You know I loved the paragraph where Gideon excepts that Eva is going to the Times Square concert and what he say's but I think he is still very insecure here that Eva may not stay with him, even though she has told him she loves him and actually in Chapter 4 or 5 I think it is he tells Eva he loves her too much twice which I thought was lovely.

 

My all time favourite line in the whole book is the one in Chap 5 you have listed it above as well " Day one of my life was the day I met you", that just melted me and I think that sums up Gideon and even after reading and listening to the whole book that line still stays with me and I love it.

PS. Hope this isn't a dumb question, but how do the photos correlate to the chapter numbers, or do they? I see some photos have the chapter number on them and some don't.

 

The chapters with numbers were for counting down days to the release from Penguin and the ones without were snapshots from Sylvia day for each chapter

Ok after re reading the book, I think that at the fundraiser Eva figured out that Anne Lucas was the Dr.that Corinne was seeing at put her on the antidepressant medicine.  I think the Russian Mafia has Megumi to trafficking her.  I think we will see a showdown between Eva & Corinne.  I think Gideon is definitely going to SD with his wife.  Was I the only one that thought that Corinne baby was Gideon baby at first?  I got a little freaked out at first!  I think that Eva didn't tell her mom that Gideon had proposed because she wanted her to see the ring on her finger & I think she told her before they left for the fundraiser.  

 

It never crossed my mind that Gideon could the father. Gideon would never cheat on Eva.

 

The Mafia thing I think its just a get out of jail card for Gideon nothing more. But its possible if like someone said that Monica might be the link to the Mafia. What if they saw Monica with Megumi when they shared a cab?

Do you think that it was Elizabeth Vidal seeing Eva wearing her old engagement ring that set her off?  Which would lead me to my next question; how would Gideon get his hands on that ring?  Usually women keep their engagement rings and only pass them down to their children way later on in life (or if a child specifically asks for said ring) but usually the mother would be aware of whom her child was going to propose to?  It seemed like Elizabeth was blind-sided when she saw that ring on Eva.  What do you think?  What does everyone think?

 

I think Elizabeth might have given Gideon the ring when he was engaged to Corrine, only Gideon never gave it Corrine and he kept it since then.

Hi GiGi~ I can't imagine what is going on with Megumi. Why would she not call Eva back? That makes no sense. There has to be something going on here. Do you think Michael has done something to her?

I like that idea. But even so, surely Megumi would be able to at least take Eva's calls or text her or something.

 

With that said I was really disappointed in Monica and Victor, I know that most everyone here loves the, but I have a real problem with cheating and I hate that Monica cheated with Victor.  I also think that their cheating was important for Eva to see before she got married, so she could see the pain caused by their actions.

 

I think Clancy might know that Monica cheated. 

Eva needs to remember that a part of the promises made when getting married is to "forsake all others." Meaning she needs to forever slam shut the Brett door. She can't be "friends" with someone for whom she still feels real sexual attraction and who is actively wooing her.

 

I get that she is a nice person and all. But really her wanting to be friends with Brett I don't get it. Yet she doesn't want Gideon to be friends with Corrine. Gideon feels nothing for Corrine. She is attracted to Brett. I pray she tells Brett off in SD and says i'm sorry we cant be friends.

I have this little scene in my head from Brett & Eva's first meeting in Book 4 where Brett leans in to kiss her hello and she stops him by putting her left hand up to cover his mouth. He sees her ring and exclaims "You're engaged!" To which she replies, "Actually, I'm married."

 

And then it will be bye bye Brett

Sorry I'm jumping in and out of the discussion but has anyone talked about Megumi,

 

I think she is in an abusive relationship with Michael.  At first I thought it was CVjr. but now I think it is someone else.  I think when Lacey returns she will find Megumi beaten and report back to Martin and Eva.

 

Also, I think Christopher Jr. knows about the sex tape and is going to try to get it and release it.  I wonder if that is why Elizabeth said she knows about Eva and the rocker. 

 

 

I don't think she is sick at all either. I think Michael has her locked up.
