  1. I am rereading OWY now I am on chapter 3 so I'm taking my time. I saw on Twitter that Sylvia said she will do a book about Ireland. I would like to know when So Close will be released but again I'm impatient haha

  2. I believe she has brain-damage because like Sandra_1705 said Monica wrote her letters and Katherine spoke in a childish manner.

As for the scene in CBY on the tenth floor I believe it was Eva's future office where she would be running Crossroads.

Yes it is brain damage sorry my mistake...my point was that there is not alot of storyline in a TV series for this type of character ...

Mistakes happen I have made a few in my posts haha in my opinion you don't need to apologize. I am not so sure a TV series will be anytime soon maybe a couple of years from now I don't know.

Just read the excerpt at the end of OWY.... So is 'the most eligible bachelor who just eloped' Gideon? Also, the story seems to be told in third person ? Is that how it's describe ?

I believe the bachelor is Gideon. I also feel the same way that it was told in third person. I also got the feeling that Lily was running away from Kane.

It was nice  "chatting " with you also.  I probably won't read the Blacklist until both books are out. It reminds me of afterburn/aftershock.  I read the excerpt for too close and Gideon was sorta mentioned "he was now the most eligible bachelor since ? Just announced his marriage.

i wish we were happier with OWY

I just read that excerpt and I see where he was mentioned. I never read afterburn/aftershock. It is good and are more books suppose to be out or did it stop at the two? The way I'm looking at the Blacklist Series is I probably will wait until all books are released the waiting makes me too anxious so I'm thinking it will be at least two years before there is a second book and then longer if there are more. I can only speak for myself that I prefer to have all book readily available (like the calendar series and fifty shades except for Christians POV which is driving me crazy waiting).

Like I said I am rereading OWY slowly maybe I will feel better don't get me wrong I loved they had a HEA but I'm greedy and wanted more.

I have always thought at some point Victor would move to New York and I thought he would work for Gideon in one of the hotel chains as director of security or corporate director of security. To even suggest he be Eva's body guard and to look the other way when they fool around is simply preposterous. No matter how long you have been married no father wants to go there with his daughter. My first thought of course was EWE. The only good thing to come out of this is that Victor and Cary would probably move in together and Cary could have a constant parent figure especially now that Monica is gone...

I agree with you. I felt Raul should be her bodyguard (if I needed one boy oh boy I would pick him).

  5. I am rereading it slowly, I am not sure how I want to comment.  But yes I love Lucky too.  I wanted a HEA and I received it. D500, sscrph,  jmhope, Nathalia, and BettyY37 I truly enjoyed chatting with you, I have been reading all of the comments (welcome to the new/newer members as well). I am not done I just don't know what to say, I will probably as I go along.

In Gideon's defense lol that was a private VIP section in probably one of his clubs so it must have been one of those girls that took the photos and btw did anyone think Deanna could have been behind the leak of that photo?

I hated the dual bachelor parties... I would much rather have read about Gideva enjoying some much needed private time  at the beach house...

I did think that Deanna was behind it. When I read the part about the photo I was not happy but I realized that it had to be old because he loves her too much to do that. I also hated the bachelor and bachelorette parties. I wanted them at the Outer Banks alone for a weekend and then have the family attend. I know Chris didn't tell Christopher about Gideon's abuse which I feel was a good thing it wasn't his story to tell, Chris obviously said something powerful to Chris for him to reach out to Gideon.

A comment on Facebook has reminded me that Sylvia said we may meet some characters in other books so who knows, maybe somewhere in The Blacklist book we may hear more about characters from Crossfire?

First let me say that Sylvia did mention at the q&a I attended that Gideon will be mentioned in the Blacklist, I also remember her saying that the book is finished but can't be published until next year (not from her end).

Now I am still trying to process OWY I will be starting my reread tonight at a slower pace. I was very sleep deprived and still am bc I finished it at 2 this morning so I feel I missed some things.  I would have loved for the epilogue to have been time down the road, I am extremely happy with the HEA but I would have loved to hear how Gideon and Eva would react to having a child.  I was so in love with Lucky being an animal lover forever they do know when something is wrong and I can speak from experience with relatives who have passed away and my dog knew. I yelled out loud when Gideon was told of the picture of him with those two woman, however Arash had said twice in OWY that he tagged two woman when they blew out Cinco de Mayo. I would have liked more closure with Corinne, Deanna and Trey. I felt it was a good move for Victor to move to NYC he missed Eva a lot. I also can't see him letting them have their way with each other in the back of the limo. Angus I just love him too and how he took care of Gideon and how Gideon felt toward him. I was shocked that Monica was shot and died it was very very late when I was reading that part and I wanted to finish but I should have reread that section again.

I thought their story was going to be 480 pages and then the epilogue then the beginning of So Close but their story ended at 462. I am being greedy and would have loved if it was 550 to 600 pages or a sixth book.

Sylvia it was such a wonderful experience for me to read the Crossfire Series, it got me through a lot of hard times, one being my daughter who is my prize possession moved 1000 miles away to go to Grad school in Florida and will be making that her permanent home :(. It was also a pleasure to meet you, you were very kind and welcoming Thank You!

    See you there .. :)

    sme

Perfect unfortunately I am at work so I'll be there tonight probably after 5pm est. I really loved having these discussions I have never done anything like this before, I feel like I have a new circle of friends I will be sad when it stops.

Smarter and suspect he genuinely cared for her and as such was backing off once he saw how happy she was with Gideon - he also did not have Anne Lucas giving him dodgy prescriptions and putting thoughts into his head, and Deanna assisting in ensuring Corinne was Gideon obsessed (guess their idea of getting back at Eva thinking he just might give her up and go back to Corinne).

Love these pictures! Loved Lucky too, Sylvia said last night that we would meet a new character.  I cried, laughed and gasped. I will start a slower reread tomorrow. I really need some sleep.

  10. Problem solved about my IPad kindle (my own fault). After meeting with Sylvia Day last evening she explained (DID NOT GIVE ANY SPOILERS) that the series was originally suppose to be 2 novels but as she was writing Gideon and Eva spoke to her and she knew it would be more being 5. She said that she took them as far as she could help them the rest is up to them. She was such an inspiration to everyone in the audience, very pleasant and personable in my opinion.  Upon reading some of the comments above I am still hoping for a happy ever after, so I am now home and will read, I am starting chapter 6 and then will reread slowly. I will not be reading the spoiler until I am finished. I hope I am strong enough not to peek.

  11. D500 and sme I am still at work and can't read until tonight you are making me excited to read even though I got very little sleep last night. I have about another 3 hours and then I hope my family doesn't disturb me.

    D500 did you finish it?

    Dear Patricia-Ann,

I am sorry for you! Did you already called the company to complain? I wish you that you soon receive your copy .. ;)

    Dear all,

I did not have any problems with my download. 10 minutes after midnight I opened my kindle programm on my laptop to see if it is already there and it was. But I was so tired .. I got to bed instead of start reading it.

Well, I am still very groggy today and a lot is on my to do on my to-do-list but I am currently on chapter 6 .. ;) Very interesting so far  .. and I am enjoying it! But will try to stay away .from the major OWY thread, just took a glimpse into it and read about a tiny little word something D500 wrote. She  has really fast read the book .. in only six hours. I must say ... I want to devour it even the first time reading ..

    Til then ..

    sme

sme I have a paperback copy and am also on chapter 6. I love it so far.

  13. First it did not download on my kindle and I'm not sure why thank God I saw her tonight and got a paperback book from her. And second I LOVE IT so far I just finished chapter 5 but I really need a couple of hours sleep before I go to work. I'm not sure I'll be able to sleep. Goodnight for now I hope everyone is reading and enjoying.

  14. What was an hour and fifteen minute drive  took 3 hours because of snow and ice ???? However arrived on time. Sylvia is a wonderful speaker and really appreciates her fans. I have received an actual signed book however driving home now so I can't start reading it. My kindle book will arrive in two hours I should be home before it arrives. I can't wait to read.

Enjoy this evening and I think you will work out quite easily what was being referred to, you've already read Chapter 1 and part of chapter 2 and this isn't very much further into that chapter.  I'm quite a way in to the book as I haven't done much else but read since I got home, it is excellent, and Gideon gets Lucky which is something really lovely.

So far a very intriguing read, ups and downs, I've laughed quite a bit (not sure I should have been!!) and the book only confirms what a great writer Sylvia is.

Thank you I'll be leaving work shortly to head to Mohegan Sun. Now I'll need to reread the quotes so we're on the same page that I'll know what has been said haha. I have to work tomorrow so I'll either be up all night reading or I just might call in sick tomorrow.

  16. sme I love this fan site and the discussions,  speaking for myself I will read OWY probably quickly at first because I'm so anxious to know what happens then I'll read it slowly so a chapter a day I could do but not now.  Again I should have my kindle copy in 9 hours and 15 minutes however I have the honor and privilege to meet Sylvia this evening and will receive a book so I should be able to start on the way home.  When I am done I am counting on you telling me what you know that has me intrigued.

The weather here is not good at the moment so it might take longer than the hour or so drive.

Mission accomplished.  As to sme's worrying item, it's something I fully expected to happen, and had written about and the promised outcome is something I had also predicted, although had not written on here about.

And I will say no more on the book until tomorrow (although I may continue to comment on things people post but definitely won't give anything away).

First book shop I went into had just one copy on the shelf, and to be honest I didn't expect that particular shop to have it, It's the first one on the street I visited that I find when I leave the tube and a good source for art books so I'd spent time in that department first.  Naturally once I had the book in hand I pretty much came straight home.

You have me very intrigued. I would like to know what you are talking about however I also don't want any spoilers haha. I will have to wait until midnight ugh I'm so anxious

Well as Amazon UK have already delivered OWY to lots of people, but my copy is still not sent, I am heading to Central London to visit bookstores in case (good excuse to do some other book buying).  Although I love my e-0book reader, I prefer to hold the paperback for the proper reading experience.  But if I am unsuccessful, well e-reader it is (in about 11 hours)

Good luck, nothing in the US so far that I know of.  I have 15 hours and 20 minutes. :(
