He's just hot in whatever he wears. Â Or not. Â ;-) -
Books as good as the Crossfire series

Language--I think most of the books in the genre have similar language. Â The Gabriel series is more romantic. Â If you are put off by language, then the Rememberance series by Aymes is less so. Â Very romantic. -

Nathalia--loved the Stark series and Gabriel series. Â Totally different but loved them both. -
Who do you see as Gideon, Eva, Cary, Mark,...?

Hi Sharon--  I said the same thing on another thread.  I think Henry is getting to be known as a film star and I wonder if he would then be uninterested in TV.   Glad Sylvia said they would be true to the story.  I think that is majorly important.  She did a fabulous job of developing both plot and characters.  To mess with what has made this series so great would be awful. -

Here is what I am thinking, though. Â If Henry is now being a major film star, would he even consider anything for TV? Â If not, then I would love to see him as CG. Â I think it will be a big deal for any career. Â As for Ana, there seem to be a lot of ingenues in Hollywood who I know nothing about but seem to be in magazines I see when I get my hair done. Â I don't think it is a demanding role where CG is. Â -

The GABRIEL aeries is one of my favorites and am waiting anxiously for the third. Â My husband and I are going to Italy in September and I intend to reread the series, making notes, before we go. Â Some of the details about the Uffizi and Florence and its countryside will come in handy. Â It is also kind of cool that part of the story takes place in Pennsylvania and I have actually been to many of the places. Â -

Just catching up and something struck me---why would Anne tell Eva to watch out for Deanna saying that he f ucks her a lot when Deanna told Eva she had a one night stand that went bad? Â Is Anne making this up or is there something we don't know about Deanna? Â When I read it before in the book, I chalked it up to Anne being jealous and making something up. Â Now I am not so sure. Â Anyone? Â BTW--the almost life-sized picture of Henry's face is a killer. Â And my husband thanks you for those amazing shorts from the past few days. Â ;-) -

I am hoping so. Â I agree that Sylvia really wouldn't let that happen if what she says about Eva getting her act together. Â But I still think Brett knows about the tape. Â If he were really interested in Eva in a good way, it would not have been 4 years since he found her. -

Loved On Dublin Street. Â Loved all the characters. Â Have not read Jane's Melody. Â Gotta do that. Â Lots of people here have recommended it. Â -

Hi Sarah-- Â You are absolutely right about everyone knowing about Eva. Â But the s ex tape being released would take a relationship with Gideon to the sleezy side. Â Not good for his PR at all. -

I totally agree about Seven Years to Sin. Â Totally see where SD got G and E. Â Loved Allistair a lot. Â All of the heroes in the Georgian series are great. Â Started And the Mountains Echoes. Â While the writing is excellent, the subject just was too depressing for me. Â There is just too much in life to be depressed about. Â Right now, I want light and se xy. Â Just me. -

Hi jls--  The BEAuTIFUL series is amazing.  Hottest s e x scenes.  Whew. And I also loved the THIS MAN series.  Loved ON DUBLIN STREET.  Liked DOWN LONDON ROAD.  UNTIL FOUNTAIN BRIDGE disappointing.  Will finish the Stark series this afternoon.  Just about finished COMPLETE ME.  So many of the books are good stories but many of the main characters remind me too much of Eva and Gideon.  Especially the male lead characters.  I think that is why I liked the GABRIEL series so much.  Gabriel. is not like Gideon at all.  There is only one Gideon. -

Hi Julie-- Â Yes, I have read them all. Â I loved them. Â I liked all of the characters both male and female. Â I really like that Sylvia has heroines who are not weak and have minds of their own. Â Really like that. Â I also like the men. Â Strong yet vulnerable and intelligent. Â I enjoy the historical aspects of the books also. Â I am not into vampires and all the paranormal stuff so these books were fun and different. Â Sharon--enjoy them. Â I know you will. -

Just finished reading SEVEN YEARS TO SIN. Â I thought I had read it before, but I didn't. Â Anyway, the similarities to Gideon and Eva are startling. Â Even to the physical traits. Â I honestly don't think anyone can do romance and hot love scenes better than Sylvia. Â Not just the s e x but getting inside the head of the characters. Â I love the Georgian series. Â Not as much as CROSSFIRE but it is up there. -

Hi fsumom-- Â I agree. Â I think Brett has seen the tape. Â I am not sure he isn't even behind it. Â GOLDEN is his big break. Â Talk about press!!!!! Â He has seen the pix of Gideon and Eva. Â Seems like everyone has. Â Imagine if it got out and the Eva in the song was THE Gideon Cross's girlfriend. Â Â Will someone please hire this man already. Â Let's get this show on the road. Â He is so hot it is beyond belief. Â -
Hi all-- Â Been reading everyone's ideas now that I finished rereading all 3 books at once. Â Wonderful ideas and I agree with a lot of them. Â Issues I think Sylvia should resolve ASAP--- Corinne needs to go back to France. Â JFG loves her and I think Corinne is not nearly as in love with Gideon as she says. Â I think all of her stalking including the suicide attempt were based partly from mismanaged drugs and in the beginning a cry for attention from her husband. Â She complains he takes her for granted. Â I am just sick of her. Monica has to come clean and Eva needs to tell her mother she is married. Â I believe the gambler husband got them into deep financial problems and she needed to divorce him and marry another rich man to pay off debt. So, she really does not have millions of her own. Â I think the gambler husband got them in contact with the Russian mob and Clancy knows all. Â That is also how Nathan got in touch with the mob. Â Perhaps he got himself into financial trouble and sought help from the mob people he met. Â I also wonder if Gideon injured Nathan and the mob guy finished him off. Eva has to get rid of Brett. Â He is no angel. Â He never talks about anything with Eva but how hot they were together. Â They never had a relationship. Â They had s e x and that was it. Â She is married now and has no need for his friendship and I don't think he is even the slight interested in being her friend. Â I also think he can and should do something with that tape although I am not totally convinced he doesn't know something about it. Â GOLDEN is his big break. Â He embarrassed Eva no end with the video. Â That is not something anyone would do who wanted a relationship. Â I think he wants to further his own career. Â He needs to go. Gideon will deal with that tape. Â No doubt. Â Sam will be history in the entertainment business. Â Remember, Gideon's empire is built on entertainment. Â Again, maybe Brett had something to do with it. Â Not sure. Eva and Cary will go to SD as many said. Â He needs to see Dr. T and she needs to tell her dad she is married. Â Brett needs to be confronted. Â Gideon will follow her or insist he come along because of the tape. Â He should and Eva should deal with it. Â A wedding for the rich can be put together in a matter of weeks. Â Go to Vera Wang and get a dress. Â (She is in NY.) Â Money will get anyone anything for the right price. Â Venue, invitations, photographer, band. Â No biggie. Â Gideon is NOT going to wait past the weekend to announce the marriage. Â Someone must have seen his ring. Â Perhaps that is what he and Ms Disgusting Deanna were talking about at the table. Â And, for that matter, if Lizzy saw the ring from across the room on Eva's finger, how did Monica miss it? Â Seriously. After the tape is dealt with, the marriage announced, the second wedding, Corinne gone, and Brett history, then we move on to Gideon "convincing" Eva is work for him. Â I agree that the 10th floor is for her. Â Mark will come with. Â The plans for Cary will go ahead. Â She will take over Gideon's foundation and start her own. Â Perhaps even do PR for Cross Industries eventually. Tat is not pregnant. Â Even if she is, she is too selfish and too into her body to allow it to enlarge. Cary will deal with that. Â Trey will stand by him and hopefully, they can make it work.. Whether he is gay or bi or hetero, when you love someone you "forsake all others" as the saying goes. Graves is not out of the picture and it scares me to think what is next. Â No clue how Sylvia will handle that. Deanna also scares me. Â There is more to her than a one night stand gone bad. Â Not sure of that.' Megumi was abused and that is why she has not come back to work. Â Maybe Chris Jr is really Michael and tried to get info on Eva. Will is more than we know also. Â Not sure how that works in either. Hoping Gideon will sic Deanna on Anne and get rid of her also. Eva will encourage Gideon to deal with Lizzy. Â It won't be easy, but I think it is necessary for him to heal. Â Lizzy needs to acknowledge that she messed up big time. Â At the end of Book 4, Eva will be pregnant. Just some ideas.

I don't get the whole Brett thing either. Â Makes no sense to me. Â She is totally committed to Gideon. Â Or perhaps in the back of her head she wants Gideon to see Brett as her Corinne? Â Honestly, Sylvia needs to fix these two story lines because I think most of us are bored with Corinne already and the thing with Brett makes no sense. Â Eva is way too jealous a person to deal with a rock star. Groupies all over the place? Â Seriously. Â What I also don't get is why she didn't just tell her mother and father she was married after they got back. Both of them liked and approved of Gideon. Â My husband and I eloped and as soon as we got home, we called our parents. Â Why is Eva dragging it out? Â Certainly isn't Gideon's idea. Â Put the ring on. Â Call Monica and Victor. Â End of. -

Well, I ordered THE TUDORS on Netflix. Â I didn't watch it before but now I think it is a no brainer. Â SUPERMAN was good. Â There is a line near the end where a female soldier---probably an officer--stands next to a colonel and is smiling. Â The officer asks her why she is smiling. Â Well, she is looking at Henry aka SUPERMAN and says---he is just so hot. Â Gotta love it. -

Hi Sheens--  Sharon is right.  These books are wonderful.  I think the main character, Lindsay Boxer, served as a model for the series THE CLOSER.  Just my opinion.  The 4 characters are fun to read because, as women, we know how important our girl friends are to us.  It is fun to see how they interact and help each other to solve cases.  Different women but so close.  The romance is definitely a subplot for all and serves to make the characters more human.   Love Nana Momma also.  Love how Alex has an amazing heart.  Lately, though, Patterson's books are not written as well.  Wondering if he has become too popular and gives an outline to someone else to write.  My husband and I do read some books in common.  Lee Child has a character we both like but I think is aimed at men more.  Jack Reacher.  Since I am into more contemporary romance these days, we are not reading the same stuff.  lol  With the weather being so awful this summer and having to spend more time indoors, I have been a reading machine. Â
