was faulty in her raising of her son, I think as well a lot of it is shame in not recognising her son had problemsÂ

It could be a bit of both actually GiGi the more I think about it

I loved how private this wedding was for them, just the two of them which was special for both of them  I think this would have been a really romantic guesture, maybe down on one knee
