The cuffs weren't attached to anything. Gideon unhooked the silk ribbon joining the cuffs. It wasn't quite bondage, just cuffs. He placed them on her wrists, and told her to grip the pillow either sides. Gideon won't take Eva anywhere she can't go because of her abuse, that's why he told her to safe word before she opened her eyes, to put her mind at ease. He s afraid of triggering her, which would destroy them as a couple. She needs control, to be able to say no, which she lost when Nathan raped her. That's why Gideon always makes sure her head is in the right place. Hope that makes sense.

I believe you have to be of that ilk, to do the job that they do referring to Angus and Clancy. Their jobs entailed possibly killing people, to keep safe others. Gideon has grown up with Angus, not knowing how his abuse was stopped or by whom, Angus must have had a profound effect on Gideon, almost saving his(Gideons) life figuratively.

I'm thinking, that Gideon and Evas wedding will appear early in book 4 as LN stated, fending off the exes, letting everyone know that Eva is Gideons. But that they will renew their vows to each other in front of family and friends. Also, so Victor can give his daughters hand officially to Gideon. Monica can go whistle. :)

I agree with you. We have not had much to do with Clancy in the past, now we have a very telling comment from him. :)

Don't you think it was ironic, that day or two later, the same thing happened in reverse. Both of them were able to keep a lid on their jealousy. They have come a long way in their journey. Eva taking a step back(or forward in this case)before acting. Even when Gideon approached her on the 10th floor, she said she would rather make love, than talk about Corinne. Wouldn't we all!!
