I think that she approached him at the office for various of reasons. For once I think yes, she's afraid of making a scene, and further I believe that a part of her want to be able to reach into Gideon, and perhaps she thinks she's got a bigger shot at that in his office, when they're alone. Also I don't think she want G to see the side of her that she've shown Eva... I get so angry everytime she appears in the books My knees weakens everytime G says "Crossfire" ... A small word with such a tremendous meaning, so that's got to be one of the parts I liked the most. My least favorite part got to be the when Eva confesses that she's got confused feelings for Brett.. I have one question by the way; Page 3, when G is sifting through his e-mails, working his way towards, and I quote, "the subject line that had caught my eye the moment my e-mail opened" Did we found out what that mail was all about? I got so curious...

Yes I have noticed that too. I thought that it could be one of his control issues, "I say how-I say when", Gideons is not a man who will let you push him into a corner (understandable with his life experience in mind). He can answers questions, but on his own terms. Sometimes I think he dodges because he needs to buy time to answer, and esspesially in situations where he's in a protection modus.

If you don't mind me asking, can someone please explain how these chapter discussions works? Is it one chapter a day or?

I am not sure if Cary will manage so well on his own. I agree that he absolutely should have a place of his own, and possibly further away from G & E. I don't think he will get his independence living right next door. Besides Eva needs space too, so that she won't run to Cary (away from Gideon) every other fight they have. In this short amount of time when Eva has been focusing on G and their relationship, it's been going downhill with Cary (f.ex the cutting), so I'm afraid that he's not ready to be on his own.... Not that he is Eva and Gideons responsibility. I also agree that he needs a therapist real fast, and it would be a total disaster if that therapist were Anne....

I hope you are right, there must be a happy ending! Sylvia writing skills are amazing, I've never been so caught up in any books before. I have certainly not even considered to join any forums to discuss the books afterwards. And I've never felt such empty feeling every time I've finished a book (and felt it for days) and just longing to read more. She deserves to be at the top of the saleslist *welldone* I would't mind that the last book would be all Gideons POV, those were my favorite chapters in CBY.

3 months from book 4, will be around the premiere of FSOG. When is the premiere in US/UK? In Norway it's set to 13 th of Feburary. Ambivalence is challenging, want the book badly, but not the end of the series.

I'm afraid you're right about Cavill. I read that he's in the middle of Supermann vs Batman, estimated to be finished spring 2016. He's JUST as I pictured Gideon to be, with his intense blue eyes and huge HOT superman body *yummy*

I don't want it to end either :'( I hope we'll be satisfied with the answers in OWY or this "break-up" is going to be so hard. I can feel the grieve just thinking about the end.... I enjoyed FSOG, but Crossfire is far more better, without a doubt. If I could have decided there would be 6-8 books in this series. Then we have followed GidEva for a year. Keeping my fingers crossed so that I can see Crossfire on TV one day, that it will be send internationally.

 My theory is also based on taught behaviour. Like I've mentioned before, I believe that Gideon never learned how to handle his emotions. So many feeling is put in the "angry" box. Hugh showed him how to manage negative emotions while abusing him, and that is why he has trouble to handle it otherwise/ without the aggressive s*x. He might not know any other way (without being physical violent), because there weren't anbody around to show him. I think that the more he get pushed to his limits, the bigger possibility for him to loose control. Eva is da*n good at pushing him to the breaking point, but fortunately with love and caring instead of hate &anger. So when he gets upset his body responds automatically in the only way he knows how to cope with. for instance every time he's reminded that he can not control Eva (presumably a stress faktor), or when he is in situations which reminds him of the abuse. By acting out the way he was taught he will find some security and gain control. An example from'real life' is that Sadly some victims of abuse turn into predators as adults. Their intention isn't necessarily to harm, because they can remember how it was like for them when they were a victim. But the closeness they got, is what they miss, and they never learned how to get it without assaulting someone. This is of course no excuse for their behaviour, but an attempt to explain (which is far more easy in my own language lol) What we learned growing up is such a huge part of us, and it is so hard to get rid of or change our bad patterns.  You spoke my mind. I just want Elizabeth to vanish. I don't think Gideon will be able to forgive her, and she certainly doesn't deserve it. I'm putting her on the Krav Maga list!! I agree with you, it's fictional, but still a reality for so many people. Sylvia has absolutely not overdone the plot..... Maybe that's why we get so dedicated to the story.

I believe that you don't have to be a survivor of abuse to support or own a charity foundation?! Many people are commited to certain charities without being a victim or some kind of relatives. Isn't it normal for wealthy people to support different charities? The thought could certainly have crossed Liz mind, but she is in denial, so I'm afraid there is not much hope. Chris Sr clearly didn't know until CBY. I don't know what to believe about Chris Jr... I love Ireland, she like a breath of fresh air.

I hope the book will be released within the summer 2015. I don't know if Sylvia follows our discussion, but must be quite entertaining for her as well.

I get so excited over all these speculations, can hardly wait to see what's going to happen.... I'm hoping that OWY is twice as big as CBY, and that we will get answers to all (most of all) of our questions. I wish Sylvia could give us some teasers or hints for Christmas that would have been great!!

Interesting theory and you can be on to something. No matter what reason Elizabeth might have, there is no reason big enough for NOT believing your child. As a mother / parent it is your obligation to listen, support and believe (especially in such serious matter). The harm you cause by turning your back to your child will never go away, it scars for life. The behaviour is unforgivable in my opinion (and experience for that matter). This is a topic I'm very comitted to in real life too, and my heart bleeds for G and those people who's experienced the same. In Gideons case he were also mourning over his father in addition to the sexual abuse, poor child. She should have been able to put herself aside, and been there for G, that is what a good mother would have done.

I agree with you. I think Cary has seen pictures of Anne when he did the research of Dr.L. Didn't Cary also tell Eva in CBY, that he had quit sleeping around? Even monks got more action than he did (his words). He tries to take responsibility for making Tat pregnant, and he wants to make his relationship with Trey work. We don't know who the redhead at the gala was, regardless it's far from messing around one evening and having "an affair"?!? Since I'm on the subject, do you think it is Carys child? I'm hoping that it's not, it will ruin so much for him. I want him to be able to "grow up" and find some stability in his own life first. I want him to feel independent and have a healthy relationship. He experienced so much crap in his life and I wish all the good tings for him. A part of me thinks that Tat is taking advantage of Cary, sort of fame and glory. He lives in a great appartment, celebrity friends and a promising career and perhaps she thinks he's more wealthy than he is. There is something about that pregnancy that don't add up for me... It might be that I REALLY don't like her, she should rather go for Chris Jr!

I had a typo... I meant that G should NOT see the s*xtape, because E will snap (and run)! Has Liz mentioned that *clearly got to read it again* ???? Chris Jr knows how much that file would be worth, so I'm not surprised if he's got a copy. Chris Jr is also afraid to loose his job at Vidal records and he could use that tape to try to blackmail G, and if he chooses to sell it he would get money and opportunity to punish G by hurtig Eva. I don't trust that man one bit. He might not be as loony as Anne, but still unstable. I think he would exploit every chance he could to backstab his brother. Could there be any connection between Chris Jr og Anne, since they both want to get to Gideon...One loony to another...

Yes, but weren't there still one copy left? I thought so.... Brett or Chris Jr?!?! And G got a copy burning in his pocket I think you're right about that. In one way I want it to happen, on the other hand I just want the film to be deleted. I wonder if Gideons ever going to see it, or if he's able to keep his promise to Eva. (He should, for his own good, she's going to snap and start running again... And he has to live with the pictures in his mind!) Eva started her Krav Maga lessons before she got involved with Gideon. If I don't remember it all wrong, she's used some of her skills to fight of G when he had one of his horrible nightmares. I wish she'll be able to knock out Anne, because she REALLY deserves it!!! :D
