  1. hiya Ha! I'm not the person to ask. Most of the ladies are awesome with these pics. I did it but couldn't tell you how! Just luck. Good luck. I do know you go to your profiles, then settings, and change picture.
  2. Hahaha. That was so funny. Are you like that? Hope you don't mind your nickname, it reminds me of clouds. Lol
  3. Hi Fluffy He must be shy then, how sweet. Perhaps Sylvia can talk him round :)
  4. Absolutely. She said she felt intimidated by the thought of marriage. But at the same time, the worry was starting to disappear. It's quite natural, bringing with it new responsibilities.
  5. Hiya I agree. That door is firmly shut, never to open. The risk would be to great.
  6. hi Kirsten Have a lovely holiday. Hope it's lovely and warm for you. :)
  7. Good afternoon my little friend About time! Tell him he can rest his little hooves till the end of the year! Ciao!
  8. Hello. Glad you could join us bunch of merry women and gents(if their there). Eva has a hearing problem, we said we would club together and get her a hearing aid!! Deanna definitely has an agenda, Gideon needs to listen to Eva. She has her card marked!
  9. I'm an Essex girl!!!! Lol Howdy neighbour Oh our theories are so over the top, when Sylvia comes back from Australia, she said she would join in. Bet she has a right laugh reading our posts, we'll I hope she does. Come on then, lets have your take on the book and where it's going. We like new theories.
  10. Hello from windy England. You will have fun here. We do get a bit silly sometimes. But it's a great place.
  11. Bless him. Gideon had placed on Eva's wrist a diamond studded watch while asleep, to replace the Rolex, which Eva discarded, because Monica had had a tracking device planted in it. What a little gem(pun intended)he is? For someone who says he's not romantic, he ticks all the boxes in my book! What he won't do for his angel. :D
  12. Hi Gigi The thing is. We don't know much about Monica's past. Could she have been desperate for money being a single person. Her family had cut her off. What sort of education had she had? What career opportunities did she have, with a child in tow? What contact if any did she have with Victor? How did she support herself and Eva? Desperate people do desperate things. I couldn't see her working at a deli or corner shop!! She was a classy lady, that's why I thought she might have become a high class escort. Where she finally met Barker at a function. He was lonely, as was she. They both had a child. It doesn't sound like they loved each other, just a marriage of convenience. He was away a lot. She spent his money. The rest is history!
  13. Perhaps if we were given an insight into Monica's early days, we will get a better answer to Eva's past as a child. Poor Eva's guilt has increased, now that her father knows her terrible secret. He guilt at not being there to protect his daughter, his anger at Monica for not recognising the signs, and getting her out of the situation. This will haunt him forever now. Another life ruined by Nathan.
  14. Hi Gigi. Someone stated that Cary could have let things slip, while under the medication for his pain.
  15. This chapter is one of Eva's worst nightmares come true. Her father has found out about her abuse. It becomes too much for Eva having to deal with a devastated Victor. She pleads with him apologising, telling him she didnt want his life tainted by Nathan too. Heartbroken she seeks Gideon out, whose on the phone to Corinne. When he sees Eva's face he cuts Corinne off sharpish, going to Eva. Holding her while she sobs. Gideon tenderly stalks Eva round the apartment. After a while he sets her to work on his laptop to take her mind off Victor. A phone call to Cary later, Eva reveals the conversation with Victor. Even Cary is torn up. Gideon deals with Monica, who's been ringing non stop, obviously having had a call from Victor, by calling her, inquiring after Eva. Making it look like he is making his way back to her via her(Monica.) Favourite lines "If he(victor) mistakes you for a burglar, it won't be pretty." "At least I've got a lovely way to count the minutes until we're together again" referring to her new watch from Gideon . "I need to know your okay."
  16. Im loving this for the last book.
  17. Sylvia's FB page hit 100,000 likes yesterday. This book really hit the spot!
  18. morning from sunny England Ooh. I like your thinking. A kept woman. How easy would it be though to mingle in those sort of circles when your a single mum? How could she get an invite, to get introduced to someone powerful? Yes Monica is a beautiful woman, a head turner, and very capable of trapping a man. This secret she has, she is not comfortable with, will it hurt Eva and their relationship even more. Or could it reconcile the hurt that Monica has caused between them?
  19. hi Gigi I do have my theory on this, which I stated before. I'm thinking escort service. But Monica is obsessed with money. She married each time for money, for security. Whatever happened in her early years with Eva, possibly struggling as a single mother, made her never want to go there again. She didn't have family support. We know nothing of her living arrangements, did Victor pay maintenance? How long was she on her own? Hope Sylvia gives us some insight to Monica early days.
  20. Hi Fluffy That episode of Graham Norton was on last night. Henry and Russell were promoting the Superman film. Graham is very funny and quite risqué sometimes. Henry is on our side of the pond at the moment. I could send him to Italy for "coffee" with our good friend Gabri. :)
  21. Morning Gabri. I get what you meant. But you wrote Miss Complicated, when actually she is a Mrs. They are Mr and Mrs Complicated now! Lol We're at cross(pun intended)purposes. Have a good day in Italy. :)
  22. Hi Fluffy Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face. What a wack job. This man has no conscience.
