 I'm with you about Cary. The first time I read the first 3 books I actually did not like him. I thought he was selfish and kind of uses Eva. After I re-read the series he grew on me but part of me still seems him as inconsiderate to Eva with T&T and Gideon.  I'm in love with the first 3 chapters. Getting inside Gideons head only made me love him more. As for Eva, not so much.  I get the Brett thing. I've been dating my boyfriend for over 4 years and about 2 years ago my ex from high school texted me and I remember the thrill of thinking he could actually want me or he is thinking about me. It's nice to get that validation or sense of being "good enough" when I felt used and pushed aside by him. I think Eva is handling it wrong but I get what she's thinking.

I saw on FB where Sylvia posted a photo about a no spoiler zone which could mean that some do have it already  Sylvia put this on FB as a reply to someone who said it's not fair that some have the book: "It is a massive undertaking to ship over a million copies of a book worldwide. Copies are presently being shipped to vendors and not all vendors have received their shipments yet. It's unfortunate that some vendors who received copies early have chosen to disregard their signed affidavits promising not to sell the book prior to Nov 18. Could this be where the bruises come from? (A fight with Christopher or Brett)  Or taken less literally, maybe a "fight" in the courtroom or with the law like legal battle?  Didn't Gideon say he practiced martial arts instead of regular gym stuff in BTY (I could be imagining that), so it could just be that. Maybe some Krav Maga stuff? Maybe Eva's dad went back with her to the classes.  Who knows about the pen, I let my mind take me all kinds of places with these things so i'll just stop there for now.
