  Hi Chiara and Sheens, I think that G n E had this discussion with Monica before they left for the dinner because there is no way that Eva would let Gideon announce to her bosses let alone anybody else that they were engaged without telling her parents first. There is no way that Monica missed the rock on her finger when she came out of the bedroom fully dressed for the dinner so she probably asked about and they told her. Also while they were walking the red carpet for the dinner I am pretty sure the reporters and photographers also noticed the ring and they were asked and that is when the cat was let out the bag so to speak.

Ok where to begin? I love all the theories. It is true that Gideon misled Corrine but how misleading was he when he told her that they could only be friends? She knew this going in when he was trying to protect Eva. She was delusional that is a given. When Gideon and Eva had the conversation about her he said he had nothing else to say to her because she had tried to make Eva believe that they(Gideon and Corrine) had slept together twice.  I don't think that the fact that G and E are married is going to get out before second wedding. The news of the engagement is out now via the red carpet for the charity dinner. CBY is going to start with s e x scene from Thursday night Friday morning. Gideon and Eva are going to argue about her going to SD, because G already knows that Brett is going to be there. He is going to reluctantly let her and Cay go by themselves then follow maybe on Saturday. Eva is going to have a talk with her dad about Gideon and her "engagement" and pending wedding. As we have seen people with money can pull a wedding together in a matter of weeks via the Kardashians, so this will not be a problem for them. I also think that Eva told her mother that Gideon proposed before the charity dinner otherwise she would have a problem telling everybody else when her own mother did not yet know. As everybody said she was wearing her ring and I don't think Monica would have not noticed.  I think that the showdown with Lizzie happens after the SD trip cause Eva tells Gideon that Lizzie confronted her at the dinner. I also think that they discover that is was Anne at the dinner and that is also another showdown in itself. If she is trying to get back at Gideon she is only hurting herself in the long run. If she doesn't already know about her brother she will learn about him in this book, because part of the showdown involves Gideon telling her why he treated her the way he did.  On the way to SD I think Eva confides in Cary and tells him everything cause it is killing her not to. The mountain of lies between them is going to come tumbling down so Eva will feel better about her relationship with Cary. It's going to come out that either Tat is not pregnant or it is somebody else's baby. Trey is going to stand by his man because he loves Cary. He is trying his best to accept Cary for who he is. I don't think that Trey would stay with him if he didn't love him. He doesn't like the fact that Cary is bi but he is dealing with it.  I think Ireland is going to do a lot of hanging with Eva and Gideon once the Showdown with Lizzie takes place and I also think Christopher Jr. is going to be apart of the showdown but the problems between him and Gideon aren't solved until book 5.  I know I am all over the place but I have so many things running through my head right now I will be back later to finish my thoughts LOL

Hi GiGi I don't think that Corrine would be tight lipped about seeing a therapist because she is banking on Gideon feeling sorry for her and keep running every time she has some kind of crisis. Besides that in EWY when Gideon left the video launch he went over to Corrine's and that is when he was trying to explain to Corrine that maybe her medication is what is making her act so crazy and she needed to get in touch with her doctor to either correct her dosage or give her something different. So I am pretty sure that he has seen the prescription bottle.

I think he was talking about Eva. Angus said that Gideon had texted him and I think he did this while he was talking to Corrine's parents before the fight even started. Or he might have texted while watching the doctor talk to Giroux. I also think that maybe Liz might have said something to him and he wanted her out of the line of fire. From both Liz and Corrine's parents.

I had read BTY and RIY then had to wait for EWY and that is how I discovered her Georgian books I have read everything but Pride and Pleasure and that is in next month's (Aug) book budget. Eva and Gideon are inspired by Alistair and Jessica. I Love all her books that I have not into vampires and the paranormal either so I guess I will have to start at top of book pile and start reading until CBY comes out after next month I will have enough books to keep me busy for a while and also the forum so hopefully time will pass quickly. Still hoping CBY will come out in Oct. Â

Hi Barb, I feel the same way I have all of Sylvia's historical novels except for Pride and Pleasure. I have the Crossfire novels, I have Maya Banks' Sweet series and Breathless (even though I am waiting on the third) I have started getting Shayla Black's Wicked Lover's series. I have a book allotment in my budget so I can only buy so many a month but I get done with the books in a couple of days so I have to wait the rest of the month so I can get new ones.

Hi Moonfeather, Â You are right about Gideon not seeing a therapist because he was abused by one, but he started seeing Dr. Peterson because he wanted to get better for Eva, he had started going because of the nightmare that he had and Eva walked out. He didn't sleep with Corinne always came up with an excuse as to why they shouldn't spend the night together.

I don't know if you have read my other posts about my situation but sometimes parents don't see what is right in front of their faces because of how the child acts. Like I said before I was a naturally shy person so when I began to withdraw my mother didn't notice because it was already a part of my personality to be to myself. Yes Monica feels deep guilt for not noticing and she does over compensate. But I think she should cut herself some slack cuz when she did find out she did everything in her power to right that wrong. My mother didn't find out til ten years after the fact and my father still doesn't know and would like to keep it that way.

I agree that he treated her horribly, but her being a reporter and all she should have picked up on he was not that into her and she was a momentary distraction from something else. Me myself would have felt inadequate if someone answered the phone in the middle of sex. obviously he was bored or he wouldn't have answered the phone. I would have been angry and hurt but I would have gotten over it. Like he said she was overly eager and he avoids them at all cost the second time. She is using her job as a way to get back at him and in the end she will only hurt herself.

Well the way I came to read the Crossfire series is, I had read the FSOG trilogy like seven times and I was ready for something different. Was in Target and came across BTY and RIY. Almost bought RIY first but settled on BTY instead. The next day went back and got RIY cause I was done with BTY and the rest is history.

Yea I agree I liked her a lot just got done with Kate and Elliot's story going back to read the rest
