I do not see either of them cheating.  Maybe it is wishful thinking but I just cannot see it.  They are both consumed with each other.

 

I hope Sylvia ties up some loose ends.  Right now there just seems to be too many.  I know she has another book to go but some of this crap needs to go.  Like Tat.  Sick of Corinne.  Brett just makes no sense to me at all.  I almost feel that he is using Eva to make his song and CD a success.  Haven't read back too far but could he be creepy enough to have encouraged that sex tape to be around to help GOLDEN?  

 

BB is perfect for Victor.  

Just saw MAN OF STEEL.  OMG Henry is so f*cking hot it is amazing.  Even a character in the movie says how hot he is.  And he did a fine job with kissing.  Whew.  I came home and turned on my air conditioning.  

 

I have reread FSOG a couple of times.  But I love Gideon and Eva a lot more.  I guess I still have issues with the BDSM stuff.  And Gideon just stole my heart.

Reading all these theories is making me nuts so I decided while at the doctor's office with nothing to read, that I would begin to reread starting with BTY on my iphone and by Chapter 2 I was reminded why I became obsessed with Gideon.  OMG is all I need to say.  I want to retrace these things discussed so I can see where Sylvia is going when she says we will understand Gideon better after the last 2 books. In the beginning he seems very straight forward and Eva does not.  I am finding it interesting how Sylvia unfolds these 2 people.  I thinks she is brilliant at it.

 

Which reminds me of my main point.  I wonder if she reads all of the theories here.  I would love to know what she thinks.  Maybe after she is done with the series she would share.  But you ladies are amazing with your analytical skills.  

I hate the Russian mob thing.  I hope it is dealt with quickly and goes away.  They are evil and violent people.  I don't want that in this story.  There are plenty of plot twists to deal with.  Violence of that nature makes me physically ill.

 

However it sure does make sense that Monica would need money so badly for some reason.  I just think that husband #2 having gambling debts could be easily taken care of by Stanton.  It isn't like she hid the fact he was a gambler.  I really have no idea why the mob would be involved unless Nathan got his sorry Arse mixed up with them.  Or, since Gideon is into casinos, maybe there is something there?

 

I don't know if I can wait for Dec.  Maybe Oct.?  And we sure could use Lionsgate hurrying up with the TV thing.  OMG will that be fun.

I taught for 36 years and looking for signs of child abuse was part of the job.  We worked closely with the guidance counselor and could be prosecuted if we did not report abuse if we felt it was there.  The major problem we had was that if parents got wind of what we wanted to do, they pulled their kid from the school and moved on.  I was shocked at the number of parents who either knew of the abuse and chose to ignore it or just chose to ignore the abuse out of denial.  We even had an 8 year old who was pregnant and the mother took her out of the system all together.  Can you imagine?  So, I have absolutely no empathy for anyone who does not believe their child.  None.  I have seen the results when a kid cannot trust those around them who are supposed to be their safe place.  For that reason, I hate , hate, hate Elizabeth and everyone around her.  She is just an Arse to me.  I do not hate Monica in the same way.  She did what she had to do when she had clear facts.  I feel sorry for her and I hope to God we find out what drives her to need money so badly.  But she was not a bad mother.  I also wonder if she was so caught up in being a trophy wife that she didn't see the signs.  I do not let her off the hook entirely.  But at least she did believe her child and took the appropriate measures to keep Eva safe after.

 

Loved that interview.  Love Sylvia.  Her books, and I have read most of them, are not just erotica.  Every book has interesting characters, although nothing compares to this Crossfire series.  OMG, I love G and E.  It seems that Sylvia feels Eva is in a really good and strong place and has resolved a whole lot of her issues.  I still think she has some, but we will see.

 

I am fascinated about the Megumi theory.  I really hadn't given that a thought but it sure is something to think about.  Why is she not returning Eva's calls?  

 

Tat is just a self absorbed Arse.  I do not believe for one minute she is pregnant with Cary's child.  You can add her to the list of characters I dislike.  I want Cary and Trey to make it.

I understood this as gideon promising Deanna the first pictures of there upcoming wedding nut the secret wedding that took place on the beach ...?

I couldn't picture gideon telling Deanna they were already married or sharing with the world ( especially Eva's friends n family) they ran off an got married ... I assumed he was referring to her getting first dibs on the upcoming wedding?

I totally agree with this.  I feel the private wedding will remain private.  At least for now.

 

These pix of Henry are something else.  I have seen him as CG on their fan page and here as Gideon.  Then I read somewhere that love scenes make him uncomfortable.  He is just the hottest man I have seen in forever.  This is funny because I told my friends that my husband and I are going to see SUPERMAN this weekend.  They all know how I feel about violence on TV and the screen so the response I got------OK, so why are you seeing this movie?  I was honest.  A lot of eye rolling.  Hey, I may be almost 64 but I ain't dead yet.

LN-  I am not sure that Deanna is really dealt with at all.   hath no fury, etc.  Anne is a very scary woman also.  I do believe Eva has her hands full with all of these women.  

 

I cannot wait for Book 4.  There are just too many loose ends here.  I am hoping Sylvia ties up some in 4 even though I am sure we will be dying until 5.

I don’t think that the case is cold.  I don’t think for a second that Detective Graves would tell Eva or Gideon the truth.  As it has been said, time and time again, detectives lie. They will do or say whatever is necessary (within the limits of the law and sometimes not) to catch their criminal.  I think that we may be in for some serious plot twists in the next book. 

Thanks for this,  Graves just is so manipulative to me.  Being at Parker's.  Sparring with Eva.  I keep thinking that her motivation is to get Gideon as a means to further her career and I don't believe one single word she says.  To me, Deanna and Graves are the two most dangerous people to Gideon's freedom.  Both women have agendas.  Perhaps Sylvia is making a point here that Gideon had a reputation as a man who used women and the most dangerous to his life are women.  Not sure, but those 2 make me very nervous.

Sorry to interrupt the discussion of Anne and Llizzy.  Last night I reread the section where Eva was at Parker's and met up with Graves again and they sparred.  The line that is bothering me is about the bracelet on the Russian.  Why do you think, if indeed the case is supposedly cold, Graves tells Eva to be concerned about that bracelet?  It just is nagging at me.  What am I missing?

 

And congrats to Henry.  MAN OF STEEL  breaking records to great for him.  God, he is so hot.

After reading FSOG the cuffs and stuff that G and E use are so mild.  More mainstream to me.  I think a lot of men like control in bed and I think a lot of women love the feeling of her man needing her so much as to be in control.  Doesn't feel BDSM to me but what do I know?  Nothing about that stuff except what I read.  A

 

As for the marriage thing---my husband and I lived together before we got married 37 years ago.  Boy was that a shock to my parents.  But that piece of paper was a big deal.  We eloped also for many reasons.  So I totally get Gideon needing that sense of security.  It makes a difference in so many ways.  

 

Looked at those photos.  I have to agree about Matt.  He is gorgeous and right in so many ways but being gay doesn't work for me playing such a hetero man.  I wish I didn't know that because he has just the right look.  (My brother is a married gay man so the gay issue is just because I have to see this Gideon only into women.)  Ian has a creepy look to him.  Chris Pine is not bad.  James G also.  Most of the men are just too old.  It is hard to find the right look, attitude, and body.  A lot of those guys are either too pretty,too old, or too famous.  I am thrilled that Henry is getting his due but boy is he perfect.

I agree also.  I think they both needed to be married for so many reasons but I really want to know what vows were said.  This love is just too beautiful for words.

I must be the only one but I am not angry with Monica for sleeping with Victor.  I feel that their love is such a sad one.  She knows herself.  I know women who only date rich men.  Only would consider marrying a wealthy man---not like Stanton but well off.  Yes, Stanton is a good guy.  But we do not know about their marriage.  Wealthy men have no problem writing a check to fix something.  She may be lonely and she does love Victor.  She may be shallow.  She may know that she needs money.  But I do believe that she loves Victor and knows that it is best if they don't  get near each other because of the attraction.  Well, they did.  Mistake.  But we know nothing about the inside story of Monica and Stanton.  Just an alternate idea.

 

Where the is Book 4?  Sorry, Sylvia.  I know you are busy, but seriously, we are dying here.

I am gone today to the shore and I come back to a sex swing????????  Gorgeous pix??????  Whew.

 

Just hoping 4 comes out around Oct. and we don't have to wait until Christmas.  So, from what I read---quickly---is book 4 from Gideon's point of view?

Just read a line by Clancy. He tells Eva--Don't worry. You'll be alright. Foreshadowing?

Had thought Tat was lying about the pregnancy.  Cannot think of Cary being that careless considering how he is.  Also, this woman is not the type to be faithful.  I think it speaks volumes about Cary as a person.  It doesn't even occur to me that she is honest.  The idea of Deanna bribing Tat is quite interesting.  And makes sense.  I don't think Tat is pregnant.  

 

The 2 people who bother me the most are Graves and Deanna.  I just don't trust either.  

 

Reread the Brett chapter.  Still not sure why Eva would even invite Brett up to the apartment.  Makes no sense considering Gideon has a key, hated the video, and is so possessive.  Like asking for trouble.

Just wanted to mention that Gideon killed Nathan but many of us think that Clancy helped with the get out of jail free card.  (Moving the bracelet.)

 

Yeah, I know that.  I misstated what I meant.  I know Gideon  killed Nathan but the idea that  it was Clancy who followed him with the Russian guy and the bracelet is what I hadn't thought of and find so interesting.  My bad.

This is my very first post and I just cannot read all 98 pages but I have been browsing for days.  I love, love love Gideon and Eva.  Gideon got under my skin from the first few pages of BTY.  Some thoughts.

 

• I think the theory of Clancy being Nathan's killer is an interesting one and something I have thought about since seeing it here.
• There is something totally creepy about Deanna.  I cannot seem to put my finger on it but I think she is major trouble.
• Corinne needs to just go back to France.  An annoying person.  Her husband needs to grow a set of balls and deal.  Just sick of her.
• I do not thing Graves is truly on Eva and Gideon's side.  Just a feeling like I have about Deanna.
• Henry is the hottest guy I have seen in a very long time.  I may even have to see SUPERMAN.  lol
• I love how Gideon has opened up to Eva in EWY.  

I could go on but I am very happy to be able to start sharing opinions and thoughts here.  You guys rock.
