 They are crime novels. There are 4 friends a detective, medical examiner, journalist and DA. They work together to solve and prosecute a case. There is always a romantic relationship but it is a sub plot. #12 was just released around the same time as Entwined so it sat on my Nook for awhile before I got to it.Â

 I haven't read Jeffrey Archer but I love Patricia Cornwell and Kathy Reichs. There books are well written and I always learn something. The are both well respected in forensics and many of the techniques used in the books are techniques they use in real life. A couple authors that I forgot is Preston/Child's Pendergast series. These books are good crime novels with a lot of archeology and paranormal.  For years I can predict one of my Christmas presents because my son likes Alex Cross he bought me a book and would read it as soon as I finished.Â

 We are almost half-way there in a little less then a month. Hopefully we will keep busy until snippets.

 Good to know. I thought she was about 5'4 or 5'5. Like me when I was her age.Â

 I forgot Women's Murder Club. I read those too.Â

 I am very lucky. I can walk to the beach and just veg for the day. It is most enjoyable, however I have some family members who are trying to get me to Vegas so I might do that. I love both options.

 Welcome back. I'm planning a vacation in a couple weeks but since I live on the gulf I don't know if I want to leave home or just hang out here.

 I will drink a flavored coffee occasionally but I like good old Colombian. Â

 These are the books that will get me through to my pre-orders that will be out in Aug & Sept.

   I always read and usually have a couple books going at one time. When I only purchased hard copies I kept a book in the living room and bedroom and one in the car. Now that I have a Nook I download multiple books but like Angel I have a book budget and I can only buy so many a month. There are a few writers that I purchase books as soon as they are released, like Patricia Cornwell, Kathy Reichs, Paterson's Alex Cross series, Janet Evanovich, and now Sylvia Day, & Maya Banks.  The only negative I see about the ebooks is that they don't really go on sale, at least the authors that I follow don't. I like books that pull the reader into the story and allow me to forget my problems for a time.

 I know that I won't be able to kill off the characters above. I will leave them for the truly evil among us.  I'm not mentioning any names Barb & Shaz

 I need to take a break from reading so much (and spending so much on books) but I'm addicted. I'm going to download a couple more of Sylvia's books this weekend. These sound great.

 Why did you wait so long to join in?  Magdalene has moved on. Corinne is still trying to cause trouble and Tat is a gold digger trying to come between Eva and Cary. I think she is a liar and not really preggo.

When Tatiana was prancing around naked Gideon said "Last I checked, the wife I can't resist was petite and voluptuous. Spectacularly so." I don't remember her height being 5.6

 Is she an actress or does she have any acting experience? I thought she is a model. She does have the Eva look though.  I have a feeling they will pick unknown actors.

I read Wicked Ties by Shayla Black finally. It is a good story there is one part that I wasn't too fond of but it didn't ruin the book for me. It is a little dark and I think the dark theme carries through the whole series. I think I'm going to try one more but I'm not sure.  I will not be anxiously waiting for future installments like I do for Sylvia, Maya Banks and some of the other authors I love but I will read more if I see her books on sale. I'm curious if anyone else has read any of Shayla's books and what your impression is.  When I finished Wicked Ties I wanted something light and read Wallbanger. OMG this book is so funny and has a great love story with it. Alice Clayton has two more books listed on Goodreads, The Unidentified Redhead & The Redhead Revealed. I am downloading them this weekend. (I need to take a reading break and get some of my house work done.) Â

 Generally I don't like flavored coffees. I prefer regular coffee with a little cream.Â
