 I admit, I don't feel comfortable talking about this topic on this site, but since we 've opened the can of worms so to speak, the latest actors up for the role of CG are Jamie Dornan, Theo James & Christian Cooke. We'll see where this goes. Also, apparently the script is a mess so they've hired an Academy award nominated writer to fix things...i'm getting the feeling that this project may be trashed...too many problems.

this is news to me....haven't heard of those actors except for maybe Theo James....isn't he supposed to be in the movie "Divergent" out next year?  It is probably hard to get a screenplay written since alot of the dialog was typed thru e-mail between the two.

We have to have something to talk about.....just waiting for some news from  Sylvia!!  but she is busy in Olso, Norway  (lucky woman)

Chris Pine would be a good choice for CG... He has the eyes and the hair....and of course the body....  Wish Charlie Hunan would reconsider....the more I saw of him the more I thought he could pull off the character....  Lay people should keep to what they know best and not what they "hope" for....

Lionsgate missed a great publicity opportunity.  Forbes magazine published the 15 richest fictional characters.  Gideon Cross should have been #5 instead of Charles Foster Kane of "Citizen Kane" at $11.2B.  Number 4 was Tony Stark, "Ironman" at $12.4B.

 

Those of us who follow this site are already fans but think of the "buzz" for the upcoming television series for those who do not yet know about Gideon plus great publicity for the whole Crossfire book series.

who were numbers 1 , 2 , 3  ?  Was Christian Grey one of the fictional characters?  What number was Gideon Cross?

just some thoughts.....on page 348 of EWY....G and E are dancing at the function, and Eva is watching Cary dancing with the redhead...(wouldn't Gideon have recognized the girl if it was Anne)   then....he says "look at me" to Eva  she replies  "hi ace"  then he says "crossfire"   and she says " we are learning from our mistakes".  G replies "you read my mind"  ok.....what mistakes are they learning from? ( I have too much time on my hands from rereading the series)

 

then on page 355  it states that Gideon ended up on the phone....bet that is when he is making plans on going to San Diego with them....

 

any thoughts?

 

surprising that Charlie Hunan got out of FSOG....(didn't he have to sign a contract ?)  personally I was growing used to him playing the part and doing a good job

In addition.....I think Bret knows about the se x tape.....don't like him.....Eva needs to put an end to him....if she wanted to be "friends" with him, why didn't she do something sooner....afterall it had been 4 years since she seen him .

yes I was so excited when Sylvia responded to my post!!! 

this has been a good week for me.  First Sylvia responded to one of my posts ( the one about renaming books), then we got a sneek peek at the back cover....It is very interesting, but I think we are over thinking things as usual....Old enemies and past might mean Bret and the sex tape and Eva confronting him; Gideon confronting Dr. Lucas and his mother, possibly Chris, Jr.  other ladies from his past (like Deanna)  I believe Eva and Gideon are solid, just outside influences making their lives not so good.....maybe even Corinne.....so many possiblilies.

 

Now we need to see the cover and also a release date  ( I don't want much do I?)

Deeper in You was the working title of Reflected in You, but it was changed because some merchants felt the title was too suggestive and they hesitated to put the book out for their customers. The publisher didn’t want to risk the book not being available in some stores, so the title was changed.

 

Bad Boys Ahoy was titled by the original editor. Vendors have long felt that the title was inappropriate for the book, suggesting a comedic story instead of sexy historical romance. (The cartoon cover was also widely disliked) When the publisher decided to repackage the book to better reflect its contents, it was felt the title should also be updated to address the complaints.

thanks for answering my question.  After reading Scandalous Liaisons I agree the title is better and really enjoyed reading all three stories!.  Now if we could only get a release date for Captivated By You!!  I have enjoyed all your books, you are wonderful!

I am just curious why you are renaming some of your older books?  Bad Boys, Ahoy is being reissued as Scandalous Liasons.  Didn't you rename Reflected In You from Deeper in You?  The first book BBA first came out in  2006.  Hope your respond to my question.

so I am rereading the Crossfire series again......I wish we were party to them talking and getting to know each other (without activly F**) at the club that Gideon owns and had them "shown" to by an outside "hawker".  That conversation would have been interesting, we know that she probably drank too much cause Gideon had that "hangover" cure sent over the next day.  I/we need a Gid/Eva fix.....

 

we also need to hear the recording of Gideon asking Victor if he could marry his daughter....interesting to learn how he got his approval when Victor thought he was a cheater

I can see Cary participating in the wedding; standing as one of Gideon's groomsmen, but I can't see him standing on Eva's side.  I could however see Ireland being one of Eva's bridesmaids.  I am not sure if Gideon and Eva will have a maid/man of honour.  This is a big society wedding and as such, so many people will be writing and gossiping about the nuptials, so I can't see Eva adding fuel to flames.

 

Gossip sites have already speculated whether Cary and Eva were dating or the cause for Eva and Gideon's breakup.  Cary was also attacked, so that made huge headlines as well.  I don't think that Eva would do anything to create more gossip and speculation about her and Cary. 

 

Who knows though, I could just be completely overthinking this entire thing.  Now all we have to do is wait and see what Sylvia has to say about this whole thing in her next book.  I really hope that Eva and Gideon actually get married in the next book and that we won't have to wait until the fifth book for the wedding. 

yes, I don't see Cary as being Gideon's best man....

 

also, the timeframe so far in the series has been at best 2 months....unfortunately I am afraid the wedding, if it is in December, will be in book 5.  Maybe they will have an October wedding and then it could be in book 4!!!  (afterall FSOG got their wedding arranged in 1 month!!)  Monica better get planning!!  Would be interesting to see the guest list!!

 

remember when the boss told Eva that she wanted to see Mark when he got in, maybe she was going to tell him that he has a new account....the new wine that Gideon just bought into.   He is determined to have Eva work for him, like he did with the Kingsman Vodka account!

have been thinking.....why do the people who lost their money to Geoffrey Cross hold such a grudge against Gideon?  He was only 4 years old when his father did the ponzi scheme and killed himself, a child.  His mother seems to have not been affected at all; afterall she remarried and still has money.  Doesn't seem quite fair.

Like that boy that Ireland is dating....his grandparents lost money and think it convenient that Gideon made something of himself.....again he was only a child.

 

oh well, that is all   Still need some info for the release of CBY or something.

Note to Sylvia--We are dying here.  We need something.  I am in serious G and E withdrawal.  With all the traveling I am beginning to doubt we will see CBY anytime soon.  Sniff.

 

On another note, they have truly cleaned up CH and there seem to be daily postings about him.  PR for a movie not yet made.  Cannot imagine what it will be like when the movie is completed.  Yesterday there was a picture of him surrounded by some great quotes from the first book.  I kept thinking that we should perhaps, as a way of filling the void, compile our own list of quotes starting with BTY.  What do you think?

can you post any of the pictures of CH all cleaned up?  the one with the quotes would be nice!!

 

I heard or maybe read that Lionsgate wouldn't start the Crossfire series on TV until all the books were out.  Any ideas on this?   It could be two years until that show hits the airwaves. 

I was listening to the audio book version of BTY today while cleaning house. I noticed something new in the description of the guy (Daniel) at the poolside bar in Vegas. (or I think it was that character... I may have to re listen to that part of the book) It seems as if he may be of Russian heritage. He had blonde hair and a soft accent. I'm curious if he has ties to the moffia / mob in EWY, but we didn't realize it at the time? Maybe he was a scout for the kidnapping ring? (maybe I'm overthinking it as I just watched the movie "Taken" recently)

There are two Daniels in the Crossfire series so far.  Daniel #1 who works at Crosstrainer and the Danile #2 in Vegas who tried to hit on Eva.....which

well, they say make-up does wonders.....let's keep an open mind and watch for the next year their transformation.  maybe we will be surprised.

I could be wrong and it really doesn't matter, but since Martin is Stanton's Nephew and Stanton is Eva's Step Dad, wouldn't that make Martin Eva's Step-Cousin?  Again it really doesn't matter.

 

At some point Sylvia was asked if Martin is Michael and the answer was NO.  Although we don't know if Michael is really Michael or someone else going by another name, Sylvia has said that Martin is just a family member and there is no alterior motive behind him.

I stand corrected.....Martin is still Stanton's Nephew...but in EWY...Lacey called him her cousin....that is what Eva didn't correct....so I guess in the long run he is her step-cousin....  sorry ladies..

 

did you guys read who they picked to play CG and AS in FSOG?  The girl Dakota Johnson...looks to be okay, but the guy I can't remember  his name is going to have to have his hair done....couldn't really see his eyes.

And if she's sick, she could still text Eva and reply to all her phone calls.     Something is up for sure !  And isn't her roommate dating the Eva's step-cousin? so that would be just another layer - ohoooo   Six Degrees of Separation or more

Martin is Stanton's Nephew....so he is not a step-cousin.  Lacey got it wrong when she thanked Eva....(eva even said she didn't correct her,  they were in the bathroom right before the night club  s e x!!

 

Yes, Megumi talked about a blind date in EWY, but to my knowledge Eva has never met Michael.

Something just struck me as odd; why would they flex cuff Gideon and Jean Francois and then not have them arrested or turned over to the police?  Can security guards in the US physically restrain someone without being a police officer?  In Canada, someone can be detained (i.e. held in an office while a person waits for police to arrive) or separated from a situation, but they can't be handcuffed, or phsycially restrained. 

 

Just another quick thought; why would security go through all of the trouble of flex cuffing someone without then following through and having them arrested?  Thoughts?

i am not positive, but probably they could restrain ( if they didn't stop struggling or fighting) then put them in a room...Don't know why charges weren't pressed by the hospital.  This episode was really confusing, plus sending Eva off with no explanation. then not calling or anything
