I think this is probably true. I think mark will get put as Eva's assistant because of her relationship with Gideon and Eva won't have it. Tenth floor here we come, with Mark and Megumi in tow. Plus there is the whole thing with where Megumi is.

IM going to say that Lizzy  thought Corinne was back in the picture, that is why Im sure Gideon was called to the hosp. Jean was really checking Eva out at that drink. he is a wise man and he said he saw the ring mark. He Im sure jumped at the chance to Tell Corinne that Gideon moved on hoping her could get his wife back..he as much as told that to Eva.

 

This is what is baffling me.. the next morning Gideon told eva about that tape.. He ALSO said Deanna caught up with him in the lobby..Lets think about this.. EVA"S LOBBY. she was waiting to ambush Eva and got Gideon instead. So Deanna knew about the tape..Who told her is my question.. and she is ONLY rattling Gideon's cage not helping him..

 

So I want to know who backing Deanna's information.. Christopher?

I really think Christopher is in this up to his neck!   Deanna is supposed to be a good reporter and could have many other sources, but it wouldn't suprise me in the least if Christopher isn't involved. 

 

Christopher certainly knew about the Golden video and how personal it would be to Eva and threw her (and Gideon) to the wolves in front of everyone at the video release.  He even tried to pull Gideon away from Eva at their reunion at the release, and Gideon had to tell him to walk away!  In my mind, that was not about Corrine, that was about business, but I think it was to distract Gideon from paying too much attention to what else was going on. 

 

I would not be surprised if the bands videographer contacted the record label (Christopher Jr) regarding the "real" Golden video that he had.  After all, when you want to get a bidding war going, you have to get buyers.  Christopher knew.  He wants to hurt Eva and he wants to hurt Gideon. 

 

I am in the camp that believes that both Gideon and Christopher were abused by Hugh and neither realize that the other one was.  Both boys have issues with women but they react different ways.  Gideon has gone after those that hurt him - Hugh, Dr. Terry, etc.  Christopher may be doing the same thing if in his mind he thinks Gideon brought Hugh into his life and Gideon is 'responsible' for Christophers' abuse.

Just looked again, and it switched to the March date.  .....  Oh well.  Sure wish that Captivated by You would come out!

I have a question for everyone.  We know that Lizzie called Gideon to the hospital for Corrine's OD/suicide attempt.  We also know that Corrine's parents talked to him and as JFG said to Eva, you would think  that Gideon was the husband instead of him.  My question is how did Lizzie know about the attempt and show up at the hospital?  Would Corrine's parents have called Lizzie?  Did Corrine call Lizzie or maybe Christopher Jr when she took the pills since Gideon was not taking her calls? 

 

Guess the reason I am asking is that this all goes to state of mind of certain people - I am especially thinking about Corrine, Lizzie and maybe even Christopher Jr.  If Corrine took pills and then called someone (Lizzie or Christopher Jr) then it was definitely a manipulation of the situation and she fully expected to be found (cry for help or way to get Gideon's attention!).   Then there is the question of why Lizzie would even call Gideon.  It is not as though Gideon was going to be able to do anything there at the hospital except wait with the family - and JFG was already there!  I can't help but wonder what Lizzie was thinking. 

I looked at Amazon today also and saw the BOOK date is March 2014.  But, the KINDLE date is still NOV 12, 2013!  I do hopw that is correct!

Currently showing on Showtime - The Cool Light of Day (2012) the movie that conviced me Henry was Gideon.  He looks really yummy in it even if it is a 'B' movie at best

Never heard of this movie, but looks interesting. Henry really does look yummy! My hubby won't like me drooling over such a young buck - bad enough I moon over Kevin Costner and Tom Selleck! Oh we'll .....

Welcome Costiegirl. I made the comment about the ring. I believe that Elizabeth would have thought Gideon wanted to give his girl a special ring. Since the last engagement was broken a new start would be appropriate. She didn't know about Eva since I believe that at the time Gideon got the ring, the world thought he had dumped Eva and was back with Corinne.

I hate to be a downer here, but I have a real bad feeling that if we don't get a release date really soon (like this week!), that CBY won't be out before Christmas. I hope I am wrong, or that the release date is announced soon, but I am starting to get a bad feeling.

Did I miss something? Everyone here is talking like Anne was Corinne's doctor. I don't remember that being anything more than speculation. Was that ever confirmed anywhere ??

Hotreads, you make some good points about Christoper Jr and I do like your fantasy about Magdalene blackmailing Christopher Jr.  But I think there is more to Christopher than just emulating Gideon and his dealings with women.  Christopher wants what Gideon has. 

 

But I also think that Christoper was probably abused by Hugh when he was a child.  I think Gideon and Christopher both went into 'counseling' with Hugh because of their acting out as kids and Elizabeth's inability to handle the boys along with her pregnancy.  As was said in the book, the supervising 'shrink' dealt with Elizabeth and her problems while her young assistant/student worked with Gideon.  But I don't see just Gideon getting treatment if Christopher Jr was acting up also.   I know there was a discussion about pedophiles and their having types/ages that appeal to them, but Gideon and Christopher were only about 5-6 years different in age and if Hugh had tried something with Gideon, I just feel he would go after Christopher also if he was treating him. 

 

Christopher got questioned about the 'abuse' after Gideon told Lizzie about it.  But Christopher denied it.  How would he know unless he was in treatment also?  I can't see Hugh abusing Gideon with Christopher being an onlooker?  That doesn't make sense to me.  I think Christoper was in treatment too.  I think Gideon was stronger than Christopher and overcame Hugh's threats in order to tell someone, whereas Christopher denied the abuse because he was too afraid of Hugh. (Too bad it was Lizzie!)  I believe that Gideon is not aware that Christopher was abused also. I wonder if Christopher is aware of the abuse of Gideon?  Does he blame Gideon for bringing Hugh into their lives and getting him abused?   I also believe that Gideon is not aware that Christopher was questioned about his abuse, since he has not gone after Christopher Jr to make him pay (see Hugh and Dr. Terry!).  I do wonder if Chris Sr knew about the abuse allegation?  He was obviously very busy with his career back then and may not have been home much. 

Certainly gave me a chuckle!

OK, to me this looks like a book with the note attached to it and Sylvia's name at the bottom.  But, what is the metal object at the top of the picture?  What does this all mean?

I have a question that I don't think I have seen elsewhere.  When everyone was at the video launch, Christoper Jr NEEDED to talik business with Gideon.  I felt that this was NOT having to do with Corinne calling all the family frantic about where Gideon was and why he was not returning calls. But, I have no idea what this was about.  In any case, it did pull Gideon away from Eva and occuppied him.  Even Ireland noticed that Christopher was trying to keep Gideon and Eva separate and told Christopher to knock it off because she wanted them to talk and get back together.  What was going on there?  Any ideas?

We all think Angus had some input in helping Gideon. I'm hoping when Gideon reveals all Angus gets credit in the book. His loyalty to Gideon is overwhelming.

I made a comment earlier about the confrontation near the end of EWY between Eva and Lizzie about the ring and I thoight that happened because Luzzie thought Gideon took the ring for Corinne and she was surprised when Eva showed up with it. This was after the hospital as someone pointed out. I still maintain that Gideon asked mom for the ring when everyone thought Gideon and Corinne were an item. Lizzie called Gideon from the hospital and even JFG complained that you would think Gideonwas the hubby. Lizzie still thought thee was hope for Gideon and Corinne, not realizing or wanting to realize how 'together' GidEva were. That is why she went off on Eva at the dinner when she saw Eva with 'her' ring. I am not sure of the comment about you are not taking him away from me. Would not think Lizzie had much control over Gideon. Has me puzzled???

I don't know dgcaffeine as I said that comment has always bothered me and I hope it doesn't have anything to do with the Nathan mess...

When Eva talked to Clancy when she was on her way to talk to her mom re 'bugs', he told her that he had problems keeping tabs on her and Nathan, until he could confirm Nathan was dead. Then he disabled the trackers he had on her. I really think Clancy had something to do with the bracelet because of this comment.

Just thinking, what about when Gideon says to Eva a few times "ill always find you angel.".does anyone think she will be kidnapped or hurt thats why that statement was made.

The Russians?  If Nathan had made some sort of deal to sell Eva, his death wouldn't stop anything.  Something to think about...

I thought that maybe Will was brought in to keep an eye on Eva, not sure if it was Gideon that sent him though.  He showed up right when Eva and Gideon 'broke up'.  I think Gideon would have sent a female to keep tabs, so someone else sent him maybe?

I understand.  I can't see Gideon sharing a room with his brother.  They live in a mansion and I'm sure each child has his own room. I guess it is possible but I don't see it as part of the story.  Hopefully we will know soon.

I have thought about this a little more as I am reading thru the books again. It occurred to me that Gideon does not seem to know that Christopher may have been abused too. But Lizzie said to Eva that Christopher was there and denied that Gideon was abused. The more I consider this, I think both Gideon and Christopher were abused and neither realize that the other one was. Further, I think that Christopher blames Gideon for his abuse since Gideon's behavior brought Hugh into their lives (even though Christopher was acting up also!). Gideon was about 10 and Christopher would have been 5. Both were manipulated and intimidated by Hugh and are suppressing the events. I think this, besides normal sibling rivalry, is why Christopher so hates Gideon.

One other point... When Lizzie saw her ring on Eva, she freaked out. Do you think Gideon asked her for the ring while the world thought he was back with Corinne and when Lizzie saw it on Eva she didn't know how to handle it?

Yeah, Crossfire has caught my imagination. I HATE waiting for sequel books though. Come on CBY and #5.
