 You missed some. My daughter read Twilight but I wasn't interested until after I read FSOG. The only reason I read the book was to see if I could see the similarities.  The description of the Cullen home is very similar to Christian's penthouse especially the floor to ceiling windows in the bedroom & living room, furniture, piano. Security by being removed from others (penthouse or middle of the woods) Music and skills playing the piano is a gift both Christian & Edward posses. Ana went on a trip to visit her mom on the beaches of N.C. Bella escaped to her mom's on the beaches of Fl. Ana saved Mia and Christian by facing Jack even though Christian thought she was too weak to take care of herself. Bella saved the Cullen's with skills that they didn't think she had. Christian is adopted by a doctor who saved him when he was a child. Edward is "adopted" by a doctor who saved him as a child.  There are others but I can't think of them right now. I read FSOG multiple times but I only read Twilight once and it was awhile ago.

  I hope I didn't give the wrong impression. My original comment was about the critics of the book and what the complaints were. I love FSOG and the characters are some of my favorites of all time. I have read the entire trilogy 4 or 5 times and there are sections that I go back to when I need a feel good read. (Although I read Crossfire more these days.)Â

 I guess that is one way of looking at it but I'm not sure I buy it. I think James used language that was comfortable to her. As far as I'm concerned, it doesn't matter one way or the other.

 I think he just went out with a co-worker to have fun. We don't know if the breakup from Gina was his idea or hers. Maybe Kaley wasn't really a date but the media made it appear that way.Â

 I agree. I think my original response was unclear but I haven't had time to go back and see what I wrote and clarify.  It always pays to share as my mother use to tell me.Â

 I have the original Nook tablet. When I bought mine it was before Kindle released the Fire. I like it and my only complaint is the preorder issues. Technical support told me the same thing but it doesn't always work. It makes me crazy that I can download the preorder to my phone but not to the Kindle. It took almost 4 days before I could get Entwined. It wasn't until I sent them a nasty email that they fixed the problem. Personally I think there is some wrong with my account.

 My guess is that they really weren't dating in the first place. Like someone mentioned it was most likely publicity

 I think the criticism was due to the fact that the setting of the book was Seattle/Portland area. When I read it there were some things that confused me and then after I looked up the meanings, I thought no one born in Washington, or any where in the US would say that. I was taught in creative writing to stick with what you know so the story is realistic. If the setting were London or Toronto it would have been more realistic. That said the use of British speak was insignificant to those of us who loved the story. In my opinion, the reason the books were so well loved is because the characters were so real and loveable.  These comments were usually from writers who couldn't look past the grammar, typos, setting inconsistencies, etc.

 I think I responded to this twice. I haven't had time to get on the forum regularly because it is crazy at work right now. I lose track of where I left off.Â

 There is no doubt in my mind that Mrs. Cross is going to work at Cross Industries. Gideon wants her and Eva wants to make Gideon happy. Besides, the pre-nup gave her 1/2 of everything he earns from the day they are married, she would really be working for herself.
