I found it difficult to read these chapters. It was definitely rough and more than a few times I had to remind myself that I was reading Gideon's POV. 

 

I have a feeling this book is gonna do us in!

Hello ladies, dropping by to say hello! It's been a while since I've been on. Seeing what's going on lately is kinda sad. We are a very positive bunch and in a sense attacking the one person whose work we are here to celebrate goes against the purpose of this forum.

I want CBY just as much as the next person but all we can do is wait.... Our patience will be rewarded with Gideon lol

I wish I could post the whole book, so we could talk about it!!

another re-read is fine, but I have read all 3 books so many times that I think I have them memorized!!! Can't wait for CBY and of course the untitled book #5 Happy Weekend to all

 

I tend to not re-read more than 2 times so by the time CBY comes out I would have to read EWY again... I never even finished the 2nd re-read of EWY because I got busy with school! 

I'm wondering who would be interested in a re-read of EWY before CBY comes out?

 

I'll do a re-read as well! I was going to suggest it on FB

They sure can! But like i've said before I would prefer if they don't do a huge wedding and I prefer we never find out what their vows were. Just a personal preference but of course I wont mind reading if they do the NYC wedding! lol

I was referring to when he was abused. He asked his mother to help him and as you mentioned she did not believe him and that most certainly lead to many of his demons.

 

Yes he went to her for help because she's his mother!! She was the person in his life that was supposed to look out for him. She could have had an influence on him but seeing how he interacts with her it looks like a negative influence. Any child goes to their parents for help, even if they don't have a strong relationship. She was supposed to protect him but didn't. That's where she fell short. 

I have to disagree with you there.

Angus has stepped up to the plate for Gideon.

He has been with Gideon for many years, he has been Gideons father figure.

That's why he was at the wedding.

Angus is the only man Gideon trusts with his life and the only one who he could remotely consider a father like figure. 

Hey fluffy. Once he starts to acknowledge his past, which he has started to do with Eva, it will be like opening Pandora's box. Him talking about Hugh and his abuse was a huge step for him. . All h.e.l.l will be unleashed.

 

I completely agree julie! I know we will find out things we could have never imagined. SD does that to us, gives us a bone and we take it somewhere then when the book comes out we are completely blinded and shocked and wayyyy off on our theories lol! 

Do you think he is aware?

In the book when he talks about being left, Gideon is speaking about Hugh's son not himself.  Eva says he is talking about himself as well.

 

I think he doesn't want to acknowledge it. This is a man that for so many years has completely disregarded his demons. It's going to be a while before he acknowledges things that he for so long has suppressed.

Gideon also seems to have abandonment issues because of his father's suicide.  Most of the attention has been paid to his nightmare but what about his feeling of being left by his dad.  We know he wants to be a father (in the prenup).

 

Well of course he is going to have those issues. As a boy he was left to be with psychiatrist while his mom was still reeling from his father's death. So in a sense he was left by both. 

Can I just say, this is a book you are talking about. Made up characters, and story by an exceptional author.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions and theories. It is not meant to be taken seriously.

Recent postings seem to have got a bit out of hand.

I think that it's much easier to shutdown and avoid. Gideon's past is painful and he's going to be hurting and he doesn't want anyone to see him like that. Obviously Eva loves him and wants to help him, but will he let her? Does he trust her enough to let her completely in?

 

I agree, this is gonna be Eva's biggest struggle, having Gideon let her "in" so he can finally be at peace with his demons and not just suppress them. Once he's at peace then he can devote ALL of himself to Eva and their relationship.

Hello ladies, I saw a comment someone made on Sylvias facebook that both book 4and5 are done, that she is just waiting for the release dates from her publisher, did anybody else hear this??

 

Hello all... maybe she's been taking so long to release anything CBY related because she wanted to wrap up the series on her end and be done with it and THEN begin giving us more info and snippets. She has said before that she wants to finish the series quickly too because she has other projects she is under contract to write...
