  1. Thank you for replying I appreciate it.  I find Sylvia to be an excellent author and read her books.  The way I interpreted her tweet was probably my imagination running wild thinking she was going to surprise us with something hahaha.

I don't know anything about Passionflix, that's why I said I would wait for the DVD and I have never downloaded anything from iTunes I guess I'm behind the times.

I love One With You and know she didn't have an epilogue because the story was based during a short time frame. So it makes sense for her to do that.

I agree with everything you said and will wait patiently (even though I'm not patient hahaha) for the books to be released.

  2. Hi D500 and jmhope long time no talk to I hope you both are well. I had a friend read the Crossfire Series and she loved the first five books she wasn't thrilled with OWY she felt too many unanswered questions. I still love all of them. Anyway a couple of things have either of you heard when So Close is going to be released? I know Sylvia has been involved in getting Afterburn Aftershock finished for the movie I'll have to wait for it to come out on DVD I don't know anything about passionflix. Also Sylvia tweeted the other day that we'd be seeing Gideon and Eva again soon do you know what she meant by that? And finally my last question have you heard anything about when Ireland might be coming out? Sorry for all of these questions but I've been having trouble logging in and I can only do it on my iPhone so I'm frustrated with my laptop.

I use a favourite to reach this page.  It does occasionally sign me out, but most sites do that.

You are both making me want to re-read the Crossfire series, but I have so much on my tbr list at the moment.  I read a book on my iPad the other day and realised towards the end that I'd read it before but couldn't actually remember having done so - yet I can recall quite a lot of the Crossfire books, for some reason they made a big impact on me.

    (Gideon ......!!!!!)

What book did you read was it good and had a HEA? I think I could retell the Crossfire series verbatim hahaha.

Glad you enjoyed them. I'm having no problem signing in.

Getting ready to go on holiday, that's when I plan on re-reading The Crossfire series

I hope you are going some where warm. We are suppose to be getting a Nor'easter on Tuesday ugh I need to move to warmer climates.  Enjoy your holiday.

The only problem I have is that I am not receiving e-mails when someone posts on topics I have subscribed to.  And today I could not access the forum using my 'favourite' on my computer but had to come via the web site.

I am hoping I fixed my sign in problem. I never thought to put this site in my favorites I just go through the web site.

  5. jmhope and D500 I read both books and I really liked them thank you for suggesting them. I hope that if a movie is done it is very close to the books.  I am still having trouble signing on and still have to change my password so I am a little frustrated but I'll keep changing it when I do sign on. I'll probably start rereading the Crossfire Series again in the not too distant future. :)

Haven't made up my mind if I am going to buy this book (kindle version) or the series....depends on the price.  Tired of buying it for $9.99 and then later on it is offered for half the price.  Other publishers/authors  do the same thing, sometimes it is "free" in the kindle version for a short time after the release date; but with no release date mentioned I don't have anything to worry about.

Hopefully we'll hear something about a release date but like I have mentioned previously I'm impatient haha.

hey how have you been?   I have been fine.   Not much activity on this website anymore.  Haven't been signing on very much, but when I do no problem.

As for her books being linked, not really, just the ones marked "series" and then the character mentioned in the book is featured in the next book in the series.  Her stand alones are just that stand alone.

Hope you decide to read Afterburn/Aftershock think you will enjoy.  BTW you can get the books together,  the one in white with the gold shoes entitled Afterburn/Aftershock

I have been good.  I haven't been signing on a lot because I constantly have trouble with it telling me that I am using the wrong password so I have to change it every time.

I don't know if you follow her on Twitter but it is saying that Afterburn/AfterShock is being adapted as a motion picture with Sylvia Day saying she is shooting for March 2018. (I will probably purchase them soon and will let you know what I thought.)

She was asked a question whether Gideon and Eva will make an appearance in Ireland's series and she said "Of course. Any man who thinks he's worthy of Ireland will have to get past Gideon first." Then said that it will be a few years because she is writing the Blacklist series now which also features some of our favorite Crossfire Books characters and it all connects.

  8. Dear jmhope, it is nice to hear from you it has been quite awhile, I hope all is well.  Thank you for responding I will have to purchase those two books. Thank you also D500 for responding, I read on Twitter about Gideon and Eva being in the Blacklist Series and Ireland's novels that is why I was curious about Afterburn/Aftershock.

I have been having difficulty signing into the fan site I have to keep changing my password in order to sign in, have either of you been having difficulties?

  9. Dear D500,

I am having Gideon and Eva withdrawals. Unfortunately I haven't read Afterburn/Aftershock yet so I'm thinking it's time. If I am thinking correctly Deanna is in this series I am wondering if Gideon is in it also, can you let me know I would appreciate it? Does this series have a happy ever after?

    Patty

  10. Thank you for replying I appreciate it. I didn't realize that Ireland was going to be a duology that's exciting. I agree the Crossfire Series was about Gideon and Eva and Sylvia did a great job in my opinion. I'm looking forward to the Blacklist Series. I'm impatient but I'll continue to read others and reread until it comes out.

  11. Happy New Year D500, I hope you are having a great year so far.  I miss Gideon and Eva so much it isn't funny. since the last time we chatted on here I have read the Crossfire Series twice I guess you could say I am obsessed hahaha.

I have a question maybe you or someone can answer it for me. I have a Twitter account however, when I tweet something to Sylvia Day (and others) I never get a response I know I have my account private so next to my name is a padlock could this be why I do not get responses? My question on Twitter to Sylvia Day was will the novel about Ireland be released after the Blacklist Series, I know I only tweeted it 14 hours ago but I was hoping I would be a response or a hello.

I bought the iTunes song and the booklet is a photo of Sylvia, the lyrics, a few sentences from the book leading up to Brett singing and a few words from after he sang.  When I pre-ordered the price was £1.49, last night before my download was available the price had dropped to 79p but I was still charged £1.49 - Amazon usually only charge you what the price is on the release day, iTunes are not sokind .

If you bought the audiobook from audible you should be able to download a fresh version including the song, ditto if in the UK and you bought the e-book from Penguin you get a version with the song.

The web site was updated today and neither of those are yet available.

I guess US readers are not getting the song as the US contract with Penguin is ended.

I was able to listen to it on YouTube in the US

  13. I really miss Gideon and Eva and am still having a hard time that it was the end of the series, I understand it was a short period of time for them June to September, however, I would have loved to read that Victor walked Eva down the aisle, also I would like to know if  Corinne went back to Mr. Giroux, along with other endings to the side characters. I know Sylvia has said in her interviews that all of her characters appear in other novels and that Ireland will have her own series, if the Blacklist series isn't coming out until sometime in 2017 I know that means that Ireland's won't be out during that year and I believe only So Close is coming out in 2017 so when will the second one come out. I guess what I'm saying is that it will be a few years before we get Ireland's. The wait is what makes me crazy because I'm an impatient person when I read a series. I hope everybody that still checks this fan site is doing well.

I was glad that Blake didn't feel he needed to see Sophia after he got that phone call from that Dom who owned The Club.  Reminded me of Corrine from Crossfire and her attempts to get Gideon back

I did compare Sophia to Corinne and was very very glad Blake didn't go to see her I felt it was Remy's responsibility to take care of her because it is his club and he wanted her from the beginning.

I enjoyed the series. It did have a HEA. At least all the storylines were wrapped up. Erica is too forgiving , especially of Daniel, even if he was her father. He hit her, threatened her and made her leave her boyfriend and had his own step son killed . At least he came through in the end. I'm still not sure of Resi.

would have liked more of the pregnancy. Overall very good

I totally agree with you she is too forgiving and I still don't trust Resi. I would have liked more about her pregnancy and the birth like how they felt when they had a girl.

Mom glad you enjoyed it as I did too.

Well I have just finished book 4. It has been good. A cross between FSOG and Crossfire series. Just can't put my brain around letting someone hit you repeatedly (with hand, paddle, or belt) and have it turn you on. Poor Erica can't catch a break. Hope they both get their HEA.  Starting book 5 now

I understand what you are saying, I did enjoy reading the series. Let me know when you finish I'd like to know what you thought at the end.

  17. I agree with both of you, yes I love how it picked up where CBY had finished with the city rising. Loved that she sent Gideon more flowers and he personally showed up in the break room to thank her and him speaking to Victor. I also feel that it was Monica who did not want exposure.

I was getting lonely not talking about or reading comments about the Crossfire Series haha thank you BettyY37 for starting this good job!

He said he had sex on average twice a week ... He said Dr. Peterson asked about "sexual encounters".  He told Eva he didnt always "nail" them and it was unusual when he did. He didn't think Dr. Peterson would appreciate the distinction lol

Yes that's it thank you for refreshing my memory haha maybe it's time for me to reread from BTY!

I also suspect the redhead kept letting Corrine in through reception. How else was it that Corrine repeatedly got in uninvited to the waiting area of Gideon's own office?

I'm glad Sylvia did not wrap up every single thread. She left us stuff lots of stuff to theorize about.

On page 206 of OWY, Gideon recalls his hotel room pre-Eva as "... the only place where I took women for sex. It was safe. Impersonal. There was nothing to learn about me there but how I looked nude and how I liked to (insert the f word here) ."

This got me thinking about the photo of him tag-teaming those two women on Cinco de Mayo. I figure he stayed clothed the whole time in the club and in his mind, toying with the women didn't count in his mind as sex. The first time he brought Eva to (insert the Big O word here) was on her living room couch, him staying clothed the entire time, so that erotic activity did not count in his mind as actual sex. And maybe, a few hours later in the limo, one of the reasons he was able to engage in actual intercourse was that he and Eva both stayed fully clothed at the time. Bottom line: until Eva broke through his inhibitions, he sometimes engaged in sexual activity with women (sometimes multiple women) in some places other than the hotel room, but outside of that room, he never went as far as intercourse, and so none of those women counted in his mind. He went 'all the way' with Deanna once and Anne repeatedly in the hotel room itself, and so in his mind, he did have sex with them.

I like how you're thinking. And as I read what you wrote I can say you're right. I can't recall the exact words but it had to do with Dr Peterson asking him about his sex life and how he answered him unless I'm wrong I thought he said he had sex maybe a couple of times a week which in my mind he was referring to the hotel, but I thought he also said he didn't "go all the way" while there. Do you remember this?

I downloaded the series to my Kindle.  I will have a lot of reading to do during my upcoming holiday!!  Did you ever read any of the books I suggested by Sylvia?  If so, I hope you will enjoy them.  Glad that you liked the Calendar Girl series; that was some really HOT reading especially May in Hawaii.

I'm actually half way thru book 5 it's very intense and definitely very hot reading. I'm anxious for the outcome haha
