   Victor and his mom must be close if she wanted her name after her.  At this point in the books, there are no mentions of any grandparents but we are trying to keep up with the characters as it is.

 She definitely has her issues and self centered but she does love Eva.

 I talk to my brother...whenever an out of state cop comes to NYC to work...they have to retake tests and go through psyc vals and everything a new hire would go through.

Debating the badge yes....Actually Victor couldn't just move to NY and make a detective.  You have to take classes (I believe 3 months) and pass a test to become a detective.  After you are made captain it becomes polictical to move up the ranks.  Julie,  I would love to go back to England.  Also, I have a nice big house and can pitch a tent out on the yard.  We have 4.5 acres - as long as you don't mind the deer, wild turkeys, and a bear but a bear hasn't been seen in my yard in along time.   We can sit around the pitfire outside and talk about the books.  We also have a dog (small) who believes she's human too.Â

I'm suppose to be working at the gym. We know we can't wait to the case drops but maybe the badge is victor moving to NYC. He's a detective too
